Stands Review Nothing Special - Realy
The only reason you buy this stand is to use it with the D24000 saw. It is nothing special. The adjustable legs are tightened with the screw so you adjust it once and forget it. Dear DeWalt, for $100 stand if not including wheels, at least include some hard plastic shoes on the bottom of the legs so you can slide it if needed.

The saw itself though is great!

Stands Review Great Accessory
This is a great compliment for Dewalts Tile saw. Adjustable legs give you the option to tilt the tile saw pan for better drainage.. Feels a little flimzy at first until you get use to it..

Dewalt Still Makes Great Products!!!!

Stands Review Looks pretty...but
I bought this saw about a year and a half ago thinking it would save on rental fees. The table is warped which makes it impossible to get two pieces from one. The weight of the "waste side causes it to drop and snap the tile. Leaving a rather large piece of scrap. Mk said no problem and a new table arrives only to be warped. In order to finish this job I'm back at the rental center. "Made In The U.S.A." Where is the quality control??? Idon't know if Mk is aware of the fact that this make both me and the MK Company look pretty bad in the eyes of my customers. But I do have to admit that the red color of the tool is pretty. I'll find someone to unload this on and will be looking at the imports very quickly. I'm losing time, money and not to mention wasting material.

Stands Review Best Tile Saw around especially for the money
I am sorry to hear of the warped table problem the other reviewer had. Although I don't know how it could be possible because this is a cast aluminum table and then ground to a finish level. So if it were warped it would probably be destroyed too. Anyway, this saw it quite simply fantastic. I was cutting dense fossil ridden limestone today and was blowing right through 16"x1/2" thick tiles like butter and my starret square said they were perfect!. Wonderful American Made Baldor motor, legendary MK 101 base & body, smooth as glass & flat as glass table top, (despite this other poor fella's claims) beautiful cuts up to 24"!!! What other saw for this price can do that at this price & have a legendary reputation to stand on. Don't let him fool you this saw is a winner!!

    Stands Review Definitely underpowered...
I found the electric switch box quite small for wiring the cord into. Magnetic switch boxes have more room to hook the machine up as well as an added safety feature. In the event of loss of power the machine must be manually restarted after power is restored.
The tables were difficult to get aligned. I need two people to get the tables aligned, since they are so heavy.
The biggest problem is that the 1 1/2 HP motor is underpowered for that big a jointer. When I face joint a 7 1/2 " wide piece of oak, I have to feed it very slowly in order to get it through without bogging down the machine. I intend to either put a 2 HP motor on this machine or replace it entirely with a 2 hp model.
I have been told that any Powermatic machine with an "A" at the end of the model number is made in Asia, Tiawan or China.

Stands Review Powermatic Model 60A 8" jointer
I recently purchased an American made Powermatic Model 60A jointer. It was lacking in some basic things. First of all it did not come with everything required to make it usable. I was quite upset to buy a high priced top of the line machine and have to go shopping for bolts and electrical parts to make the machine complete. The bolts to mount the jointer to the base were not supplied nor was there a power cord included with the machine. The electrical box for the power switch is so small for the switch supplied that it is almost impossible to install the power cable, connect to the switch and get all wiring situated such that the switch can be reinstalled in the box. After getting the power cord installed I thought I was set only to discover the factory wired rotation of the motor was backwards. I had to unmount the motor to get to the electrical box on the motor and re connect for the correct rotation.

I purchased the custom mobile base manufactured specifically for this machine. The mobile base is 2 inches too wide and 3 inches too long for the base of the machine. Albeit this is a "custom fit" mobile base a universal base would have been a better fit for a lot less money.

The fence system is not as good as I expected it to be. The rack and pinion system that is supposed to keep the fence angle unchanged when raising or lowering the fence does not work. If the height of the fence is changed the control arm has to be re adjusted to make the fence square with the tables. If the fence is all the way down it drags on the table when moving it from side to side. I set it up about 1/16 inch so it would not drag on the table. Fortunately I seldom use a jointer in an application that requires the fence being set other than 90 degrees so once the fence is adjusted for height and squareness it can be moved from side to side without changing the height setting. The only other problem with the fence is it tracks greese across the table when moving it.

Once I completed all of the frustrations of making the machine operational it is a fantastic machine. The tables are easy to adjust and are very straight and true. I think a machine in this price range should be more complete and ready to use than this machine was when received. This is my first Powermatic machine. I have several top of the line Delta machines and have never had this kind of problems with initial set up. This is a quality machine but if I had the purchase to do over I would probably buy a Delta DJ-20 instead of the Powermatic 60A. My next purchase is going to be a top of the line shaper. I was planning to buy a Powermatic model 27 but after the problems I had with the jointer I probably will buy a Delta shaper. This is probably my first, last and only Powermatic machine I will ever own. It has been my goal for all of the principal machines in my shop to be American made. I have been phasing out all foreign made machines but I have never had the difficulty setting up a foreign machine that I had with this Powermatic jointer. In my opinion all of the difficulties I had making this jointer operational were due to the lack of good quality control on the part of Powermatic.

To summerize: After resolving all of the setup problems this is a very functional machine but for being the most expensive 8" jointer available it should have at least had all necessary parts to make it operational included in the shipment.

    Stands Review major disappointment
I was in the process of upgrading my shop and wanted a jointer with longer beds than my 8" Grizzly. After reading the review (the only one at your site) I was sold. I received my jointer Dec. 29,2005 and couldn't wait to get it set up, which I could never do. Powermatic actually authorized a local dealer to come to my shop and adjust it for me. After 3 hours and lots of frustration, we found that the outfeed table had a .006 bow, and the infeed table had an .008 bow, which the technician said was unacceptable and that was causing my problems. After they contacted Powermatic, they said that those tolerances are acceptable, and they would not do anything about it. Now I have a jointer that does not produce good glue joints. Also the fence had a bow in it. I am very disappointed and am looking into returning the Powermatic and returning to my Grizzly.

    Stands Review Awesome jointer!
Just P/U today (Not such an easy task at 610Lbs.) Shipping is around 750. I also have a DJ20; I was made an offer for that old stand by that was to good to pass up. Thus I purchased the PJ882. This is my first Powermatic piece of gear so I was a bit hesitant, those fears were quickly erased. Powermatic being thoughtful has 4 built-in pins under the tables that slide out so you can use straps to lift the 882 without disturbing the I & O tables. SMART! There is no real assemble, the unit is near ready for work right out of the box. I opted for the 3 phase (because I can), I had my machinist 24"straight edge, machinist square, 45 triangle, all ready for those expected adjustment. Everything looked great. After a quick wire-up I hit the start button, which by the way is lofted up on it own stand above the tables and utilizes a twit lock type stop button, very nice! I started with an old bent, twisted 2x4. Within a pass or two I had a square piece of lumber. No snipe, no tear out, no adjustments necessary. But if there were any needed the way this system (Parallelogram) works you can completely adjust both tables 4 corners using a cam system, again SMART!
Only dislike; very minor, but there is a plastic piece that is mounted with two screws to the bottom face of the fence, this keeps the fence bottom from tearing up, (scratching) the out feed table while adjusting, (45 forward to 45 backward) you just need to make sure that it is not proud of the fence otherwise your pushing a piece through and it will catch. Easy fix, just be aware.
Go for it! I don't think you'll be disappointed. 83" table surface, niiiiice!

Stands Review Good idea... but poor design
I bought the router extension as an add-on to the outstanding porta-max series of table saw stands. I must say that I have found it to be mainly useless.

    1. This router extension slides into the portamax rails and is leveled to the portamax table surface using set screws. As soon as you apply a load to the router extension, the set screws dent the portamax rails. This makes levelling difficult and of course causes unsightly damage to the portamax.

    2. The otherwise excellent portamax fence is useless as a router fence. The vibration and pulling motion created when routing with the extension table cause the fence to slide no matter how hard I was able to crank down the friction cam.

    3. The thickness (or should I say thinness) of the particle board top and the choice of mounting points makes clamping an alternate fence impossible. Applying appropriate clamping force causes large bowing and flexing of the laminate top. The result is that once you discover that the portamax fence can't be used, you discover you can't clamp a straight board as a fence either.

    4. The choice of the pop-out ring sizes in the plastic insert are such that the Dewalt DW-621 cannot be bolted to the insert and must be bolted to an intermediate plate which is then bolted to the insert. This is mainly Dewalt's fault since the DW-621 base is famously small and narrow.

The bottom line is that for $100 you do not get much. I only got the plastic insert which I built my own table around. Anyone looking to add this to their portamax should think twice. Save yourself the hassle and just buy the plastic insert.

Stands Review he he,.. the answer is no. I do not work for Rousseau.
Like most home improvements contractors, I place a high value on tools that bring 'shop' performance to jobsites without taking up valuable space in my vehicle and/or several heavy trips to load and unload.

This router table does that and has replaced other router tables because it is durable, accurate, more versatile and takes up a fraction of the space.

Like Rousseau's stable and accurate table saw mounting system, the extension table setup and adjustment, once done, rarely needs adjustment through repeated setups and breakdowns. You slide it into the table saw stand and you're ready to set up bits and/or fences.

While the router table is a great extension to the table saw stand, I use it just as often by itself by just spanning it across horses or a garbage pail(most sawdust goes straight to where it belongs. Though you could rig a shop-vac without too much thought if you need better dust removal).

While Rousseau's table saw fence can be used in this configuration for some applications and as a stable and accurate stage for jigs, their router table fence is another fine tool that deserves very serious consideration too.

Additional removable base plates are readily available(or can be easily made in the field). This allows you to mount a variety of tools to different base plates and swap them rapidly.

Several years ago, when I first bought the table saw stand, router/extension table and router fence system, I had doubts about its durability,.. and I'm beginning to wonder how many more times it will pay for itself and how many more years of abuse it will take for me to finally be able to claim I was right all along.

    )

P.S. I found this company's customer support to be one of the best I have dealt with, and if y'all read these things, I'd like to thank you again for helping my distributor get your product to me more quickly than they thought(or told me was) possible.

    Stands Review Still waiting
I ordered this outfeed table on July 1 when I placed my order for the Rousseau 2775 table saw stand. I got the stand quickly. Amazon has been very good about keeping me informed of the status of the order. However, it has now been over a month since I placed the order. Either Rousseau has one heck of a back log on orders for this outfeed table, or they don't care that much. Ill wait, because I think it is a good purchase. Hey Rousseau....Wake up.

    Stands Review gotta have it
I absolutely wouldn't be without this table. It in combination with the 2700 xl table takes an ordinary table saw and turns it into a high end cutting machine. It increases the capacity as well as the safety. You can do so much more with your saw when you know you have the extra support you need. I am so spoiled by this setup , that I can hardly stand to use other saws . Unless of course they have one of these attached .

Stands Review quick set up. but that is it
Yes it sets up in seconds..but the stabilty is the pits. if you own a dewalt 12 inch saw or any other saw that is other than small, stay away from this product. you will have to make some supports for the saw and also the legs bite into the wood so-so. the teeth on the legs bend as much as they bite. quality of this product is poor.

Stands Review I love this stand
I have used most saw stands, but this is my favorite. It goes together in under 5 minutes and disassembles in under 2 minutes. It folds into a such a compact size, I can throw it behind the seat of my truck. I like the fact that it uses 2x lumber for the center support, rather than a special steel structure like some others. There is always a spare board around the worksight so it saves me carrying a center support. It is sturdy but I recommend assembling it with a 10 inch piece of lumber if you are cutting longer stock. The only drawback is that the legs do not clamp onto the stand for carrying- although the rest of the unit clamps together nicely. I jury-rigged two bar clamps to hold the legs for carrying and then use the same clamps to hold the saw tight when assembled.

    Stands Review Light duty stand
Overall this is not a bad feed roller. It fits my Ridgid radial arm saw well. The only thing wrong was the roller-axle is only held in place with plastic slip-on ends, all of which fell off in shipping. I simply drilled each end of the axle and placed a pin through. Now the work well and when folded take up little space for storage.

    Stands Review Safety and quality
I have two of these for my shop. I use them with my planer and jointer. They help control long boards. This helps with the quality of the work, but much more important is that it helps with the safety.

Stands Review Great until the filter gets dirty, then forget it!
Please notice that all of the positive reviews (mostly) are for new owners. The biggest problem with this vacuum is in the filter design.
The directions for cleaning the filter is to remove the filter and bang it against the ground or the side of the trash can. This leaves you bringing dust and grime back into your home. The filter is right in the middle of all of the dirt you just vacuumed up. Okay, so maybe, I thought, take the filter outside to clean. There better be NO WIND> I wound up one time covered in dust. I looked for the replacement filter and found it to be so expensive, I might as well dump this machine when the filter no longer works. There have GOT to be better models out there! I plan to find out!

Stands Review Do Not Waste Your Money on this DOG!!!!
This is my first and last Dirt Devil. I bought one of these 2 years ago, believing it was one of the best out there (thanks to Dirt Devil's superior advertising folks!). Well it has fallen apart rather nicely since then. The handle has broken off. The part that holds it in the upright position is now broken. The suction is terrible. The filters cost alot of $$$ and are hard to find. And, last but not least, all the rubber hosing that connects the motor fan to the base unit has cracked, making this a virtually worthless machine in only 2 years. Better Luck Next Time Dirt Devil!

Stands Review Not "for the dogs"
Pros: absolutely the best suction you can find...it will suck up EVERYTHING.
    Cons: well see below...

If you have animals, do NOT buy this vac. I have had it over a year now and although it has great suction it is so hard to empty the canister that I think it isn't worth having. Also the design is poor. The filter should not be in with all the dirt and hair! Trying to clean that is a nightmare and as another reiewer said you can not get the hair and dirt off.It ends up being a smelly mess and now if I vacuum with it my house smells !! You are not supposed to clean the filters and replacements are like 30.00 and take 2 weeks to arrive. It is very hard to push and the caster wheels are more of a pain than a help. However, I must admit even though I have now replaced this vacuum it does have the BEST suction of any vacuum I have ever owned including my new Bissell lift off bagless.

Stands Review Not for carpets with hair
This little vacuum is not useful if there is hair(human) spread on the carpet. We have to manually remove the hair after vacuuming.
Not only that, the accessories do not serve the purpose as the hose is very short.
I don't recommend this product for anybody.

Stands Review Not very good for anyone with pets
This does not pick up hair very well and is meant for mere surface dust. Stopped working at all after about eight months.

Stands Review Two stars is generous for this vacuum
I received this item last year as a Christmas gift. I had specifically asked for this electric broom since I had done some research on-line and this one sounded the best. I have five pugs and they shed 365 days a year! Some days they shed like ten pugs, it is very frustrating because the hair is always there. I needed an easy to use vacuum since we only have a central vac system in our house.
At first I thought this product was great and easy to use. But the more I used it the more frustrated I got. The hose attachment is so inconvenient to use. Plus it could be about 3 feet longer to reach anything important. I found myself having to hold the elec-broom up off the ground to reach some cobwebs in a corner. It is light but cumbersome to have to lift and vacuum with. It would be nice if the unit could stand on it's own. If you have to stop for a second to move something you basically have to lay the unit on the floor.
It also doesn't reach underneath any type of furniture. Plus the way the front release is positioned it is in the right spot to have the overhang on the bottom of my kitchen cabinets hit it and make the filter become unhooked.
I found it annoying to have to empty the filter so often and the vacuum got pretty dingy and dirty itself. The button that allows you to turn off the brush is located at foot level which makes you think you can use your foot to turn it on and off. It took a few months but the switch broke quickly (luckily my husband is handy and he was able to fix it). Now I have to be very careful when I use the switch.
At this time I find myself looking for a new unit. One that can do the job I need. If you have pets that shed a lot and want to use an electric broom daily, I wouldn't waist my time or money with this vacuum.
