Stands Review Warning on Portability
YOU CANNOT GET THE SAW THROUGH A 30" DOOR WHEN MOUNTED ON THE STAND. Everything else is great. So what? I can't move it to the basement, from the garage into the house, into my storage room. The width is 29" at the wheels. Sounds good - if any of my doors opened 180 degrees and didn't have stop molding. In practice 27.5" should have been the design width they worked within. That should not have been difficult given the saw width is 25".
And don't think you can just turn it side ways and slide it through. With the stand and blade guard installed (both require tools to remove), the profile is more than 29". You can wiggle it through but I doubt the plastic blade guard will survive too many attempts. The whole assembly is also very heavy and awkward when trying this.
Don't underestimate how important this is. Only my front door is greater than 30 inches. Every other door is 30".

Stands Review Second purchase, different purpose.
This will be my second stand, as I purchased the Bosch saw/stand combo a few years ago. The new stand will replace a mickeymouse thing now under my 10" Bosch comp.miter saw. I was looking at the Rigid MSUV table for the miter, and I'm sure it's a fine unit. But since I'm not encumbered by time, and I have lightweight portable supports, I didn't really need the on-board roller supports. And I'm very pleased with the stability and ease of set-up of the Bosch table. Besides, it's less money now than the Rigid and Amazon doesn't sell the Ridgid (not now, anyway). I'll probably have to adapt the miter hole patterns to the new saw frame, but that's minor stuff. I know how well the table saw gets around on this base, so it didn't make sense to go to something different and wind up disappointed. It really is a very well designed base!

Stands Review Bosch TS2000 Gravity-Rise Wheeled Table Saw Stand with Universal Mounting Slots
This is my second purchase of this item and I am well pleased. It is easy to assemble and easy to operate. I now own 4 of these stands and would rate them high above any other similar item on the current market regardless of price. It is very sturdy, balanced, and well designed.

Stands Review Some assembly required
I have been wanting a Powermatic 66 for over 25 years but until now had to make do with a much cheaper table saw sold by a popular chain store/catalog outfit. That saw did the job, but shook like Elvis Presley and could not be properly adjusted. Well, I have my Powermatic now, and I'm very pleased, but putting it together has been frustrating. Buyers should be aware that they are really buying a "kit" - not only is some assembly required, but some correction of manufacturing faults may be needed. The first (and biggest) problem I encountered was that the left extension wing tilted up when bolted to the table, leaving a low spot of 0.02 inch when a Starrett straight edge was laid across the assembled table. Not good! The cause was that the left edge of the main table section was not ground square with the top. Correcting this bit of sloppiness required three hours of hand fitting with a machinist's scraper and square. The second principal difficulty was discovered after frustrating hour trying to mount the front rail according to instructions. I finally realized that it could not be done because of inadequate clearance in the mounting holes. Drilling and filing fixed this. The third problem had me baffled for awhile: With the blade tilt stops set accurately at 0 and 45 degrees, the pointer could be set to register correctly at 0 or 45, but not both! After some thought, I realized that the scale had been mounted too close to the pointer. This was corrected by drilling a new mounting hole for one of the screws.

After three days of work, the saw is finally up and running. It's been too much work, but I'm going to love this saw. On the plus side, I did not have to adjust the table to put the blade parallel with the miter gauge groove. Also, vibration is minimal. I can start the saw with a nickel balanced on edge (but not a penny). Most importantly, the trunions are pretty much dead on. Measuring from the same tooth to the miter gauge grove, the distance varies no more than 0.004 inch between front and back (blade all the way up) and middle (blade down). Also, using a Starrett machinist's square, perpendicularity between blade and miter gauge shows no perceptible change as the blade is raised or lowered. These tolerances are critical because poor machining could have created errors that cannot be adjusted out (as I had with my old saw). Now that the saw is together, my only remaining complaint is that there is a low frequency (2-3 second) harmonic noise of undetermined origin. I'm sure this is the best saw available for the money, but I would have gladly spent another $100-200 for just a little extra care in machining and assembly.

Stands Review You need fine tools to build fine furniture....
and this is a fine tool. I have owned two 66's over the years and have yet to have a complaint. Thank goodness they are still being made. They are heavy, which makes them very stable, (be sure to have a lift truck deliver it). But, if you want to do accurate and fine woodworking you need this saw.

Stands Review Top notch -- worth the expense
I ordered the saw a few weeks ago on Amazon. Delivery took a while, as the freight company had to lug it across the country. Finally scheduled the delivery -- freight company was very easy to deal with and put it on a liftgate truck with no hassles. You'll want this service, by the way -- unless you happen to have a forklift in your garage.

No surprise - The pallet is *heavy*. Took about an hour to uncrate and take off all the easy-to-remove weight. That leaves about 400 pounds. Tip: if you have to move it far (such as I did, down to a basement workshop), rent a handtruck like those used for moving refrigerators. With the handtruck and three guys, it was an easy move.

Pretty much everything was dead-on accurate out of the box. Once hooked up to power (remember you have to supply your own power cord), it cuts smoothly and cleanly. The trunion moves incredibly easily, especially considering its weight -- but doesn't budge once locked in place.

All in all, it was worth the wait (and the weight)! Highly recommended.

Stands Review It will do.
I bought the item because the Starbucks, where I have coffee every afternoon, is not well illuminated. As I am almost an octegenarian, this interferes with my reading the Wall Street Journal. I became acquainted with the above item because my son gave a cheaper version, at Christmas, to all the grandchildren. I was intrigued and when I told him of the problem, he recommended the above version as being better suited. He was correct, though at times, when in use, it shuts down when it should stay on. I was able to diagnose the problem as due to my head movements, or general vibrations in the area, slightly shifting of one or more of the batteries so they loose contact. It's annoying, but could be easily corrected by the manufacturer.

I purchased the light for a very reasonable price ($29?) and free shipping! The light works GREAT. It is much brighter than the original one that had only 3 bulbs. I like the less restrictive elastic cord and zinger over the more cumbersome bands. A great item at a GREAT price.

Stands Review Came at the perfect time
The day after this little jewel came, I had to repair the drain stop in the quest bath. I, as always, could not seem to get the flash lite in the right position to see up behind the sink. Then I thought of my new little lite. I put it on my forhead and kaboom, it lit up the area that I wanted to see like daylight. I also found it very handy handy when I'm doing work on my lathe or mill. The light goes right where I'm looking and you don't even know it's there. One of the few products that I have purchased in recent years that really exceeded my expectations.

Stands Review KENSAL
THIS WHEELBARROW WAS VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE. IT IS VERY STABLE DUE TO THE DOUBLE WHEEL DESIGN. IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT DUE TO THE MATERIAL USED FOR THE CONTAINER. I CHECKED OTHER BRANDS AVAILABLE AT THE MAJOR HOME STORE WARE HOUSES, AND CHOOSE THIS ONE HANDS DOWN EVEN THROUGH IT WAS HIGHER PRICED. IF YOU INTEND TO USE THIS WHEELBARROW FOR HEAVY LOADS THIS IS THE ONE I RECOMMEND.I HAVE PURCHASED THE OTHER CHEAPER BRANDS AND STYLES IN THE PAST AND THEY JUST DID NOT HOLD UP.

Stands Review Two "IS" better than One!
I should have made this purchase years ago. I do a lot of yard work and carry a lot of cord wood from the back fence to the house. My 1/2 acre property is not really that hilly but it does have quite a few rolling spots and side hill areas. The difficulty of carrying heavy loads is doubled when you have to balance that load over slanted or knobby terrain. The two front wheels even make the load seem lighter but the best part is that the balancing act is gone. I am a lot less tired after a day's work with my new two wheeled barrow because I don't have the arm and back strain I used to have with my old single wheeled barrow. The balancing act is gone. So are the the spilt loads caused by uneven landscape. Now my wife can even help bring in the wood. Tell me that doesn't add to your decision to buy the Brentwood Industries Double Wheel Wheelbarrow.

Stands Review The best wheelbarrow I've ever seen or used
I had to bite the bullet to pay for this premium-priced wheelbarrow, and convince my wife our old single-wheel model had to go. She was skeptical at first, but now that we've both used this one for a few weeks, WOW! What a huge difference the second wheel makes. And the construction of this one, compared to the two-wheeled Jackson we almost bought, is superb. We only had to spend about $25 more for this one. and it's worth every penny. I've filled it with 250-300 pounds of rocks, and had no problem on the steep side slope of our yard when hauling them to the back for dumping. The thick tray is sure to last much longer than the thinner ones I looked at when shopping around.

A great product. If you haul anything heavy, and want a wheelbarrow that seems like it might last a lifetime, this is the one you want.

Stands Review Very Nice
I recently recieved this sander although I ordered the version with the enclosed base(a nice option- good storage underneath for belts and discs- you have to go through all the Jet listings on Amazon to find it). Its very nice- lots of power, the spring loaded belt tension arm is a nice touch, although the tracking adjustment requires attention more often than other sanders I've used - it does the job though. The dust collection works pretty well, the miter gauge isn't very accurate, but for normal wood-working it should suffice. Nice machine, my second Jet tool.

Stands Review Great machine
Tried to bog it down just to test it.....it is TOUGH....it is a little hard to get used to the belt tracking mechanism, but once you master it...you have a really durable tool.

Stands Review Better Replacement
This combination disk/belt sander replaced a Sears disk/belt sander. I didn't know how bad it was until I got the Jet sander set-up and running. The factory where they built the sander has a very good workforce to build a VERY GOOD product. With this in mind, I will buy another Jet product in the future.

Stands Review MK-100 TILE SAW (MK DIAMOND PRODUCTS)
The saw itself gets five stars. The only problem is hangup of the slider which can be relieved with a shot of lubricant from time to time. However, the base is CHEAP and wobbles during operation. I intend to reinforce the base with plywood or metal braces, but of course this should not be my job.

Stands Review Easy to use entry level pro quality saw
Realizing that a good quality tile saw was going to be required for the extensive tile work that my wife and I are doing in our home remodeling projects, I did extensive research. After about two weeks of reading reviews and spec sheets, I finally settled on this saw. While I believe the professionals would consider this strictly an entry level saw, for the home owner or remodeler planning complex or extensive tile work I doubt you can do any better.

Set up was very quick out of the carton with only the occasional interesting language "glitches" in the technical manual. All the parts aligned well and fit together easily. The pump system gives you the option of drawing fresh water from a bucket or recycling water in the catch tray. Save yourself a lot of grief and use a bucket. The catch tray is large enough to allow lots of cuts before it has to be emptied and recycling the catch water through the pump will wear out your pump much quicker.

I used a much lower quality tile saw several years ago and was surprised at how much faster this machine goes through a 12" tile. Repeat cuts are quick to set up and accurate. I am a custom furniture maker by trade so I have designed jigs for the various "trick" cuts we are making. If you are not proficient at designing and making specialized jigs or don't plan a lot of of angle cuts I would strongly suggest buying the accessory cutting kit along with this saw.

I buy a lot of tools over the course of a year. It is always gratifying to find one that does exactly what it is intended to do easily and consistently. I have been very pleased with the performance of this saw and would not hesitate to recommend it to any home owner, handyman, or remodeler who does not do tile work full-time but needs a strong, versitile, reliable saw.

Stands Review great tile saw for a great value
I happened to buy this saw during the sale that gave the tile stand for free ($89 value), as well as getting the $110 off sale price. With the free shipping I got a screaming deal. I am a weekender home repair guy so this was perfect. The MK101 is what I usually rent from Home Depot, so this is a little step down from that. Very easy setup. The tray does not run as smoothly as the MK101. Difficult to grease the bearings as it is so wet, of course. Everything else is pretty much the same. 5 stars for value. And 4 and a half stars for performance.

Stands Review Excellent Stand...
This stand is very well engineered...both in design and ergonomics. As a professional woodturner, I've used many lathes and stands. For a mini lathe (Jet, Delta, Carb-a-tec, Rikon, General, Vicmark, etc), its THE stand to get. Very sturdy and adjustable. The fact that there is nothing at your feet directly under the bed of the lathe makes it VERY nice. The only drawback (if any) is the fact it doesn't fold up and takes up a bit of room in the shop. But its worth it to have a stable, comfortable turning platform.

Stands Review Lathe Stand
I ordered this stand with the JET mini variable speed lathe. They arrived together. I had the lathe on the stand in about an hour. As a non-woodworking grandma I found it easy to assemble and not so heavy that I couldn't do it by myself. I am waiting for a rolling cart to arrive so that I can wheel it around in the barn and use it where it is easy to clean up after use. Sweep those shaving out the door! Buy one and you will like it. Sure saves on workbench space.

Stands Review worthwhile addition to lathe
It's not like you couldn't build something this good or use a Workmate, as I did for a couple of years, but this stand is nicely made, stable, and easy to assemble. The paint and finish are the same as the lathe.
I have two Jet mini lathes, one of which I made a stand for (the non-variable speed), and a variable speed which I bought this stand for because I didn't have time to make one and the Workmate does not allow a compfortable stance while working. The lathe is fairly small and you need to be able to get up close to it or you will find that the bending over for any length of time causes back aches. The Jet JML-S is built without restriction at the front and allows a height adjustment range of 3-4 inches.
I initially set it all the way up, but found that about the middle was right for me. Quick and easy change.
Sometimes it's worth it to spend a little more and save some time.

Stands Review What happened to the price?
I have this belt on my table saw and can recommend it without reservation. However, this always sold for under thirty dollars on Amazon but the price recently jumped to over ninety. What's up with that?

Stands Review The vibration is gone
I purchased the powertwist belt for my Jet drill press just recently on a hunch that it would help eliminate some of the annoying vibration. I thought the drill press was just not well balanced and built to marginal tolerances. It was amazing how adding the power twist belt virtually eliminated significant vibration. The drill press is like a totally different tool. My advice to Jet or Delta is: Put one of these on at the factory. The only gotcha is the directions are not as clear as they should be and I would think that people with poor eye hand coordination, arthritis and visualizing things in space may have a little frustration at first ( but if they do what are they doing messing around with sharp, spinning, grinding things anyway?)

Stands Review Keep the old girl
I was ready to get rid of my saw, and buy a new one. Even with a new belt, it vibrated so bad, the pullies would come loose. I put this belt on in a couple of minutes, and it was smooth as could be. I definitely recommend this belt.

Stands Review Link to PDF Product Manual is Wrong
This is not a review. This is just a bit of information for a potential buyer who may be looking for additional information on the 78-939 Cut-Off Stop product.

The link on this product description page, to the PDF product manual is wrong. Instead of taking you to the 78-939 Cut-Off Stop for T-Square Fences product manual, it takes you instead to the Biesemeyer T-Square Miter Saw Table Instruction Manual. This is kind of sad since I was interested in obtaining a lot more information about the Cut-Off Stop than was given in the sparse product description. I gave the product 3 stars because I had to rate this item to get the review published and I didn't want to be unfair.

I informed Amazon about this problem months ago but I see that nothing has changed.

Stands Review For Safety
It scores for function and safety but I had to remove excess paint to make it parrallel to the fence. This also improved the thickness dimension from over 1-1/32" to 1-1/64". It should be considered an essential tool for safety. I had the bruises to prove it after years of dumb luck.

Stands Review Best little addition for a table saw
I've been delaying buying this for years, but finally did it. I have been very happy with it's performance so far. Much easier than clamping a scrap on the fence.
