Price at Amazon was the best around. Much better than the suggested retail price. Still, the item is very overpriced for what you get.

Amazon GOOD - Milwaukee BAD

Milwaukee invented the sawzall, and in my opinion, they still produce a superior product. The blade changes quickly, and the tool itself seems much more durable than other brands. The drill is excellent. The battery can be inserted so as to allow the tool to stand up on its own, or the otherway to allow for tighter spaces.

Battery life is better than average, and this screw gun/hammer drill complements the Magnum Drill nicely.

A great set.

The Milwaukee 2.4-Volt cordless Screwdrivers are the best on the market. They have awesome power and lock the bit when off so that you can turn the whole unit like a thick screwdriver. However, skip this unit over and get the 2 speed. The small extra cost is well worth the functionality of the two speed unit.

I got my circular saw as a "freebee" for buying the bandsaw. IF you do this watch out because if you buy two batteries, a charger and case you will exceed the price of the "saw kit" with all those items. My saw also did not come with the supposedly supplied wrench for blade changes. Not sure if this was an oversight or another thing you don't get with the freebee. But... what beaks my heart is that there is no storage place on the saw for the wrench. So based on previous experience it will take my guys about 2 seconds to lose the wrench. Some time ago, for corded saws, we selected Porter Cable circulars just because they had storage slot on the saw for the wrench (and come in left and right versions). We have yet to loose a wrench and blade changes are made more often and the job site is safer. After a brief use the performance of the saw seems okay. Heavier than its 18V cousins but charge does last longer. I was able to cut 14 2x8 rafter tails with 1 charge.

Recieved this drill set for xmas. I have an older in line drill driver that has served me well for quite a few years, and it is what I usually reach for on the rare occasion that I use screws. This is not a bad little unit. Not too heavy and it is comfortable to hold. Have only used it to put up a few shelves in the shop and to repair a work table. Did the job well and seems to have enough power to drive even long screws into fairly hard wood. The keyless chuck is a plus, changing from drill bit to driver is simple and quick. The case is all plastic, but is adequate to the job, holds all the parts and pieces well. This is not a tool that I was even thinking of buying, but as a gift it is a good one. Recommend it as an inexpensive drill/driver for the occasional user.

The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that this screwdriver is a bit pricey and also a bit large for a 3.6V model. But if you do a lot of electronic assembly or repair, this is the screwdriver for you. This model has a 2 speed transmission with a surprising amount of torque in low gear and fast (600 RPM) in high gear. The most important feature though is the electronic clutch. You will not strip even the most delicate screws with this screwdriver. If you are looking for an all purpose drill driver or you want something with lots of power, the DeWalt may be a better choice as it is cheaper and more powerful. But if you need a screwdriver for delicate work that is fast, fairly powerful and won't strip out small screws, this is the only choice. Normally, I say the more power the better but if you want a screwdriver with a precision clutch for delicate work, this is THE tool for you.

It's a good little charger, the lightest Panasonic currently make for their drills (important if you have to lug it far), but I'm a little disappointed that it's five minutes slower than the old EY0202B charger when charging my older NiCads.

I still yern for my old 1.2Ah 'C' battery and it's 15min charging time. Alas, they were withdrawn at the beginning of this year just before I got around to buying a new one.

I note Metabo now have a charger that will charge 1.4Ah batteries in just 11mins, and 2.0Ah batteries in just 16mins, while Panasonic's 2.0Ah 'F' battery takes 30mins with this charger. And Metabo claim their batteries will take 3000 charges to Panasonic's 1200. I think Panasonic's losing it's competitive edge.

This battery is an excellent replacement for the type "C" battery that shipped with the drill. It is a third again larger and slightly heavier than the original (which some may consider a disadvantage) but provides more torque and longer run time. Highly recommended

This drill has lasted through several years on a professional crew who specializes in hanging doors and retrofitting windows. This is a tool for a REAL professional.....and the battery pack lasts almost forever. Good to go!

I ordered this chuck to replace the one on my 1995 vintage 12v Panasonic drill. The old chuck kept jamming tight on bits and I figured it was just past it's best. It's good to have the drill back in use. The chuck seems to do the job as well as the old one, and it's a bit lighter. I hope it lasts as long, 'though with so many aluminium alloy bits instead of steel/stainless, I wonder!
