Nailers and Staplers Review It sinks alright but the the tip marks soft wood. This is a big problem!
This nailer marks soft wood on the recoil and if you push too hard it will mark just setting the nailer on the wood. I don't get why this was not brought up here before. I sets nails well alright but the extra mark in the wood is not worth it. I still have my Senco with a plastic non mar tip, not anywhere near the power but does not mark the wood as this Hitachi. 3 out of 5 from me for this huge problem and for the fact the tip design does not allow for pinpointing the exact path the nail will take.

Nailers and Staplers Review Super Brad GUN
I got mine about 6 months ago and I love it .It does not misfire or double fire .It set the nail every time in all types of woods. Truly the best brad gun for the money mabe the best on the market.

Nailers and Staplers Review well worth the money
i've been using this brad gun for a little over 2 months now and I really like it, I use it mostly to install shoe molding and other light trim work. The Hitachi has performed flawlessly , always countersinking the brads. Just to see how strong it shot , I took two scrap pieces of 5/4 oak stacked on top of each other and shot a 2" brad into the two pieces , and the nail head was countersunk nicely, needless to say I was surprised. P.S., this gun replaced a senco 1 1/4" brad gun that wasn't countersinking for me properly (yes i am a senco fan, I love my 41xp), the hitachi is well worth the price, no doubt.

Nailers and Staplers Review Does its job well.
This is my first brad nailer/stapler, but I've been very pleased with it. It's made of quality materials and feels very substantial in your hands. I've fired tons of brads and staples through it and have never had a single jam or problem at all. It's really a job to use. I would consider myself pretty picky about my tools. I can usually point out a few things about each of my tools that a don't like, but I really can't find any big problems with this one. My only real complaint is that I have a hard time firing into some soft woods (like cedar) and not leaving a small notch (mine did not come with a plastic tip). Also, I've heard that even if you do buy a kit which includes the plastic tip, you'll probably end up losing it anyway. Generally, though, I use brads in places which aren't visible on the finished product, so this is a minor concern for me. I was able to buy my A2N125 on clearance for a reduced price which had no tip, case, oil, or safety glasses. The boxed deal comes with the plastic tip which would render one of my complaints above moot.

All in all, a great brad nailer and stapler. I'd definitely recommend it.

Nailers and Staplers Review Works Like A Charm
Being an owner & user of Bostitch air tools for 15+ years, my expectations were high when I ordered this tool. Once again, Bostitch has not let me down. This tool is great, easy to use and will undoubtly last a long time. I would reccomend purchasing the finished flooring foot if you are going to use this tool on pre-finished flooring.

Nailers and Staplers Review my best investment
THIS MACHINE WAS GREAT. THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO WATCH IS THE LEVEL OF THE NAILS, IF THEY GET TOO LOW IT SHOOTS OUT A COUPLE AT A TIME. WHEN YOU GET DOWN TO 5-6 NAILS PUT IN ANOTHER SLEEVE.IT DID THE JOB AND PULLS THE FLOORING TOGETHER . WE DID 1200 FEET OF FLOORING AND THE GUN IS A TIME SAVER. GIVE IT A GENEROUS HIT WITH THE HAMMER AND KEEP THE OIL TO IT.

Nailers and Staplers Review Awesome!
As a first-time hardwood flooring installer, this tool worked flawlessly! I laid 1500 square feet of prefinished 3/4" x 3" white oak with very little effort. Not one single nail jam with this tool! I would highly recommend this tool to anyone!

Nailers and Staplers Review One of the best and broadly used guns on the market!
I have no idea what Mr.John P. Wolfe is talking about...

We have over 20 of these and have never had one single problem as Mr. Wolfe says he did......
We shoot UP! DOWN! SIDEWAYS! EVERYWAY you can think of...
And use both the NS100A and the NS150A guns.

The #1 problem any owner will have will occure when sawdust, and other harsh grit is left in and around the gun.

The #2 problem is caused by NOT oiling the gun! 20 drops per 1000 staples or brads for that matter is a good starting point.

The #3 problem is caused by not enough air pressure. 50 lbs is a good safe point to use.

The #4 problem is not using PORTER CABLE BRAND staples, nails or brads.... and this can be a big one for some off brand nails!

This is a very good gun! Porter Cable only puts out GOOD GUNS!
In fact I have to say that 75% of all complaints people have with these guns are due to one of the above reasons!

*Porter Cable* 100 years and still #1 in the industry!

Nailers and Staplers Review A Staple Is Crowned
This pneumatic stapler was an unexpected new advance for me,coming free as a bonus after buying a Porter-Cable compressor/finish nailer/brad nailer package. At first, I didn't know where you use a stapler instead of a nailer. I didn't even know why they call it a "crown" stapler-it's not used for crown molding. It sat unused for several months.

Then one day I saw some professionals putting up stucco wire-a chore I'd always hated-with a stapler. Bingo. As soon as I started using this stapler instead of a hammer and roofing nails, the time consumed dropped by about 75%. And the job was actually fun, instead of a thing that elicited curses and involuntary procrastination. You put the wire up on the wall, and after a very satisfying bam bam bam, it's done.

I'm sure the pros use a wider staple, or a staple with a wider "crown", so to speak. With this unit, you have to take a couple seconds each time to center the nose on the wire because the staple is only a quarter of an inch wide. Aside from that, it's a dream tool for a nightmare job. I actually look for stuff to use it on (soffits, cedar shingles) because it's such a pleasure to use.

Nailers and Staplers Review Superdee Duperdee Tool!!!!!!!
I have had this stapler for three years. Every time I pick it up it delivers. I pull the trigger, it drives the staple. I have driven thousands of staples and no jams so far!!! I oil the tool regularly and filter the air. I treat it correctly. As far as I'm concerned, if you treat this tool right, it will treat you right. You don't have to BABY it but just treat it at least like you like it. It will perform for you in kind! I haven't had any problems finding staples. When I recently needed a framing nailer I didn't look far. The Porter-Cable framing nailer was what I got. It's great too... that affirms my assumption: Porter Cable makes great products!!!

Get it before it's too late!!!

Nailers and Staplers Review Fast shipping, but Box crushed up
Just received the stapler and it looks like a gorilla handled it in shipping but didnt see any damage to gun. The shipping was fast ordered it on a Saturday got it on a Tuesday. Would have liked to had a case with it, but cant have everything. Gun seems lightweight and easy to use. Staples are in stock locally so no running around to find them. Will write more once I am using it more though.

Nailers and Staplers Review Very nice
The only reason I initially purchased this gun is because it came in a combo kit with an RN46 roof nailer(excellent value). After trying it out on both a roofing job, and Tyvek wrap, I love it. I work alone on a lot of jobs, and anyone else who has ever laid felt and housewrap while trying to swing a hammer, will definitely appreciate this tool. The only gripe I had was when I realized that I had a box of 5000 staples and a package of 1000 caps, and had to run to the store for more caps. Kinda reminded me of the hot dog and bun companies. Was also glad to see it comes with a case, being an awkward shaped tool.

Nailers and Staplers Review Great tool
If you do any type of contracting work this tool is a must! No more hammer stapler, with this you can put down felt paper, house wrap and save a lot of time. I found mine on e-bay, just 115 bucks. That is a steal for this piece of equipment.

Nailers and Staplers Review Excellent labor saver
Have used this stapler on roofing felt, house wrap. and fan-fold siding insulation.Wonderful, works very well and saves a tremendous amount of time. Paid for itself on the first job.
No contractor should be without one or two of these.

Nailers and Staplers Review Nail Gun
It came fast! Looks brand new and in good condition. I have yet to use it.

Nailers and Staplers Review A strong four stars
This nailer is made by Campbell-Hausfeld and as far as I can tell it is the EXACT same nailer as the Campbell Hausfeld CHN10299 2" brad nailer.

Though this is the first air nailer I ever owned, I have used several others, including some much more expensive models (also, I do have a 16 gauge Porter Cable "Bammer" finish nailer). After reading up on what features to look for in an air nailer, I chose this model.

It uses very little air, which is good because I only have a small compressor. It also has a directional exhaust to keep the air blasts out of your face and a padded tip to avoid marring the workpiece. The grips are very comfortable. I found that setting the nail depth was easy and accurate, as was loading the nails into the magazine. The heft and feel of this nailer is that of a good quality tool. Though I probably don't need to use 2" brads on most of my projects, it is good to have that option if and when I need it.

Basically, the only complaint I had was that the little bottle of oil that was included with this kit had a cracked cap, which allowed some oil to leak out in the case during shipment. Otherwise, this is a very solid brad nailer at a great price. I highly recommend it!

Nailers and Staplers Review it is just what everyone is saying
this unit is great. solidly built, no oil needed, pressure/depth control, adjustable exhaust port, and a function to shoot nails at low speed at the dog or the kids. - disquised as a jam remover. you will accidently release this and it will be surprising, but no harm done.
AND for the price you cannot go wrong. I have no experience with any other nailer, but this does exactly what I wanted it to do and what it is advertised to do.
Have not used it long enough to rate longevity or jam freedom.

Nailers and Staplers Review Well made and good deal but
The Bostitch appears well made and it is a good deal with the included stapler. It will drive 1 3/4 nails easily although in cold weather it is necessary to increase the pressure to 100 psi. So far I have only nailed one square of shingles, but it has already misfired once - not a good sign. The misfire was due to a misfeed but did not seem to be a nail problem since I was using Bostitch brand 1 1/4 nails (not generics).

Nailers and Staplers Review nailer
This has been a very reliable nailer for me. It make easy work of putting on a roof. It is light weight, and nails quickly.

Nailers and Staplers Review Great combo
The nailgun is as good as everyone says, and the Hammer Stapler is a great addition. It works fine for quickly tacking on felt, housewrap, vapor barriers, etc. Not a bad deal!

Nailers and Staplers Review This Stapler Works
I planned to install hardwood floor in my 4 bedrooms. I was new to installing floors. My friends recommended to install the floor using Floating method. I did that and it worked but I did not like the feeling of the floor. It was a floating feeling. So, I decided to spend some money and do it right. I purchased a Makita air compressor (Hot Dog), Bostitch N62FNK-2 Finish nailer and a MIIIFS Floor stapler from Amazon.com. Air compressor and Nailer, stapler work great together. I installed one room, no jams and it works like a charm. Compressor keeps up with the demand. I used 3/8" Rubber hose with the compressor. Stapler came in a beatup box. I was concerned about it but when I used the stapler it worked fine from the word go. To install first 2 rows,I used the finish nailer to face nail the planks and then used the stapler. I love the feeling of a solid floor instead of floating it. Every body in the family loves the new floor. Great tools. Highly recommended.

Nailers and Staplers Review Bostich Floor Stapler
Before I purchased the Bostich Floor Stapler, I rented one for three days. It worked so good I decided to buy one. I have only used it to lay about 900 sq. ft. of white ash hardwood flooring and it worked great. I have not had a jam, and the only times that it didn't put the staple all the way in, was my fault. I hadn't hit the stapler hard enough with the mallet. I know the staples work good because pulling a board up that was already stapled is not easy. But when you get the board up, the staples can be removed and the board can be reused. Needless to say, I am quite happy with the purchase.

Nailers and Staplers Review saving your back
I am not a flooring professional. I laid my floor with a carpenter. Personally I've never used a manual nailer, but he says it's a major back saver, which when you do the math (20-30lbs versus 4lbs of hammering pressure) makes a lot of sense. As to tongue splitting, lower the pressure (the stapler works great with my tiny and very light senco compressor) and--does it really matter? You can get really close to the wall, which means very little face nailing.

staples vs. nails--don't really have any comment. but this tool works well. We laid australian cyprus--which is a hard soft wood, harder than red oak.
