Power Tool Accessories Review DON'T BOTHER IF USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH A WOODRAT
I'm not bitter that I spent $25 for a 12 cent nut spot welded to 37 cents worth of tubing that has a 50 cent knob attached to the other end as much as you cannot use this if you also want to do plunge operations such as you would with the woodrat. The router's vibration slowly makes the whole thing tighten down the adjustment rod it is attached to. So this would work fine for a router table bur WORTHLESS IF USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE WOODRAT.

Power Tool Accessories Review Works, but takes too long to undo for bit changes...
This product does what it's supposed to do, but changing bits once you have it cranked down is a pain. It takes forever to back it off so you can get to the collet. It either needs a quick-release, or it needs a Phillips screw head mounted in the center of the know so you can use a power drill to tighten it/loosen it quickly. I drilled out the end of mine and epoxied in a good quality No. 2 Phillips machine screw--with my cordless drill it's a lot easier to run it up or down now.

Power Tool Accessories Review better than standard, but not perfect
The unit I received was bent on the threaded end. It won't affect its function but it wobbles a little when you turn the knob. I purchased it because the standard "sliding" nut wouldn't keep tight, it snapped and slid whenever I was not very careful to return the router gently enough against it. The fine depth adjuster doesn't suffer from this problem, but since you can't just disengage it from the threaded rod and slide it, you are forced to turn the knob all the way up and down for bit changes. I think a crank instead of a knob would've been more useful -- see the jig on Router Magic by Bill Hilton to see what I mean. I'm actually thinknig on modifying the DW6966 and replace the knob with a shop made crank.

Power Tool Accessories Review Not worthy of Milwaukee
I bought this to replace my 15-year-old Porter-Cable 1/4-sheet palm sander, which lacked a dust bag.

What a letdown. I love my other Milwaukee tools (cordless and corded drills and Sawzall) but this tool is junk. It vibrates so badly that it skips across the surface of the wood. The clamp levers are so weak that one of them bent the first time I used it. And the pad is so flimsy that it was damaged in two places after a half hour of use. The P-C never suffered any such problems.

I've been working wood for over 40 years and have never used such a bummer of a power tool. I think I'll stick with my P-C.

Power Tool Accessories Review Simply A Great Sander
I use palm sanders quite often at work for finishing. Compared to the Dewalt orbital palm sanders, the Milwaukee sander is a pleasure to use. It runs smoothly, has a stronger motor, and is well solidly constructed. I can feel quite a difference in vibration between the DeWalt and this one... after a half hour of using the Dewalt, I end up with tingly hands. This does not occur with the Milwaukee. Milwaukee's paper holding latches hold the paper securely, and never allows movement (again, can't say the same for the Dewalt). Top-notch unit all-around.

Power Tool Accessories Review Ron
I've owned this sander for a few months. Therefore, I can't vouch for its long term reliability. I can, however, easily recommend it to anyone looking for a nice finish sander. It's a sweet little machine, fits the hand nicely, has a much better on/off switch than some. The paper attaching clamps work great. Quite simply, it's a pleasure to use.

Power Tool Accessories Review A good choice for a beginner or a small shop
I've had this lathe for five years, and have now outgrown it. But for a beginner it was easy to set up, has good smooth variable speed control, and its easy to find chucks and accesories for it. If you are just getting started and want a lathe that you will be able to use until you become really serious about turning, this is not a bad choice at all. But a lot of people have had problems with bearings in the first couple of months - so if it does not work well right away, get a new one. Delta has good customer service and support. I have no regrets about this machine at all, and am likely to keep it in the shop for smaller jobs after I have moved up to something bigger.

Power Tool Accessories Review A little on the wobbly side
This is a good basic lathe. If I didn't get such a good deal on it, I probably would have gone for the JET.

It does have some wobble so be sure to mount it on a sturdy bench, or use the stand and mount it to the floor.

If your an ocassional lather, it should be fine, but if you into serious lathe work, look for a more sturdy tool.

Needs a TEFC Totally Enclosed Fan Motor!

Power Tool Accessories Review An OK Lathe
I have found this lathe to be pretty functional, but not as good as the JET 12" variable speed lathe that my brother just purchased. For the $, the Jet is a better buy -- heavier, nicer finish, and has less wobble than the Delta lathe. I wish I had purchased the Jet..

Power Tool Accessories Review Design blunder
Dewalt made a mistake in the design of this adapter in that the port has a diameter of 1 1/2 inches and therefore cannot be attached to a standard 1 1/4 inch vacuum hose. The package clearly states that this adapter does connect to a 1 1/4 inch hose. I contacted Dewalt but they have not responded. I contacted Amazon and they promptly sent me another one which is just as useless as the first. I tried using a 'universal adapter' and that would not fit it either. If Dewalt ever corrects the design, I will attempt to post the news here. Until then, don't buy this unless you can connect to a 1 1/2 inch (outside diameter) port.

Power Tool Accessories Review vacuum adapter
the fein vacuum hose I have fit like a glove, but the rubber clamp that holds the adapter to the belt sander came lose a couple of times during sanding. I would like to see DeWalt design a better clamp to hold the Vacuum adapter on with

Power Tool Accessories Review Works like a dream

Power Tool Accessories Review Don't waste your money
Before you buy any miter saw stand do your self a favor and go to home de pot. I am a carpenter and I purchased 2 different stands and used many others before I had the opportunity to use a M.S.U.V. (miter saw utility vehicle) made by ridgid. You can buy one for $100-$150 and nothing else comes close to the durability, reliability, and ease of use.

Power Tool Accessories Review Best for the Price
Most miter-saw stands with the features I wanted cost around two hundred dollars and are ideally suited for the professional, which I'm not. I spotted this stand in my local HD (at about half the cost listed here); researched its features and users' reviews of it on the web; bought it. Assembly was straight-forward with clear instructions. In use, the mounting is secure, and the stand stays put with rock-solid sturdiness and effortlessly extends to balance and precisely position very long pieces of lumber. Once the saw is dismounted the stand folds flat.

Wolfcraft delivers on every feature of this stand. Great for around the house or workshop; even with the saw mounted, the stand can be wheeled easily across floors. I only wish it had larger (and locking) wheels to give more mobility outside on uneven terrain. But I'm not complaining. I get more than my money's worth every time I use it. There are better stands out there, but not at the much lower price I paid for this one.

Power Tool Accessories Review Nice Fence
I agree with the other review about the time to positively identify all screws and fasteners. Also the bolt and wing nut that hold up the blade guard stripped out when I tried to align the guard. My fence is almost locked in place unless I make it slide with a rubber mallet. Overall I suppose you get what you pay for. It was a cheap saw.

Power Tool Accessories Review Delta TS220VP 10" Bench Saw Value Pack
This review is an update reflecting a couple of months of regular use. I've deducted one star for the throat insert, as detailed below.

NOT IN THE AD: The extras included in the value pack are an extra 36-tooth blade, a tool belt, a 25-ft steel tape, a 9-in level, a builder's square, and a 25-ft extension cord. The base is plastic, but should be durable.

ASSEMBLY: Assembly took over an hour, due mainly to the time required to positively identify the many fasteners.

SETUP: Heel-to-toe blade alignment, miter gauge alignment, and fence alignment were acceptable out of the box. Blade tilt stops and indicator were off, and after adjustment they did not return dependably to the preset stops.

PROs and CONs: This saw cuts well and produces clean, accurate cuts. However, as has been my previous experiences with Delta Shopmaster tools, they are a decent value for the price, but attention to detail is lacking. My main complaint with this tool is the crappy insert that doesn't sit flush with the table, causing boards to sometimes hang up on the exposed lip when ripping with the fence. This not only decreases accuracy, but leads to frustration and potentially dangerous situations when ripping thin material and cross-cutting short workpieces. Another problem is the non-standard miter gauge slots which do not accept after-market accessories such as featherboards and tenon jigs.

Power Tool Accessories Review Dewalt Nibblers
To whom it may concern. I purchased a set of DeWalt Nibblers DW896 2100 spm 16-gauge for my husband. He used them one time cut very little and they acted as if they were dull. He was cutting 29- gauge barn siding. Bought them through Amazon.com and called them and can not return because it is a couple days past their 30-day return policy. what should i do?

Power Tool Accessories Review OKLAHOMA BUILDER VERY HAPPY WITH DEWALT NIBBLER
My husband purchased a dewalt 16-gauge nibbler about 6 months ago and it has made his job much easier! He had been looking for a tool of this type for a long time. After being told by other's in his line of work what to look for, he decided to purchase one for himself. He has had only good things to say about its use and how much easier it has made his job and about how much faster he can finish a job by using the Dewalt nibbler. He would highly recommend it to anyone that constructs metal barns or puts on metal roofs.

Power Tool Accessories Review You only get one 80 grit disc!
This little sander is a great item, however the fact that you can only buy the assortment pack and no one seems to carry a five pack of 80 grit discs or a five pack of 120 or 220 grit really ticks me off. You have to buy an assortment pack at $3.99 just to get one 80 grit disc. Why dremel doesn't make the other grits available anymore is beyond me. It seems like a sleezy way to make you buy more discs then you actually need.

Power Tool Accessories Review Do-It-Yourselfer
Nice assortment of grits. If most of the work done with the Contour Sander is done with the contour "bits", a general assortment of hook-and-loop sanding sheets is all that is necessary. Of course, if you are using the detail sander attachment a lot, then you would probably want to purchase a full pack of each grit. Still, this set is good to round out the original kit.
