This is an excellent chainsaw with plenty of power. You don't waste time priming and filling up with gas as with a gas chainsaw.

Almost as good as my gas saw but far more reliable.

I've been very happy with this chainsaw. I've been using it for 3 months to cut piles of oak trees into firewood. It has plenty of power for my purposes and it looks and feels like a quality product. It's certainly quieter, cleaner, and more user-friendly than a comparable gas chainsaw. I'll buy this same chainsaw again if the one I have ever dies on me.

I have owned several of these saws for business, no other small saw perfoms so well. Quick, efficient cutting capability...moving at 5,500 feet per minute it is simply the fastest electric chainsaw on the market. Lightweight, easy to reach oiler...quiet (well, in comparison to my big saws!)
A great choice for the home or business.

I used this chain saw to cut up tree limbs that had fallen during the recent hurricanes. To my surprise it cut similiar to gas ones that I had used in the past without the pain of starting and restarting all the time. It has a lot of power and the feel of it is of a good dependable product. I would recommend this product over the Remingtons sold in most local stores. I have never heard a good report on them.

The Remington 076728J 1.25 hp 12" Electric Chain Saw is great for light use like trimming hedges and bushes which have heavier limbs that a hedge trimmer can't handle like up to about 2" in diameter. The two keys for long time usage are to sharpen the chain regularly and keep the oil level full. These two steps reduce the drag on the engine and give you years of dependable usage.Also as with any electric outdoor tool invest in a heavy duty electrical cable to power your chainsaw.

The 14 foot reach is a great asset when it is needed. However, at full length it does increase the effective weight significantly when leverage is factored in. Should be easily handled by those with average strength; but it is a bit more work for this old man reviewer. The telescoping pole reduces this concern when the extra length is not needed.

I recently purchased a USED Husky 136 with a 14 inch bar and chain, from a local repair shop. It is a 1999 year model. I took the top cover off, pulled the spark plug and checked the cylinder head, and top of the piston for scoring, sludge, or anything out of the ordinary..it was clean so I put it back together, and pulled the choke, and pulled the cord..it started with 2 pulls..(once it sounds like it wants to start, push the choke in and start it!) I've so far used it to cut 9 trees that needed to be cut down. It works like a champ, and this is a USED husky! 5 stars for this one..I got a great deal on a good saw, and its saved me tons of money, and work! its light enough to cut thicket, and with a 14 inch bar I can cut up to a 26 inch tree with it..no problems!

I have this belt on my table saw and can recommend it without reservation. However, this always sold for under thirty dollars on Amazon but the price recently jumped to over ninety. What's up with that?

I purchased the powertwist belt for my Jet drill press just recently on a hunch that it would help eliminate some of the annoying vibration. I thought the drill press was just not well balanced and built to marginal tolerances. It was amazing how adding the power twist belt virtually eliminated significant vibration. The drill press is like a totally different tool. My advice to Jet or Delta is: Put one of these on at the factory. The only gotcha is the directions are not as clear as they should be and I would think that people with poor eye hand coordination, arthritis and visualizing things in space may have a little frustration at first ( but if they do what are they doing messing around with sharp, spinning, grinding things anyway?)

I was ready to get rid of my saw, and buy a new one. Even with a new belt, it vibrated so bad, the pullies would come loose. I put this belt on in a couple of minutes, and it was smooth as could be. I definitely recommend this belt.

After reading all the positive reviews on this saw and the positive experience I have with the Craftsman 3.5 HP electric chain saw (34116), I decide to buy this electric chainsaw instead of an 18" gas powered model. The Craftsman has been used to fell pines and poplars as large as 12" in diameter with no problem and I have had it for over three years and it has cut a lot of trees.

Well, I have to send this one back to Amazon today. To Amazon's credit, it allowed me to return but this one should never been shipped out.

The box on this saw was opened already because the box staples were all missing. Plus, there was the word "oilll" on the box. Apparently Amazon decided to ship me an opened (maybe defective) unit. This might be due to the fact that they only had a few in stock.

I immediately contacted Amazon. The service was excellent. A replacement one was ordered for me and I was asked to send back this one. However, the replacement was not ready to ship because of "change of suppliers". I cancelled the replacement order, figuring I would give this one a try. If it works, then I will keep it. If not, I will return.

So I put oil in the saw and tried a few cuts. Not to my surprise, the automatic oiler on the saw did not pump any oil. The chain and bar stayed very dry. I then ran it in high speed for about another minute and it was still dry. The saw, however, sound very powerful. It is a bit heavier than my Craftsman 34116.

I really have mixed feeling on this order after many many orders from Amazon. I am also looking to buy an air compressor/nailer kit. In reading some of the feedbacks, there were users complaining Amazon shipping opened units. As I said Amazon should have never shipped this one out as it was apparently defective. However, its service in dealing with the issue was excellent. So overall, I will give this a two star rating because of the excellent after problem service.

My purchasing experience has been VERY good - the Poulan chain saw arrived quickly and I was using it in about 15 minutes - just had to read a few things to make sure I was doing it right. Put some oil in it and went to work. The saw is very powerful. I was quite pleased - plenty good for all of my around the house needs.

I originally bought the Poulan Pro 42 CC 18" Gas Chainsaw but after reading the reviews here I took it back without even taking it out of the case and bought this one instead. I am very glad I did. I only need a chainsaw for around the house to cut fallen trees or the odd job. So the idea of keeping a can of mixed gas and oil didn't appeal to me. Not to mention the saw would sit on the shelf for months at a time between uses and I didn't care for the starting problems or engine repairs of a gas chainsaw. However I was worried that this electric chainsaw would not be powerful enough. I had 2 fallen trees with a bases of about 15 inches that I needed to cut into firewood immediately. This chainsaw performed perfectly. I realize that it was new so the chain was nice and sharp but it still had no problem cutting through everything quickly. I loved being able to start it and stop it at will without the hassle of priming a gas engine or overheating problems or running out of gas or messing with the choke. I stopped whenever I felt like it and came in the house for a drink of water. Went right back out and with just a squeeze of the trigger was back to cutting again. I have a perfectly cut half cord of firewood in just a few hours. Amazon delivered the saw to my doorstep in 7 days with the free shipping. The saw did not come with a case or chain oil so I had to make a quick run to the store for some oil. I was happy to see that the saw used almost a quart of chain oil for the 2 trees. This told me that chain stayed nice and wet. Afterwards I spent about 10 minutes cleaning the saw back up like new and put it back on my shelf for the next time. It only took removing the two lugs and the chain and bar came right off for cleanup. Nice job Poulan.

Agree with all the other reviews... this pruner is powerful, easy to use, and a good value. One note - the pruner measures 9 feet from end to end... I'm not sure how that translates to a 12 foot reach (adding 3 feet of my arm to the product specs?) but I read the description and thought I could reach up 12 feet... you cannot without a ladder.

Still, I'd recommend this.

This is indeed a very nice pole saw.

I did not use the electric power unit. I attached the pole saw to my 4-cycle string trimmer and it cuts nice and fast. The oiler also works well. As many Poulan made oilers, it will drip in storage so you may want to either empty the oil reservoir or put a piece of plastic underneath.

I trimed all the branches that I can reach while standing on the ground today. The 12' reach is about right. Tomorrow, I am going to go up a ladder and trim the ones even higher.
