Drills Review Be careful of the reconditioned drill
I bought this drill last April, and used it few times, and then it stopped working last week. I was a bit surprise it broke so soon. Took it to the DeWalt service center for repair. After it was examined, I was asked where I bought. I told them it was from Amazon. And then I was told they have found inside parts that were broken and cheap, and not genuine DeWalt parts. They suspected someone just simply rebuilt the drill with cheap parts. Anyway, they fixed the drill for me. So be warned.

Drills Review Kit doesn't mean Bits
I am very pleased with the quality of the drill. I was disappointed when I opened the box, because I had assumed that a kit would also include the bits. A short walk to home depot, and $18 fixed my problem, and it's still a great bargain even when you add the price for the bits.

Drills Review Great drill for price
I am usually suspect about reconditioned tools, but this tool looks exactly like the brand new model I bought my brother for Christmas, and the performance is identical. A great drill for the price with a case included.

Drills Review Great vacuum cleaner!!
I just received my Bissell Lift Off last week, and I am already in love. The motor is so powerful on this vaccuum cleaner, that it literally does the vacuuming for me. I have two cats that shed like crazy, and this vacuum picked up so much hair that I didn't know was embedded into my furniture and carpet. I love this vacuum, and I will recommend it to all my friends.

Drills Review Super Value, Great Design
An upgrade to my last Bissell (Cleanview Deluxe),this one is even better....was ONSALE for $160, and well worth it.
Removeable canister capability is easy and makes this vac so much more versitile...such as taking out to your car or for carpeted steps. I really love the user friendly design of these Bissell vacs....never complex, and I don't feel I need a manual to understand or operate.
Super suction...and the brushes are so powerful, it almost feels self propelled as you push forward.
The 'telescoping' function of the extension wand was a nice upgrade, although it does takes a little time getting used to it...also the new dual-headed brush tool is an inovative idea i like.
Another really nice upgrade is the on/off brush power button...and the vac is now smart, even when brushes are powered ON, they wont rotate till you step on the release pedal AND pull the handle down towards you.
I also noticed you can now pull the handle down literally to the FLOOR without the front of the vac lifting up...this means being able to roll further under couches/tight spots.

If I had to give CONS :

1) There are 3 filters...1 HEPA and 2 foam...the foam filters in particular should be cleaned once a month,as directed..but I check even more often (due to high traffic/pets)... They can get pretty dirty relatively fast, and although u may not notice any loss of suction,I assume cleaning these filters often will always improve performance...... Its not hard to do, they are basically foam sponges u can rinse clean, and they dry pretty quick.

2) The vac when all together as 1 unit, is pretty heavy. Doesnt bother me, but may be an issue to some. My wife immediately noticed the weight... The canaster vac, when separated, is easy to carry with its handle, but some may still find even this a little heavy as well.
In my opinion, the weight is due to good construction and a strong motor. I think its worth it.

3) Seems like a lot of new vacs come with some form or version of a 'turbo brush' attachment. I'm not a fan of these...the brushes are SUCTION driven, NOT motor driven. Its a gimmick tool.. I prefer the simple NON turbo brush tool that come with this vac, and I let the suction power (and a little up/down motion of my own) do the work. I keep the turbo brush permanantly removed from the handle altogether. To me its just added dead weight.

4) only 1 improvenment I could think of now is a retracteable cord....

Drills Review great vacuum!
I really like this vacuum. It is so easy to use and the detachable canister makes cleaning stairs a breeze. It has great suction. I have one rug that is so hard to clean, cat hair just seems to attch to it like a magnet and it never really comes off. My old Hoover fold away was a joke you had to go over this rug 20 times and it still never really got it all up. But this one got it all up in one try! I am so happy b/c that Hoover has the worst suction! It is nice to get the job done in half the time AND have a much better result.

Drills Review Watch Out
I have had the drill for about a year and a half. I have never dropped it or anything and the one battery is cracked. It will not hold charge or anything. I have been getting by with one battery and now the charger doesn't work either. I called the Milwaukee company and they told me that they would give me an estimate on a new battery and charger. They would not stand behind anything. I have to say the drill is alright. i like the drill its self but the batteries and the charge doesn't stand up and the company will not stand behind it. I is a pile of BS. I will never buy another Milwaukee tool! I am going to buy a DEWALT and get a real TOOL! Everyone who reads this-watch out because Milwaukee will get you to. Just think twice and buy a DEWALT!

Drills Review HEAVY duty
This blew the doors off an 18v Hitachi. More power, longer run-time, and hammer-drill capability. It has survived a few drops already.

This drill is not for the weak. Your wrists and arms will ache if you are doing wall or ceiling work all day.

I wanted power and durability. It appears I have it. I'll put up with the weight.

Drills Review Great-No Less than Great...
This is an outstanding hammer-drill. Like almost all the Milwaukee line, it is a top quality, take-no-prisoners type drill. High torque, excellent power. Versatile. Excellent.

Drills Review Oh well.
I am sure it's just me, but I was a little disappointed- if I wanted a copy of a Milwaukee, I would have bought a Makita. The chuck is cheesy (sorry) the cord seems borrowed from a cheap TV, the direction switch feels like it's gonna break each time I use it. Maybe the Milwaukee 3/8 I remember using a while back was an older model. I am sure the essential guts and geabox in this unit are still bulletproof, but the daily details have been neglected and it was this I noticed immediately and unrelentingly. So for another $30 or so I can buy a proper cord and a nice Jacobs chuck and have.. what?

Drills Review Good Drill, Plenty of Power, Poor Chuck!
This drill has great torque, it will twist your hand off if you use the the old "hold the lock ring while you spin the chuck to tighten the bit" method. I could do that with my battery powered Dewalt 18 volt drill without incident. Using this drill you better not do it!

This drill will handle anything you throw at it, but I greatly dislike the chuck. You can not get it as tight as a normal keyed chuck and some of the materials I drill though cause the bit to slip. It is especially prevalent with the small sized bits.

I would give this drill 5 stars if the chuck was keyed!

Drills Review Dependable, Enduring, strong Product (Gen. Contr.)
Over the years I have owned a great number of drills. My first ever drill was a 3/8 Milwaukee hole shooter, is still my favorite and in 18 yrs is still working as good as ever with a cord change the only maintenance required. I purchased this new drill hoping for the same quality and was pleased to find it still there.

Drills Review Not as good as a "Heavy Duty" drill should be...
The Milwaukee 5378-20 works perfect for light applications and it does well in concrete. My first one burned up suddenly while drilling a 1/2 inch hole in wood with an auger bit, I guess it was some sort of manufacturing defect. My second one has been working fine, very good in concrete, good in steel and wood, but it does not seem like the drill has too much power. If you look for a true "Heavy Duty" drill, don't go with that one. But for most things around the house, this drill works just fine.

Drills Review Outstanding-so far at least....
Purchased this Model today locally and it did not dissapoint. It ate thru concrete block like I eat thru a Chinese buffet after a full days work. Strong, yet quieter than most, well balanced, and not as heavy as some. Would definitely recommend fo rthe occasional user (like me), have no idea how well it will hold up in the long run. 3 Year warranty was a plus, as Bosch drill of comparable size only had 1 year....

Drills Review Super Drill with a Punch
Have used this drill for about 2 weeks, and love it. It drills through cement like butter (but it's loud - wear ear protection).

I used another hammer drill prior to purchasing this one, and highly recommend a KEYED chuck. The loaner drill had a hand-chuck, and I couldn't get the drill bits tight enough, even though I felt like I was about to break the drill. The keyed chuck is essential for hammer operation.

Wish it had a storage box, but apart from that, this drill is super.

Drills Review NOT AVAILABLE
I ordered this item for my husband for Christmas...Well it arrived today and it is the wrong one. They sent a 1/2' drill instead of the 3/8". They said it was a substitution because the 3/8" is discontinued. They didn't even contact me to see if it would be ok to substitute. Now I have to wait for my account to be credited and probably have to pay the shipping to send the wrong item back...........merry christmas!

Drills Review 5 years of hard use, Excellent drill!!!
I've been using this drill for the past 5 years and it has performed flawlessly since day one. I've treated this drill like a redhead stepchild and tortured it with heavy daily use. It's fallen down a flight of concrete stairs and my idiot neighbor dropped it off his roof when I stupidly let him borrow it. While I don't recommend treating your power tools this way, my dewalt drill has taken everything I can dish out and still works as well as the day I bought it.
The battery life is excellent. I've put hundreds of hours of actual use to them and in five years had to purchase one replacement. Be careful to deplete the charge before recharging the battery. If you place the ni-cad battery on the charger before it needs charging, you will kill the battery life. This is true with all ni-cad batteries, and has nothing to do with Dewalt.
The adjustable torque can be set to stop at a very delicate setting, or you can set it with enough torque to rip your arm off if that's more your style. The molded plastic drill bit holders are very nice for keeping spare bits within easy reach and prevent constantly looking around wondering where you left your bits.
If you're looking for a cordless drill with enough power to make it through a long day on the jobsite or just a great drill for home improvement, this is the one. I highly recommend this drill! you won't be disappointed.

Drills Review Reliable powerhouse with great battery life
I've had this drill for about 8 months now and used it in a variety of settings for all sorts of purposes. I am amazed at how long the batteries hold a charge, and how they seem to be immune from even subfreezing temperature. I left it outside on the porch after finishing a project; the temperature fluctuated between upper teens and low 30's for the week it went unfound. I brought it in, thinking the battery was dead, and went to get the other. Out of curiosity I pulled the trigger and it was immediately at full speed. Without changing batteries I took it to the shop and used it over the next several hours with not a whimper. I am impressed. The smaller size and lighter weight make it a dream to use. I'm not convinced that the lack of "XRP" on the batteries make any detectable difference at all. The price is steep at "street list" and I've seen them go for much less, so be patient.

Drills Review Very Satisfied
I needed a 4' level for framing and landscaping. This level is constructed well and when checked against my other levels, it was dead on. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't come with a case. But for $9.99, I didn't expect it would.

Drills Review I don't know what other people use this tool for.............
but I have found that if you lay it flat on a surface, the small air bubble will give an accurate feel for the "levelness" of the surface. Since this tool also has vials oriented in the opposite direction, you can also use it to determine if surface is plumb. Works well for both tasks, and at a great price. I bet people used something like this before there were lasers.

Drills Review Best Drill I Have Seen.
I am a weekend woodworker and have had trouble with battery life in drills in the past ( just like everybody else in the tool world) but I can say that this drill is as good as all of the reviews that was posted and also all the articles that I have read in the woodworking magazines. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was for the price of this compared to other big name drills. But so far I am glad I spent the extra money.

Drills Review Great Tool
Hello, I am a prototype machinest that is acustomed to outstanding tools. This is my second Panasonic ( my first lasted about 10 years , the batteries are a little weak now but I use them with the trouble light that came with this system, it also is a great tool for all round tasks that my whole family use three or four times a week , including camping trips ). This new tool is heavier than the old 12v machine. All things considered, these Panasonics are the best of the range that the home-centers offer with the bonus that they are '' Professional " , designed to do real work in real work enviorments ( I see the other companies drivers failing even though the new designs have improved ) . I am associated with the Auto Industry and keep seeing Panasonic products poping up in the tool shops. This is a Top Quality tool , if you end up buying one you will have the best tool of it's type . As an aside , I purchased the little Skil ixo screwdriver ( about $40 ) that even my wife and grandchildren can do thier screwdriving without chasing me down. Ah, I'm a complete man again. p.s. the old Panasonic 12v unit worked with me for a decade, I replaced it because the batteries were getting weak.

Drills Review Good hand-vaccuum cleaner
It is a very handy cleaner. sucks up all the dirt particles on the carpeted floor. Empty the cup, clean filter, dry it(filter) and charge it.
Make sure you empty the charge completely before recharging it. If at a point (towards the end of the charge) it won't suck anymore, I keep running the vaccum almost till the end say like 2-3 mins till the buzz sound lowers and lowers and then only I recharge it. This keeps it going for a long time.
Very good handy vacuum for stairs and cars.
