I bought this drill from Amazon in 2004. It was after hurricanes Frances and Jean slammed South Florida. I had a 1/2" DeWalt hammer drill, but I gave it to my son so he could install shutters on his house.

Anyhow, I have found this drill to be exceptional. I recently switched from plywood shutters to aluminum panels for hurricane protection. I used the Bosch drill for all the Tapcon holes. Zero problems. The depth gauge works flawlessly, and the drill has more than ample power. It has nice balance and the removable chuck key is really heavy duty. The case is sturdy and the drill and all accessories fit nicely into it.

Having used both DeWalt and Bosch hammer drills, I have no doubt Bosch is the way to go.

Since I recieved this Combo kit on the 23rd of September, I haven't stopped using these outstanding tools. I am still in shock that this tool set can be touched for even near this price. I'll never go back to corded tools again and my friends that spent more on Dewalt are green with envy.

I also have a Milwaukee close quater drill. This one is a lot more robust in construction. It also has a metal encased gearbox, which should be very druable. The on/off switch could be a little easier to operate, but I think Bosch designed it this way with safety in mind. Overall, a quality product.

As is to be expected from BOSCH Manufacturing, their accessory products do not disappoint. Take your pick. One laborer with a cold chisel and lump hammer spending anywhere from 2 to 4 hours making a less than perfect hole in a solid concrete foundation wall, or 15 minutes with this bit at the end of an SDS-MAX Rotary Hammer drill. A perfect bore in a fraction of the time. These are tough bits to beat.

I knew Bosch made quality tools and router bits so I thought I'd try the Blue Granite set. I've only used the 2 largest bits in the set, but they performed great...never slowed down through concrete and rock.

Having owned many spades in my life I can safely say this one is the greyest one that I've had. Usually I go for the green ones, but this one goes really well with my new Widescreen TV. Other than the colour being really nice I found the spade action on this baby really satisfying. Digging holes with this beauty really is a sensual experience. If your in any doubt buy it. Well I liked it.

I use this accessory with drill bits for wood/metal and those arrow shaped tile bits in rotation only mode.

You can hammerdrill with this 3 jaw chuck, for example the bits that come with the blue Tapcon screws, but I prefer sds bits with the 5/16" hex shank for drive sleeves, it is faster to use and a much stronger grip on the drill bit.

My 3 jaw sds chuck did not come with a manual but I figured out that if you pull the collar down and to the left you can quickly and quietly adust the jaws, I dont know what that is about but Bosch has put it so there must be a reason.

I turn my Bosch Bulldog into a drill when I play the uncharged cordless battery game. Sometimes its even handy to use alongside the cordless drill driver.

I had to get used to the rubber boot over the jaws, but really you just push the drill bit through the rubber boot and tighten with the chuck key (all 3 holes for a good grip)

I just learned that SDS means slotted drive system.

I was given s set of Bosch Bradpoint drillbits as a freebie when I bought I bought a corded Bosch hammerdrill (around 1995.) They've kept their edge quite nicely as I've used them sparingly over the years.

This is with out a doubt the best tool bag that an electrician can own!!!! Tools are all stored on the inside providing ultimate security. Every tool has its own place, and anything that is missing is quickly identified. The removable tool board can be put in any location. The large compartment holds all my misc. plus the shoulder strap is comfortable. The handles do not dig into your hands when the bag is being carried. The extra pouch is a priceless companion. I recentlly lost mine to a fire, and am begging Bucket Boss Inc. to bring it back. My tools were so organized I could reach without looking. I was able to get more work done, because I could carry all my tools to my work area, and not have to go back to a tool chest or gang box. Plus it's soft sides do not scratch any customers furnishings or my vehicle and this also makes it very very quite. DO NOT DISCONTINUE- DO NOT DISCONTINUE- DO NOT DISCONTINUE

This is not a particularly powerful drill (I would not attempt installing tapcons with it), but there are times when power - even with variable speed drills - works against you.

I like the convenient features, especially the magnetic tray and the small size of this tool. It is perfect for getting into tight areas, and for installing small items, such as under-the-counter kitchen lights.

The primary reason I purchased this drill was I wanted a low torque, highly portable drill to use in conjunction with my Evans Drum Key Pack (ASIN B0002M3BKC) to change drum heads without worrying about ruining my lugs (drums are expensive and I just could not trust a more heavy-duty drill). It does what I bought it for perfectly, but I also find myself grabbing it anytime I need to drill a hole or tighten a screw using screwdriver bits I purchased seperately. This is a great household tool - I have one in my drum kit bag, and another in one of my kitchen drawers ready to use at a moment's notice.
