Hitachi 12V drill and light were crap.Drill was broken at handle and light would not work. If not for the charger in good condition and both batteries in good shape, this could have been a 0.

Non heavy-duty, non-reconditionedI thought I was getting a bargain here -- a genuine factory-reconditioned DeWalt Trim Saw for only $145, free shipping! Unfortunately, I was disappointed with DeWalt twice!
1) The "reconditioning" must have been little more than taking a quick look at the saw, because it did not work, and anyone at the factory should have seen this. When I got the saw, I charged up the battery, put the blade on, and then put the pack in. When I pulled the trigger... NOTHING. I fiddled around with it and eventually after slapping the battery pack in firmly must have jolted something because the saw would come on and off intermittently while holding the trigger. Ridiculous.
2) Even if the saw worked properly, it was not (in my opinion) a DeWalt quality product. The blade guard was flimsy plastic, the base plate was thin and flimsy metal. There was no rubber grip on the handle. The trigger lock design was awkward. Compare that to my 14.4 DeWalt driver/drill and it looks like two completely different product lines. Maybe nowadays the 14.4 line is the 'cheap' line -- but when I bought my 14.4 drill, it was the top of the line, and everything about the DeWalt Drill says quality, durability, and functionality. I have since seen the 18v version of the trim saw, and while it seems a little better all-around, I'm still not floored by it. Take a look at DeWalt's 18v jig saw -- THAT is what I wanted.
I wanted a lightweight cordless circular saw, but DeWalt let me down. I settled for a Ryobi 18v 5" saw. Nice and lightweight, powerful enough for me (plywood jobs, etc.), laser line, but a little flimsy on the base plate. Price $50 plus battery + charger $40 -- total $90!!! I consider this my 'temporary saw' until DeWalt or Milwaukee or somebody makes my dream saw. Until then, I'm very happy with the Ryobi.

HDC 18 Volt Cordless Drill/Driver Kit with BatteryMy shipment of this item left me in doubt of the positive feedback someone wrote for this drill. Not only did this drill look a bit previously used but my 9.6 volt has more power then this HDC 18 Volt. I can hold the end of the HDC 18 volt drill and keep it from spinning even with a fully charged battery. If all these drills are like this, my advise is ...don't do it. I contacted the seller he said he would (in my case) send a return postage paid label and full refund. To date I have not received it. The old standard seems to be true in this case, if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't what you want.

makita 18 volt sawsallI got this tool to be able to go and make a few cuts without having to get my electric one and set up but it isn't really all that helpful because it had very little power to cut through 2x material. I had a fully charged battery and cut one 2x6 door plate out trimmed the end of a 2x10 that was a little long and cut the last little bit (approx. 1 1/2" sqaure) of a 6 x 6 that was left after cutting around it with my skilsaw and the battery was dead plus it had very little power for making any of the cuts even when I first made my cuts.

No batteryThe drill itself feels terrific. Heavy construction, tight tolerances, everything you could want. But what the Amazon page doesn't tell you is that it doesn't include a battery. Suddenly that great savings is not so great. Fully outfitted this will cost you closer to $400.

Where's the Juice!Be careful when you order this saw item 073022 because it comes without a battery and charger. This is the first time I have ever ordered a cordless power tool that comes without the stuff to make it run. Fred Owings

MILWAUKEE + OUTSOURCING = P.O.S PRODUCT LINE !!!I am a contractor and have always seen Milwaukee tools as the "Holy Grail" of all tool manufacturers. Several years ago Milwaukee prided its tools for being MADE IN THE USA, but times have definitely changed. The Drill in this kit is made in the CZECH REPUBLIC, the flashlight is made in CHINA, the battery charger is made in CHINA, and the batteries are made in MEXICO...BUT the cardboard carton is "printed in the USA"...Let's don't discount that fact! At least hard working Americans get a little piece of the Milwaukee pie.
We have always used Milwaukee tools in the past. They've lasted so long that we're just now replacing some of them. Their Sawz-All was the best in the industry several years ago (I'm not sure that is still true since they are now being made overseas today). We've used they're circular saws in the past and they were great. They're hammer drills packed a lot of punch and had a lot of torque. But, recently we purchased three of these Milwaukee drill kits to replace some PORTER CABLE 14.4 volts that have been nothing short of amazing. Based on the Milwaukee tools that we've bought in the past, I figured the quality of these Milwaukee drills would be just as good as their other tools. THEY'RE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!! The plastic housing on these drills feel so cheap and fragile. The holders for the extra bits are steel and mounted on the side of the drill.....if you bump the sides into any finished surface it will scratch the surface. Worst of all, the first day we used them, one of the drills chuck/shaft assembly flew apart...ball bearings went everywhere! This happened after about driving only 50 or so screws! The other two drills seemed to work alright, but they made funny clicking noises (this was not the same noise that is made when the clutch slips) when doing anything that required a medium amount of torque...like driving 3 inch screws into soft pine.
After inspecting the build of these drills, and after seeing one of them fall apart on the first day of use, we decided to get our money refunded on all of them. The Porter Cable 14.4 volts that we used in the past done such a great job for us and lasted so long that we've decided to go back to that tool. The Porter Cables have a heck of a lot more torque than these anyway....they're a little bit heavier but based on their track record with us, they're worth their weight in gold!
It really is a shame that American tool companies are outsourcing their tool production to other countries. Even Porter Cable is building their tools in Taiwan now. DeWalt is producing their tools in Mexico. Bosch is making their tools in Mexico and Czech Republic. Hitachi is being made in China.
If there were still a company making their power tools in America I would pay a higher price for their tools as opposed to buying the cheaper, foreign-made counterparts. As for this drill...stay away from it. You'll regret it! It's cheap made and won't last! Look at Porter Cable instead. I'm happy with them (would be happier if they'd start making them in America again!)

Buyer beware.....Bought model KXTG5423M six weeks ago. I thought it was an exceptionally nice phone set. Then the keypad on one handset failed. I took out the third unused handset & charger, and it was defective (dead LCD screen, new, out of the box!)! Then, to add insult to injury, Panasonic told me that they have to replace the FULL system - not just the individual failed part, as I had assumed. AND it would be replaced w a "refurbished" system, NOT a new system. And I would have to pay shipping to Panasonic...
So, beware - buy an "expandable" phone system, or be prepared to buy a completely new system if you have any problems after the one year warranty period. I used to think very highly of Panasonic. Given the newness of this product, it would have been worth Panasonic's effort, to have immediately shipped me a NEW system, with a pick-up ticket for the defective system - they would have kept a loyal customer...

WEAK BATTERYI guess the old addage it true --You get what you pay for -- If this were a local purchase I would ask for my money back .....this battery loses it`s charge right away ... I feel it was a reclaimed item that didn`t respond to it`s rehab treatment -- I have left it on extensive charge and it still poops-out during the first usage .... I would not even give this a single star if there was any other choice
