Drills Review This is a true screw gun
A relative came over to help me install drywall in my basement and brought his Dewalt screw gun. After seeing him run through a box of screws I realized it was pointless for me to try to keep up with my drill and bit attachment. It was more efficient for me to measure and cut pieces and let him take care of the fasteners. I was fascinated at how he would keep the screw gun running with one hand and bring up screws from his apron with the other. Once he got going, his rate was one screw every one-two seconds. Jeff had to leave after a couple of hours but left the Dewalt for me. It was then that I learned the features that allowed for this lightning fast drywall installation.

When the trigger is depressed, the motor runs, but the tip does not turn until it is also pressed against the work surface. The motor runs at much higher RPM's than my drill resulting in the 1-5/8" screws disappearing into the drywall in a blink. The depth adjustment disengages the clutch at your predetermined setting resulting in perfectly placed screws every time. The drywall paper was perfectly dimpled, without breaking, at every screw. I also found that longer 3" screws installed through joists just as quickly and easily.

It turns out Jeff let me keep his "old" Dewalt because he had a few that he uses for work. I can't wait to use it on my upcoming deck project.

Drills Review Much better than a drill with a bit attachment.
With the built in clutch mechanism, there is no chance of stripping or twisting off the head off a screw. Simply set the depth adjustment, drive the screw, and wait for the clutch to engage. The screw will always be the perfect depth, every time. I was building a deck with someone else using a drill and was able to drive a good 25% more screws in the same amount of time since I didn't have to worry about depth and torque. Be sure and pick this one as it's the only one that comes with a case. You just can't go wrong with a good case -- you'll never loose the other head attachments.

Drills Review Very useful for anything you want to drive
I had a chance to use this screwdriver this past weekend and found to have plenty of power to put drywall up and to put in deck screws through redwood decking it worked great. the set and forget nosepiece was handy. i can't say enough about this dewalt we own many dewalt and other brand tools and this dewalt does not let us down.

Drills Review Professional 's Choice
If you're going to pound nails all day go by a wooden handled tool and save your wrist and elbow from absorbing the vibrations this tool will deliver to your arm but for the professional this is a well made tool. A Professional drywaller screws the drywall on the wall but they overwhelmingly choose this the Estwing hammer because of its versatility as a pry bar and the occasional hammer and hatchet. The 14 oz. Estwing has weight, leverage and balance that just feels right in your hand. Besides a wooden handeled tool would not take the prying abuse these hammers are exposed to on the job.

Drills Review So tough it lasts forever
The Estwing hammers are built tough, they last for decades. My drywall hammer was purchased more than 20 years ago and is still as good as new. I don't do drywall every day, only for my own appartment repairs, but if you have to do the job you need the best tools. It's balanced about right, the blade is tough for chopping stuff out of the way, and the face has just the right dimples.

Drills Review Best hammer ever.
The Estwing is the best hammer that money can buy. It is a little more expensive than most, but the quality is second to none. This hammer will give you many years of good service.

Drills Review NOTHING IS FREE
THE FIRST TIME YOU NEED TO DRILL AT AN ANGLE YOU WILL BE GLADE THIS IS YOUR DRILL PRESS. NO TOOLS NEEDED TO TILT TABLE AND THERE ARE PRE SET ANGLE STOPS.
JUNE 2, 2006 - AFTER THREE MONTHS OF USING THIS DRILL I WOULD ONLY GIVE IT THREE OR FOUR STARS. THE CHUCK IS NOT THE BEST AND THE HANDLES ARE TO LONG.
THE FREE STUFF IS JUNK!

Drills Review Good value for the price
The Fisch 17-1/2 drill press is certainly a quality machine for the money. Some nice features such as the tilt bed and easy-to-use levers are handy. Factory people are very friendly if you need assistance--which you probably won't. Having an attached light would be a nice improvement. The machine is made in China but the competitors are too. All-in-all this is a good machine that I'm happy to have in my shop.

Drills Review Kliss Cabinets
We are a professional cabinet shop specializing in high end work that demands high end tools. I shopped the Jet and Delta along with the Fisch drill press. We chose the Fisch because the table has a nicer tilting mechanism (you don't need to get out a wrench out..that you cant find, tap,tap with a hammer and so on). The Fisch has a lever that works nicely to adjust the fully tilting table smoothly. No light though..(if that is important to you, stick one on yourself) The fit an finish is slightly less quality than Jet and Delta(crooked stickers, minor cosmetic stuff). The up/down table gear mechanism is a little rough but I believe it will "break in" meaning round off the gears and smooth out. Incedently the free hold down clamp is free for a reason...nicely made but is doesn't really have any clamping power. All things considered I am glad I chose the Fisch over the others. Overall solid machine that performs well. Jet, Delta,Fisch..they're all made in China.

Drills Review Very satisified
Just bought a house where the previous owner was an "electrician wanna be" and had to correct a number of errors. Plugged it in, and it worked great everytime. Recommended.

Drills Review Mine is broken
The package says this item is warrantied for one year, but I can't figure out how to contact the G B Instruments Co, 800 phone number or email. Can you help. I just bought the item at K-Mart and it is intermittently not working. I am am an electrical engineer and we have several of these in the office. All the others work great.

Drills Review Necessary addition to the tool box
How much easier could it be? Just plug it into the the outlet. No possibility for human error or misinterpretation. If you do any kind of electrical work, whether new wiring or just replacing existing outlets, this little tester is the quickest, easiest tool for making sure the wiring is done properly at each outlet.

Drills Review wonderful tool !!!!!
This tool has saved me many times!! I have discovered that my lights in my living room are on TWO DIFFERENT circuits even though there is only one switch for them both. I turned the breaker off for the lights and one of the light sockets still had power going to it! I would have been shocked for sure without the Circuit Alert!! It is SO helpful because you don't have to actually touch the live circuit to test it, you only have to touch the wire, light switch or even the light socket and it will tell you if there is power going there. If you do any electrical work, it is a good tool to have on hand!!

Drills Review A good product
This thing works and is really handy to have. I really appreciate its buzzing before I get "buzzed." Now I can be sure that the juice is off before I go working on the electrics.

Drills Review Worthwhile Gadget
This non-contact tester is well worth buying, especially if you do any home rewiring or otherwise poking around inside walls containing wiring. It will detect active current in lines, sometimes from 2 or 3 inches away. No more guessing if you turned off the right circut. This tool lets you check and know for sure whether or not a wire is hot. Thanks, Amazon!

Drills Review Indispensable Tool!
This rule is one of the first tools that I pull out anytime I work on a project requiring short, exact measuring. I use it as a depth gauge for setting up router dados and rabbets with the aid of the pocket clip. I also use it as a height gauge for my table saw blade, or to measure the bit adjustment on my router table. It is great for the measurement of exact board widths in the setup of the fence on my table saw. I've used it to mark cuts on ceramic tiles, and so many other uses that I don't have time to itemize. Because it is so thin and featherweight, it is much easier to use than my Combination Square for short measurements. It sure beats a tape measure for accuracy by a long shot. I also bought a second one so it would be handy just in case I misplaced one.

Drills Review price
this is a must for the woodworker, I think it sells at menards for about $1.25

Drills Review Couldn't live without it!
This rule is stored in my pocket whenever I'm doing any wood or metal work. I have owned it for over 15 years and to this day, use it so religiously that a holster would not be uncalled for. It is exceptionally easy to read with astounding precision and includes a handy decimal equivalent chart on the back. I lost the clip long ago and don't miss it - not very pocket friendly. Although very flexible, it's thin edge makes it extremely useful as a straightedge when aligning components. When woodworking, it serves as a light duty scraper for fine-tuning joinery or cleaning glue joints. I have a beautiful 12" Mitutoyo rigid rule that I also like, but it's this that goes everywhere with me. I am so dependant on this rule that I sought out replacement availability in anticipation of the tragic day in which I finally misplace it. When I found it here on Amazon, I was shocked at its ridiculously low price and simply had to voice my praise.

Drills Review Unstoppable
Unbelievable power!! Brought this little driver along for a big family project which required putting 4 inch screws through 4x4's and 2x6's. My in-laws were ridiculing the compact size of the driver wondering why I hadn't bought a 18V DeWalt, like they all had. I immediatly turned their smiles upside down when I drove a 4 inch screw halfway through a 4x4, and halfway into another 4x4. The only thing that stopped the driver from driving the screw all the way through was that I hadn't put a long enough bit on the end of the driver. This thing is seriously powerful and the batteries last surprising long for a tool that is driver and pounding at the same time. Surprisingly, the tip never slipped out of the screw, and it never slipped, just don't buy cheap screws. Also, don't be surprise if this tool is louder than your screwguns due to the hammer action of the tool, sort of has a machine gun sound to it. However, I doubt that the extra noise will dampen the smile on your face as you pound screws through wood, or if you can find a tough enough screw, through concrete.

Drills Review beats the makita's all day long
this little tool is bad-A**. small and light enough to carry all day. powerful enough to run in 8 inch deck screws without slowing down. buy this one.

Drills Review Simply Awesome!!!
I'm in the military and stationed in Okinawa, Japan. When I first arrived in the Vertical Repair carpenter shop the local nationals were using these drills. I thought they were toys by the look of them... especially after using DeWalt 14.4's at my last base. When I got my hands on this impact driver, I was astounded! The power this tool has is amazing, and I have had no problem with it at all. This will be my first purchase when it comes to a cordless drill due to the durability, and construction of it. The fast charge time is also a plus as well, especially after a hard days use on the job. I give this impact driver a 5 star rating, but would easily give it 6 if Amazon allowed it!

Drills Review Johnson Tools are Innovative and Quality and made in the USA
Once I got the "Big Johnson" tape measure from a local hardware store a few years ago, I was impressed. Since, I've purchased about 7 of their tools through Amazon and have been happy for the value and quality of the tools. Through, "buy both and save now" you can get great deals and I picked up this handy little square. It's small enough that it fits in my tote, which was my concern and it even has a special coating on the ruler portion which makes it resilient to rust and corrosion. Great value for the 7.99 I paid.

Drills Review Well made
Needed a square to replace a couple that were broken. Impressed by the solid metal construction.

Drills Review Nice little tool
Nice quality tool, no problems here, great solid quality.

-A nice extra bonus was a little metal scriber with a threaded brass knob...

Drills Review Simple and reliable houshold tool.
These 2 nice levels deserve 5 stars, BUT the 16" level's one side is interrupted in the middle with the bubble thing which means that you can use only another side to draw a line. Actually I loved the 16" one - was perfect for shelves brackets aligning in my 21 x 21 inches pantry.

Drills Review Very nice levels!
Great improvement over my venerable old aluminum level, which has served me well, but isn't near the quality of these. The 48" level is very sturdy, which means it'll stand up to my standard practice of leaning it somewhere and then invariably knocking it over. And it has nice shock-absorbing rubber things on the ends. The small one is almost as well built. I'll agree with the other reviewers: the big black sticker on the small level is stuck on there pretty well and requires some time and naptha to get off.

Drills Review Excellent Quality, super good buy.
If you or anyone you know is looking for excellent quality levels at a very good price, the Johnson levels cannot be beat. I was shocked at how good the quality of these levels are for the money.

Drills Review Brilliant Tool, an Absolute Must Buy for Any Woodworker
The greatest inventions are alwsys the simple ones. This tool does a better job at $25 than expensive mortise and tenon makers costing hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars. The basic idea is brilliant and works great. Just be sure to really clamp the jig down hard.

The only improvement that I can imagine is a way to clamp the jig on varied pieces. For 3/4" stock the current setup can't be beat. To use it on other thicknesses is not as simple and easy.

This thing just flat out works.

Drills Review Here's help for the tenon challenged
Four legs with twenty-four mortises. That's my count on the Mission buffet I'm building. To complete this project in a reasonable amount of time, the BeadLOCK Kit has been a timesaver. After only one practice cut, I went to work. Excellent results when you follow the instructions. Suggest users not clamp the tool using the Irvin-style squeeze clamps. Not strong enough and the drill guide can and will move. C-clamp or a vise is recommended to prevent massive headaches. Prices vary so shop for the best deal. Simple idea that really does work as advertised.

Drills Review major breakthrough
I have used a variety of different mortaise and tenon cutters and systems including chain mortisers, mortaiseur a bedan in France that cost $40,000, and mortaise cutters on drill presses. This is the best and simplest system I have ever seen for cutting and placing floating tenons. From the first joint I made that only took five minutes the joint was tight and straight. It is absolutely the most accurate mortaise and tenon system I have ever seen and also the fastest. I encourage all woodworkers to try this system as it is a major breakthrough tool.
