THIS BLADE IS VERY HANDY FOR FLUSH CUTTING IN SOFT TO SEMISOFT WOOD. DON'T EXPECT BLADE TO LAST VERY LONG. WILL CUT HARD WOOD, BUT WEARS OUT VERY FAST. NO LONGER THAN BLADE LAST WITH USE IT'S VERY PRICY.

I was dissapointed in the quality and versatility of this stand. I guess for $12.95 it is ok. Great service from Smokey Mountain.

Don't expect a Pexto for the price. Expect adequate. Expect to have to make some minor adjustments. Expect some crooked parts. Expect to have to do some clean up of gloppy finish and rough edges in the bending area.

The biggest issues are with getting the thing.

A standard pallet jack will not fit under the crate without getting back and taking a run at it. This makes it very difficult to handle inside the delivery truck and on the ground.

Be SURE to be fussy about the condition of things before the delivery driver leaves and don't let him or her decide anything for you. Remember that you can refuse delivery. If there is significant damage, refusal makes things easier for you and for Grizzly. You can open the crate by removing the two straps and just a few nails at the bottom of the long sides and lifting off the main box.

To Grizzly's credit, ALL of their people I have dealt with whether in a showroom or on the phone or through email have been friendly and have meant well and acted concerned even if they might not have been able to deal with an issue like the flimsy crates.

Expect to end up thinking "at least it was cheap."

The machine is a nice simple design reasonably well made. No problem there.

The issues are with how Grizzly does some things:

Crating and rust protection are totally inadequate.

With normal handling the mechanism for the top roll falls open in the crate and the top roll flops around breaking things. My first sample self destructed inside the crate, the second managed just minor damage to the paint. I refused delivery on the first, accepted the second.

Expect to see various rust on ground surfaces. The gunk applied at the factory in China is too thin to keep things rust free getting from the tropics to the USA.

This is a heavy-duty table - the construction is very solid. The table area is large compared to other units in this price range. The screws are well-made and there is little "slop" when changing direction. The adjustable gibs remove any side-to-side play in the sliders. The vernier scales are a little hard to read - the handwheel scale appears to be cast rather than machined, so the markings aren't as fine as I would have liked. The traverse screw does not have a stop - I moved the table a little too far and shaved some paint off the fixed vernier plate.

Unfortunately, the traverse screw on my unit was bent. After twice shipping me the wrong replacement part, Grizzly paid for return shipping on the entire table and has sent me a new unit. The entire process took six weeks. At least all of the support people I spoke with were polite and tried to be helpful. Regrettably, Grizzly does not have a toll-free customer service number.

I'd give the table four stars if it weren't for the hassle of getting it fixed.

If you consider that the body of the Ukulele comes ready built, the fretboard comes finished and with frets installed, and the neck/head are already formed this is a great kit for the price. Don't expect a top quality instrument, but use this kit as an introduction to what building a Ukulele is all about. The top and bottom of the soundbox are made of beautiful striped sapele mahogany plywood that is really stunning. The sides are not particularly attractive luan plywood. The body is well assembled with internal liners but no bracing that I can see. All the parts are well sanded and ready for finish sanding, staining and finishing. The tuners and strings are inexpensive but adequate. The directions are badly translated Chinese, but the construction is easy to figure out. The neck is to be attached by a simple butt joint, but I would suggest additonal strengthing with dowels. I would suggest shortening the nut to first fret distance by at least 1/16" for better intonation. The string height is not specified in the directions, so you better know how to adjust that properly for good playing.
The instrument I built worked out fine, the sound is not particularly loud compared to better instruments. I changed the strings to Aquila Nylgut with much better results.

Great idea, but both GyrosGuard shields can't thread onto the Dremel 935 model.

This drill index is solidly made but not precision. Bits can fit in holes up to 2 sizes smaller than the proper hole. Which was disappointing because that was why I ordered it. I have a fractional index they made 35 years ago and it is still solid and accurate, so this one should last. I can't see the nano-type stamped on the bits anymore and was hoping this index would keep them sorted - no such luck.
