Miter Saws Review Old-Time Quality, a Top Performer
I have owned this jig for 15 years. During that period I have used it on a variety of size/weight stock and have never been disappointed. Its solid, massive design allows positive (i.e. safe) control of movement during the cut. Worth every penny if you do much of this type of work.

Miter Saws Review Worth the money
There are plenty of other jigs available, and most people go for the low cost. Why not? They must work OK, right?

Well, they may work "OK", but this one is in a league all its own. Why? Mostly because of the weight of the thing. The machining is fine, the features, the size of wood it can handle, micro-adjustment and so forth are great. So is the large bearing surface and the oversized tightening handle (read: powerful clamping strength). But the one thing that makes this one the best is the weight. It stands up to whatever vibration, pinching, grabbing, and whatnot that might occur when shoving a piece of wood through a saw blade. There's no worry, ever, about kickback or losing control, and the smoothness of the cut is pretty nearly perfect thanks to the rock-solid support of the jig.

To illustrate: I regularly cut tenons and half-lap joints on the ends of up to 8 foot pieces of wood, sometimes at a 45 degree angle. That means the jig holds an 8 foot board sticking up at 45 degrees, and guides it safely and smoothly across the saw. Try THAT on your $119.99 nearly-as-good jig. Or don't- you'll damage yourself if you try.

Miter Saws Review Delta 34-172 Tenon Jig
This jig has been around for decades and has yet to be matched in terms of durability and stability. Sure there are cheaper jigs on the market, but none better. This jig still sells used for up to [$], whereas the lightweight jigs are a dime a dozen. Spend the extra [$] or so, and you won't regret it. It fits the delta Unisaw and other 10" saw with the 3/4 x 5/8" slot. It can be made to fit any saw by making another mitre slot bar or tapping the base to adapt to a wider blade to mitre slot distance. 5 Star machine. Delta has "cheapened most of their machines by cutting weight and using plastic. This is one of the few tools that is true to it's original form. Go for it.

Miter Saws Review cuts like a champ
Cuts aluminum like wood. Be careful though. Your miter saw instructions will generally give you precautions to follow so that a given blade doesn't catch the metal (the piece that is cut off) and shoot it like a bullet off the back side of the saw. I didn't read/follow my saw's instructions (so learned this the hard way).

Miter Saws Review Great Blade!
Cuts nice and clean with no vibration or gouging. I do custom shower and glass barrier system installations. I like this 72 tooth blade because with care I can use it to cut both thin and thick extrusions and you don't need a large powerful miter saw which means I can save space on the truck.

Miter Saws Review Excellent Non-Ferrous Metal Cutting Blade
The Freud LU89M series is a great blade. Period. If you've ever cut aluminum with your table or miter saw using a blade designed for wood you know how scary it is. The teeth are not designed for metal and it's very touchy. At any moment the metal can bind, overhead, kick back or throw a tooth. Wood blades are too aggressive for aluminum.

I needed to cut some thick aluminum stock (1/4" and 1-1/2") so I picked up a 10" LU89. Cuts like a dream. Very smooth, very safe. I did install a zero-clearance throat plate on the table saw and clamped the metal to the sliding miter so it wouldn't move, but what excellent cuts! Be sure to wear good eye and ear protection: chips fly. Lubricate the blade with WD-40 or other liquid metal lube (they say the blade won't clear chips if you use a wax lube) and it will just sing. It's like working with a mill.

I look forward to having this quality on my compound miter saw to cut aluminum extrusion for closet door hardware, shower doors and door thresholds.

Miter Saws Review Dead on!
I have owned Dewalt, Delta, Hitachi, Ryobi. Hands down this makita is the best saw. End of story.

Miter Saws Review PERFECT - PERFECT - PERFECT
Over the years I have owned the DeWALT DW708, I've recently tried the Bosch 4412, and recently purchased the Makita LS1013, this Makita saw is PERFECT.

It cuts precisely and accurately right out of the box. I did not have to adjust anything, and am very happy with this saw.

This 10" saw can do most things a 12" can, and since it's a 10" there is no blade deflection, as often experienced on 12" models.

I LOVE this saw, it's dead-on accurate and very comfortable to use. Only thing worth noting is that the left / right miter control is set-off to the right side of the saw, not up-front like other comparable brands. This is taking me some time to get used to, as I'm used to the miter control being located up front. I've been using this saw for a few days, and am slowly getting used to this feature.

The most important thing in a dual-bevel compound sliding miter saw (or any saw for that matter) is accurate cuts, and this saw delivers just that flawlessly!

I have never owned Makita tools, in fact up until now I have been a die-hard DeWALT fan. However, I did not like the new DeWALT DW718, and my DW708 was in need of replacement.

After trying the Bosch 4412, which was a HUGE disappointment, I decided to try the Makita saw, after hearing many professional carpenters highly recommending them.

This saw is easily THE best SCMS I have ever owned, and I would 100% recommend this saw to everyone who needs an accurate, precise saw for cutting and installing fine trim molding! Don't get me wrong, this saw can be used for cutting 2x stock, 4x stock, etc but it shines when cutting detailed trim molding!

Miter Saws Review Great sliding saw - just like the makita
Well, I've used the saw atleast a dozen times since I purchased it. It was already zeroed in on 0 degrees and all the standard miter/bevel stops. They do provide instructions and a precision triangle if any fine tuning needs to be done. I've cut over 2 dozen oak and brazilian cherry 4" posts (very hard wood for building staircases) and the saw has performed flawlessly. The laser is online although I have to admit I'm old fashioned and don't us it much. I did make some blind cuts with and without the laser to check it's accuracy incase I ever needed it...and it was right on!!!!!

Miter Saws Review Watch Out Big Boys
A few months ago I purchased the avenger dado set and was extremely pleased with the quality of the product and the cut it produced. Afew weeks ago I bought the 10" 3 pack. This package is a steal! I closely compared them to Freud blades I own and they are extemely close in and quality, but not in price. The 80 tooth finish blade alone is worth more than the purchase price throw in the other two guality blades and a nice wooden case to store and protect them in and you have a real bargain. The carbide is extra thick and they are sharpened to the correct bevel and cut. The final test of the blade came when I put it on my contractors and tested the run out with a dial indicator. The run out was less than 0.002 well within the acceptable limit. I will certainly continue to buy Avenger products in the future. Their quality and price make an unbeatable combination.

Miter Saws Review AT THIS PRICE YOU SHOULD BUY TWO!
I have had the pleasure of testing some of the Avenger line of great products. This set of blades is all you really need to use a 10' table saw! If you still need a dado blade They also have a very good selection of super dados! But back to this very fine set of blades. They provide ultra smooth cuts and you will not need a stabilizer with any of them.

The quality is up there with the leading brands but this is a great bargain also. If you need a good honest deal this is it. Avenger service is also up there in quality. They are only a phone call away if you need anything or advice.

I write tool reviews for two boat building magazines and I try to find my readers high quality products that will help them build works of art. Believe me some of my readers boats could be museum pieces they are that beautiful. These tools that make those boats are made like Avenger blades.

Avenger also carries measuring tools that are super accurate and are not from a freight company. If you are looking for a laser kerf guide or a dial indicator to test your new Avenger blade run out you don't have travel any further than Avenger. I only buy the best for my shop and I have Avenger tools now.

Miter Saws Review Typicial Biesemeyer
This product is just what you would expect from Biesmeyer, meaning a little pricey but excellent quality. The stop is very well made. The dual cursor settings on both sides of the stop for guaging both straight-line cuts and miter cuts are excellent. Product is also delivered with excellent packaging, ensuring no damage during delivery. Enjoy...!

Miter Saws Review An excellent accessory for your miter saw
I have come to expect a lot from Biesemeyer (especially for the price), and this accessory does not disappoint. It enables very accurate cutoffs repeatably. It attaches to any fence that is 1.5" thick, and at least 1" high. The large knob tightens securely to the fence, and even slamming stock against it won't move it. The stops can be adjusted to conincide exactly with the placement of the measuring tape on the fence by screwing them in or out, and then are fixed in place with a jam nut.

Miter Saws Review Great Saw - Just Grab And Go
I bought this saw about nine months ago just for kicks since I already had the 24 volt drill, circular saw, and recip saw. I was more than impressed when I got it. It's lightweight and easy to carry, powerful, accurate, and has a good runtime (I quit counting at 75 2x4's ). I use mine for trimming and it is ideal for this. The saw overall is a good value with 2 batteries and a one hour charger. It won't replace a corded miter saw, but it comes pretty close.

Miter Saws Review Cordless Compound Miter Saw
I consider myself to be an advanced do it your selfer to let you know where I'm coming from. I've always wanted a compound miter saw, and have been putting it off for one reason or another. Recently I purchased a Bosch 24 volt drill/circular saw combo kit, and noticed this miter saw kit. One of the things I liked was that the batteries were interchangeable. It comes with two, plus the two from my kit, this would enable me to have an infinite supply of power. I checked the fence, and table for square, and they were good to go right out of the box, I was in shock. By looking at the manual, if you had to make an adjustment it didn't look that difficult. If anyone has ever set up a table saw, or radial arm saw you can appreciate this. I charged the batteries and immediately put it to work cutting 2" X 6" rafters for a 12' X 18' shed that I'm working on. Please note that you can't cut more than a 15 degree miter on a 2" X 6". I have to tell you that this saw has power. The fact that it is cordless is a non event. Actually it is an event, I was re-trimming out our bedroom. Since I was cordless I didn't interrupt my homes electrical system, and I didn't have to hear my wife complain about me messing up the TV. The trigger, and safety are comfortable to use. The dust collection system works good enough. The settings are accurate, and easy to read. The safety shield doesn't obstruct your view, and works smooth. The motor brake will stop on a dime, and give you nine cents change. I really like this saw, I feel it will meet or exceed all of your expectations.

Miter Saws Review Sweet Saw
Smooth is the word here ...... soft starts, and no bogging down with the electronic motor control. Dead on right out of the box. Nice cutting capacities ......... will do the vast majority of what a SCMS will do for a lot less money. Easy to carry despite its size- handle is in just the right spot. Highly recommended.

Miter Saws Review Happy with my Makita RLS1220
The Makita was delivered in six days. Everything was in excellant condition. I have had no problems with the saw and I love it! The larger size blade is exactly what I need in order to cross cut the various sizes of lumber I am working with. I believe the 12" saw will work better than the sliding 10" compound Makita. I encourage anyone who would go with a 10" to step up to the 12" blade.

Miter Saws Review Make an old saw into a new one.
I bought this blade for my 25 year old Dewalt miter saw. I had been seriously considering replacing the saw because it was bogging down quite a bit and didnt seem to produce the nice cuts that it use to. I decided to give this blade a try after having great success with a Freud combo blade on my table saw. I'm glad I did. The thin kerf and anti kickback design has transformed my old saw into a new one. It once again produces the nice miters and smooth cuts that it had for years. What a differance a great blade makes. I really love this old saw because it's all steel, the bed is solid and the adjustment is still precise after all these years. Now with this new blade its rejuvenated. The teflon coated blades are touted as being better than the steel, but for the differance in price I don't think an occasional wood worker can beat this blade. I now own four Freud saw blades including the 6" dadoe set and only have the highest praise for all of them. I'm not wasting my money on any other brand, from now on its Freud all the way. I do wish they made bandsaw blades. Amazon, couldnt find anyone who could beat your price or delivery time. Thanks

Miter Saws Review The only thing cheap is the price
This saw blade is top notch. It does superb cross cut work and is very smooth and powerful. When you remove the blade from the package you know without a doubt that it is top quality. Not only would I recommend this blade for finishing work but for this price you can afford to use it for general use. Top notch keep up the good work Freud. Amazon I looked but found no one who could beat your price.

Miter Saws Review This is a great blade at a good price.
If you've been thinking about a new blade, get this one. It is one of the best all-around 10" blades, especially for the price. The thin kerf saves wood over the long run and I noticed it takes less force to run a piece through and the saw doesn't bog down as much. The super sharp carbide tips really slice through the wood, leaving a clean cut. It also runs quieter than my old blade. The chrome finish should help reduce the friction for a long time since it doesn't build up any gunk on it. Besides that, it just looks good!

Miter Saws Review Perfect for Contractors Saw
I've been using this blade in my Delta Contractors Saw for several months, and it has performed flawlessly. The chrome surface is incredibly durable and still mirror-perfect. It will cut through laminates and veneers without tearout. It's the perfect all-around blade for table saws with less than 3hp.

Miter Saws Review Favorite Blade
I was pleasantly surprised by how good this blade cuts. I knew Freud was a good brand and this definately meet all my expectations.

Miter Saws Review perfect for my screamer
i was looking for a blade to cut 3/4" baltic birch plywood for a large cabinet building project and deceided that this blade would be ideal. after installing it in my delta screamer table saw,(36-600), i gave it a whirl on some scrap plywood. from past experience with freud blades in a radial arm saw, i figured that this blade would do the job perfectly. it has definetly lived up to expectations and then some. i just like cutting stock as if it were butter. also i found it VERY helpful that amazon has the picture of the blades which allow you to see the printed chart on the blade sides.
