This Milwaukee 4.5" gringer is the tool for me. I just trashed a couple of nonames gringers.

Cordless Tools Review You can't beat Milwaukee quality
Milwaukee Electric tools are the best power tools available. This grinder is awesome, very comfortable to use and it has plenty of power. This is a great deal since it includes the metal case. Don't waste any time looking at the other brands, this is the cream of the crop.

Cordless Tools Review Tough and versatile
Milwaukee's tools have a great reputation for toughness and longevity. This grinder is all that and more. Its steel case is a big help in keeping the garage neat and the flexibility in choosing handle positions as well as the lock-on switch are more useful than you would initially think, allowing you to work in many more positions.

In addition to making short work of nearly anything metal, just strap on a sanding disc and have at any wood surface you please, making this a really useful tool to have.

This tool would make Tim Allen go "Oook ook ook".

Cordless Tools Review Product already used when it arrived
DO NOT buy this product from this company. I received this product this evening, opened it up out of the UPS box and immediately saw that the Milwaukee box had been opened up quite a few times. I took the Impact Wrench out of the box and it had scratches and dust all over it. This had clearly been used and I couldn't believe it. BTW, this tool does not come with a charger or battery, that cost extra.

Cordless Tools Review You gotta be kiddin me!!!!!!!
This Milwaukee 18 volt impact wrench is unreal!!!!!!

I have owned it for three months now and I have yet to find
its limmit. Tire lugg nuts are a joke evan on a 18 wheeler!
I have driven 3/4 inch by 10 inch long lag bolts with no pilot
holes, straight thru 4x6 beams into stucco and thru the wall studs no problem!!! Yes I said with no pilot holes.
And just for fun I drove a one inch by 12 inch long lag bolt into
the end of a pressure treated 4x6, with ease.

I removed a rusted 7/8 inch nut that was imposssible to do by hand. The tool is big and heavy no doubt about it but not too
big or too heavy. It does have excellent ballance and is extremley rugged. This much power in a tool does have its down
side, after removeing 4 tires and replacing them the battery is
showing signs of fatigue and after 4 of the 3/4 inch by 10 inch
lag bolts the battery is dead. (those are huge bolts)

If you do this kind of thing often your better off with a corded
impact gun. But I have found the cordless to be very handy.
If the tool stands the test of time its a huge winner!!!!!!

Cordless Tools Review Don't waste your money...
Porter Cable's 19.2 Volt line has major flaws. I bought the driver and saw kit and the hammer drill kit. In the first year I replaced the drill/drivers three times...while under warranty. The saw worked well and the flashlight was the best part of this kit. Now it is a couple years old and the batteries are dead and at $90 each I am not replacing them. I bought Hitachi this time with a five year warranty. I wasted $600 on the Porter Cable junk.

Cordless Tools Review Dynamic Duo
I've bought so called cordless tools in the past, but this combo pack is the first true cordless "tool" set I've owned. Because of the demanding nature of the renovation jobs I am currently doing to my home, I depend on and use this pair constantly. The hammer/drill/driver is the most versatile tool. It meets all my 1/2 inch or less hole drilling, screw and small hex bolt driving, and light hammer drilling needs. Never lets me down. It delivers the power and mobility for use everywhere, like in tight attics, crawl spaces, on roofs, and outdoors away from power outlets. The Tiger saw has power and versatility, too, cutting literally anything and everything using the proper blade. I use it to cut framing and plywood, siding, drywall, sheet metal, old tires, plastic and metal pipe, bricks. The PorterCable drywall blades work especially well on PVC pipe. The saw is even good for cutting tree limbs. And both tools can go absolutely ANYWHERE !! Make sure to buy yourself a third battery and keep one on the charger at all times, then you'll never want for power. The batteries charge in about 45 minutes. One point about the saw; if you use it on a material, like sheetmetal, or in a tight place where the blade can catch or hit its end on something solid, the saw can jamb, and you must manually pull the blade forward a bit and run it briefly before returning to cutting. A minor inconvenience. To sum up, I could not have chosen a better cordless combo, especially with my aspirations to do professional contract work someday. Look for more of my reviews of PorterCable power tools and the 19.2V Network cordless system.

Cordless Tools Review "CORDED POWER"
THIS HAMMER DRILL AND RECIP SAW OFFER GREAT CORDLESS POWER. I JUST USED THE DRILL TO MAKE THIRTY FIVE 1/4' HOLES IN BRICK/CONCRETE ON A SINGLE CHARGE, AND I USED THE RECIP SAW TO CLEAR A 75' HONEYSUCKLE HEDGE. BOTH EXCEDED EXPECTATIONS.

Cordless Tools Review HEAVY-duty but No Clutch
This is not your "everyday" drill. It is heavy and doesn't have a clutch. But, when you need the kind of power that exceeds most corded drills, this is it. Hammerdrills through concrete like butter. The carbide-jawed chuck is a dream. My old 1/2" drill spun large bits all the time. Luckily, DeWalt is starting to use this chuck on its 18V and 14.4V hammerdrills, too. This newer version has two batteries which is good because the batteries don't last any longer than your average NiCd.

Cordless Tools Review no need for cords, unless you want them
I have the entire 24V kit, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I like the AC/DC converter feature, so that when the uncommon dead battery situation happens, you're not left without power. DeWalt: How about a 24V jig saw, plate jointer, miter saw and handheld planer? I'll buy them whenever they come out.

The only downfall is this drill is a bit heavy for everyday use. I have a 12V DeWalt for lighter needs, but I wouldn't trade this drill for anything.

Cordless Tools Review DEWALT BATTERY
I am dissappointed in the relatively short life of this rechargeable battery. I'm hoping the one I just purchased will last longer.

Cordless Tools Review Good service from my Dewalt batteries
I have been using my Dewalt 7.2 volt screwdriver/drill kit for well over two years now both at home and on my job for light duties. It's size, weight, and configuration are great for small jobs, and I am still using my two original batteries after all this time though they are reaching the point I need to replace them now. The replacements are very reasonable in terms of cost, equivalent to Ryobi battery costs.

Cordless Tools Review Pale by comparison
I am a General Contracter in MD. I've owned several Dewalt drills. One old 12v was left on the driveway and run over by a Chevy Suburban and still runs beautifully. However the 18v is the opposite. We have gone through two batterys and was told at the dewalt center they wear out faster. At 14 months the clutch failed and I was told when replacing the clutch the chuck had to be replaced as well. The tool has cost me 250.00 excluding the purchase price. Using several drills on the jobsite the Big Panasonic eats the competition for lunch. The battery lasts 3 to 4 times as long. Better balance. Better tool.

Cordless Tools Review the best
Having done commercial AC for 2 years, this drill proved invaluable. Having used last year's equivalant Dewalt has improved greatly on a tried and true design. The 3 speed is useful as is now 3 batteries can be stored in the case(1 in the drill). The pistol grip is more useful than a T-grip as it applies in-line pressure. The workmanship was flawless as is the new 1/2 chuck. the new chuck with carbide teeth really does as promised and holds bits much better. The only downfall is the battery clip. Though never having a battery fall off it still seems a to loose for comfort. A tip:paint the battery and drill and off color. That's why I bought a new one, someone envied my old Dewalt more than I did.

Cordless Tools Review Worth the money
In my job, sheetmetal mechanic portability and durability are two of the most important factors dealing with hand tools. The 3/8 and 1/2 inch porter cable drill meets those demands. With the dual gear switch you can adjust the speed and with the torque adjustment you can ensure to eb on the safe side when using the drill motor as a driver for screws or bolts 5/16 up to 1/2" I would recomend the 1/2 drive for larger bolts. Whether I'm on the ladder or a scissor jack I have enough other tools in my pouch so dragging cords chuck keys etc makes my job more hassle. The portability of this item is great,as for the flashlight now talking about brightness it will definately give you some serious light as well with its rotary head making it hands free it will stay on most horizontal surfaces or if needed upsidedown it may be secured with a small rope thereby allowing to have the light over your shoulder and rotate the head as required. Battery charges in a resonable time allowing for continuous use have one on the charger and oprating with one. The draw back I've found is the keyless chuck ensure chuck is tight or it will cause the dill bit or driver to stop while penetrating the material being drilled a regular key chuck would ensure proper tightness without jaw damage and a satisfied user Bothe portability and durability are highly accented byt eh sturdy case housing the dill light charger and battery. Sap it lock its less the weight of a tool box and it may be maintained in limited sopace such as a gan box taking up very little space as well protecting it from the enviroment dirt grease etc. Good choise

Cordless Tools Review Makita 6095DWLE vs. Ryobi 12v
I agree the Makita is a good unit and easy to handle and use. The flashlight is excellent quality and the closeout price is awesome. The light weight is also easy on arms when working overhead all day. The only complaint I have is battery charge life. During a recent large duct work installation, employees using the Makita 9v were constantly changing batteries and even having to wait on the charger while I drilled into floor joists all day using an old Ryobi 12v on a single charge. If you need a drill for infrequent home use, this one would be perfect.

Cordless Tools Review Construction Workers Preference
The 9.6 Makita cordless drill was selected as the drill of choice in the construction company I worked for. It was my job to buy tools for the guys. At one point we had several different models of drills going at once. In an effort to standardize our tool stock I took a formal poll among the men and they choose the Makita. Factors were; comfort of use, convenient speed control locations, & durability. Most found the 9.6V sufficient for the majority of tasks. If there was a need for more power, a plug in drill is preferred rather than a heavier battery.

Cordless Tools Review NiCads - they still make these?
NiCad batteries have had their day in the sun - it's sunset now. Not only do they have memory, their power output and charging speed is inferior to later battery technologies, and when they die and get tossed they are a heavy-metal hazard to the environment. We've moved beyond these things, high time to stop making them. I bought this one because I could not find a NiMH replacement for my 12-V Makita drill. I tried, believe me. AT (...) bucks a pop they're no bargain, either.

Cordless Tools Review Would be a 5 star item . . . or maybe will be . . .
when I find a saw blade that gives me the quality cut I want without kicking back on everything. I bough a Freud anti-kickback and it's the worst of the bunch I've tried. I think maybe it's got something to do with the low rpm's. I'm wondering if the teeth on today's high quality saw blades aren't ground for higher speed saws.

I didn't actually buy this saw, although I was considering it. However, I ran across the same saw in the 18V. version on sale at [local store]... So I bought the low horse version. So far, because it came with two batteries, I have absolutely no complaints with power or battery life As far as I can tell, the only difference between the two is battery voltage. So, only advantage to paying all those extra bucks would be a few more minutes of usage between charges, most likely. I can live with what I've got.

I wanted a high-quality lightweight saw that I could move from small job to small job easier than my Dewalt 706. This saw fills the bill. It's high quality and very accurate right out of the box. Lineup was dead on. After checking alignment, all I had to do was charge the batteries and go to work.

Only complaint I have is that I haven't been able to find a blade that I like (Blade that came with it is the best I've found), and Makita dealers aren't very good about stocking accessories either locally or on-line. Kinda makes me wonder what I'm going to run into if and when I need service.

Cordless Tools Review Not bad for a Makita
I fell in love with this saw from the beginning and even more so with use. However, I knew from the get go that this was not my DW708. Keeping this in mind, this saw is quite wonderful for doing small trim jobs, punch work, etc. Feed rate must be kept relatively slow because of rpm and tooth count of the blade, but the cut quality is superb and the slide is legendary Makita smooth. My praise for this tool does not come lightly, as my truck is filled with black and yellow, and this saw is the only teal thing on it!
