Generators Review Bad description on item
The description on the item is not accurate - there is nothing in the bottom and the cover simply hangs down, proving less covering or protection than a simple plastic tarp.

Plus, there is an essentially open side, although held together with hook-n-loop, there is a gap of about four inches on the front corners, which you can't close tighter.

Very disappointed - 1 star is too high for what you think you are getting. This is the very first thing I've returned to Amazon in a very long time of shopping with them.

Generators Review How to cover your generator in 1 easy step.
Do you live in a hurricane prone area?
Have you, for any reason, lost electricity for more than a week?
If you answer yes to either question you need to own a generator and if you buy a generator, which is an ugly peice of machinery, you need to hide it with an appropriate cover.
Go to Amazon.com and you will find a very good cover at a reasonable price. The cover will protect your ugly machine and appear to be covering your barbeque grill which should impress your neighbors.

Generators Review Too small for Porter Cable H1000
This cover was listed on the same page as the Porter Cable H1000, 10kW generator. It is too small for that generator. Get the extra large instead.

Generators Review Smaller cover than expected
It seems to be a decent quality cover, but its size is:
37" long
25" wide
27.5" high

It is too small to fit the Guardian Ultra Source Generators - 12.5K, 15K or (new) 17.5K models, all of which are at least 48" long, 31" wide and 39" tall.

I hope having this information will prevent you from needing to ship it back like me.

Generators Review No parts available
I purchased the Kipor 2000ti and was impressed. Small, quiet just like the more expensive Honda. But, after sitting (without use) for a few months, the fuel on/off switch started leaking. Finding the part has been a nightmare. The product is still very new to the U.S. I can't find anyone, local or internet that has parts.
Also, all the tech data/instructions that come with the generator are in Chinese. I wrote to the company asking for English instructions, to no avail.
If I had to do it over again, I'd spend the extra couple hundred bucks for a Honda and the ease of parts.

Generators Review Mediocre performance
Don't buy this product if your major requirement is vacuuming. It does a really disappointing job. Holding this device to vacuum all corners is a really painful thing. Also the manual is not at all informative; I think they can really do a better job by including some more images along with descriptions. I did not test power source feature for cell phones and laptops, so I can't write about it. Also if you are looking for flash light or emergency light features, it does a decent job.

Generators Review Centurian generator has problems
I have purchased several of these. They typically have one or more of the following problems.
1: The transfer relay does not switch both circuits connected to in (problem seen in several units). It appears that the return spring is too strong for the relay to close both sides. The problem has been "fixed" by stretching the spring.
2: Generator does not produce electricity. The unit was not getting asdequate excitation from "DPE" winding. A circuit breaker was limiting current to a point below that at which the unit would operate.
The idea behind this generator is GREAT. Its implementation by Generac misses the mark- additional preproduction testing would have caught these bugs.

Generators Review Will Not Run
I purchased this item several months ago. The Generator ran twice and now it will not start. I have called supposed authorized centers for repair, but they tell me they do not know that much about the generator. Also they say it will be an $80.00/hr service call. What happened to the 2 year warranty? So now I sit here with a lawn ornament and a hurricane fast approaching (WILMA) So tell me what to do. Next stop our local T.V. Problem Solvers. Guess what after many calls and a bunch of BS from the company that made the product they replaced the old with a new. Works better, just have to wait for a storm to give it the real test.

Generators Review Beware!
This generator is not good for much. After trying this generator and finding it would not work as advertised, I contacted Coleman's Tech support and was told that this unit will not power ANYTHING electronic!! They said nothing with a circuit board or digital control will operate because the power was so "dirty". It won't run a battery charger, small refrigerator or a computer which are well within its "rated capacity." The product information doesn't make it clear how limited this unit is. I have used several other portable generators of different brands (both expensive and inexpensive) and they worked fine for me. Even a $250 generic model powered my items with no problem.

Coleman also claims it is quiet. Don't be fooled... it is as loud as other units twice the size.

I am disappointed in Coleman for not disclosing the shortcomings of this product.

Be aware that once the generator has been fueled or oiled, it can not be shipped back. That means you are stuck with it.

FYI, to all prospective buyers, this is a very cheaply made piece of equipment. I would strongly suggest going with a different model adn/or brand.

Generators Review Junk !!! Engine ran for about 4 hours.
Junk !!! Engine ran for about 4 hours. Pulled unit out of box. Filled with oil as per instructions. Started generator. After about 3-4 hours of light load I heard a huge clank. Stopped generator and pulled the oil plug. Huge metal chunks came out of the engine. Only plus it has a one year warranty and it is honered at any local repair shop. Still I now own a junk rebuilt blown engine generator.
Do not buy.

Generators Review Came defective and horrible service
The product came defective in the mail -- the choke would not work. I called the company for warranty service and they pointed me to a service center 60 miles away. I could not mail it in for repair. The generator was also rather loud ... louder than what I had expected this to be. It is definitely not 56db with no load.

Generators Review Poor customer Service
This is a Kipor Generator rebranded as a MCculloch. My issue was with the service. When I received the Generator and it was hard to start and when it did get started the AC output flickered and the engine hunted for a speed to run at. Called Mcculloch for service (cause I like this generator and wanted to keep it) and they told me they did not service the thing that they had a 3rd party to do that bothersome stuff. Called them next and they sent me to a Service center 30 miles a way that never saw one,had no service manual and might be able to fix it. Well they tried, refused to submit it for free warranty service and charge me $50 for "Dirty Gas". Got it home and kinda ran smoother but the output still flickered. Gave up and sent it back. ALso I called Kipor directly for help and they sent me packin telling me since it was rebranded they did not want to help me. This is probably an OK generator if you have a good running one but the Customer service has much to be desired and is something to consider as part of the whole package.
