An excellent drillThis drill has everything going for it. The fit and finish are excellent. It has very little runout, and Campbell Hausfeld didn't scrimp on the chuck; it's a Jacobs. I love the compact size and contoured grip; this drill feels like an extension of my hand. It's very good for drilling in tight places.
Here's a couple of tips...
Like most air drills, this one doesn't have variable speed, so you need to be ready when you hit the trigger.
For continuous or heavy use, It's a good idea to use an in-line or stationary oiler. And flood the drill with oil before you use it for the first time. I poured a teaspoon into the inlet as Campbell Hausfeld recommends.

What is there really to say? They are Channellocks. The do what they are supposed to do better than any other brand of tounge and groove pliers.
Just a great ToolAs a Union Electrician, Ive used many Types of "Slip Joint Pliers", and Channellock 440s are always appropriate for any Gripping Job You have, Big Or Small. Excellent Locking Power allows you to hold even if you lose your grip on the tool.Theres a reason why Channel lock is the trade name for the tool, regardless of brand.

My First Cordless DrillI have no idea how this unit will actually perform under real working conditions, since I just got it last night. The truth is, I won it in a raffle!
But I have over 30 years' experience working with all sorts of power tools, so I can say this drill looks like it will deliver. It appears to be very well made. Offhand, it looks indestructible, unless you dropped it 15 feet onto a concrete slab.
The controls are simple and very positive, i.e., you get a big "click" each time you move the switches for forward or reverse or high-speed, low-speed operation. You can probably run this tool wearing gloves with no problems.
A couple cool features: 1) The Jacobs Keyless Chuck is handy. I assume it will hold a bit just fine with only hand tightening; 2) There is a torque control feature that is set by simply rotating a barrel-like dial on the front of the unit. I have never used such a thing, but it seems like a good idea if you have ever countersunk a screw unintentionally or snapped the head off one. The torque control combined with the variable speed trigger should give you plenty of fine adjustment; 3) The unit has a built-in clutch mechanism when the maximum preset torque is reached. This clutch mechanism seems directly connected to the barrel dial for setting the torque. When you hit the maximum preset torque, the clutch slips, and the unit just chatters.
The sad thing is that I just finished siding my house last summer. I have no idea how many pilot holes I drilled and how many screws I drove. This cordless unit would have come in handy when working on a ladder.
[Note: If any of this review sounds dumb, remember I said this is my first cordless drill. I gave this drill five stars merely based on a visual inspection and a few holes I drilled into some pine. But it was a pine log for firewood, and the drill did rotate the entire log when the bit bottomed out!]

Well made, heavy duty, great designI recently discovered the Cooper WoodChuck. It had a nice 'heft' for a small rasp, looked tough and capable, and I liked the integrated chisel tip. I purchased the 1/2" to try on a decoy I am making. Although smaller and shorter than a normal rasp, it is extremely rugged -- the end of the handle is capped with a metal striking surface for use with a mallet when used as a chisel. The rasp is less aggressive than other rasps, but for more delicate wood removal when modeling or carving, it is ideal. The WoodChuck is an innovative design, very well made and reasonably priced -- I was so impressed I purchased the entire set! I highly recommend the WoodChuck.

Upgrading My Delta X5 V-Speed DrillThis chuck should be standard equipment on this drill. I don't have any problem with bit slippage as I did with the standard chuck. Although the chuck is a little too big for the mortis attachment I still gave it 5 stars.
Pros:
- For low air-volume applications, or when you need decent pressure for a short while, it works just fine. It's purpose is to have compressed air on a small job (or tire-filling), where there is no electricity.
Cons:
- After filling the tank (125 psi to 175 psi, depending on your air compressor), pressure will quickly drop below 80 psi once you start using it. So, this tank is only practical for air tool use of very short duration - e.g., an air ratchet wrench to remove a handful of bolts/nuts. Air tools just don't work [well] with insufficient pressure. In fact, with 11 gallons of pressurized air, this tank is only useful for small air-volume applications, regardless of pressure needed. Of course, the tank can be refilled as needed, but that gets tiresome.
With no electricity nearby, options include: this tank, a long extension cord, or a long air hose. Otherwise, any air compressor would be a better choice, since air volume at pressure, will be unlimited. (Of course, the cheapest tank air compressors cost around $100.)
