I purchased this blade because it appeared to be the best one I could buy at the home center (it was the most expensive). I placed it on my new tablesaw and made some cuts. I thought something was wrong with my saw because no matter how carefully I fed the material through the saw, I got a poor cut.

I aligned my saw and called the saw manufacturer's technical people for assistance. They said, "Try a different blade." I protested a bit and told them the blade in the saw was brand new. Eventually, I complied and installed a dull, used Freud blade in the saw. Despite being dull, it produced a better cut than the new Oldham Signature blade. I returned the blade to the store.

Since then, I have invested in a Forrest WWII blade. Although it was much more expensive, it was a great choice. Don't throw your money away on the Oldham. There are much better blades available.

I orded this blade through Amazon.com about 2 months ago. According to Amazon this blade should have a 1/2 arbor, but it has a 10mm arbor. I've checked and checked, but Amazon.com and Grizzley list this blade as a 1/2 inch arbor. Of course I can't return it as it's been floating around the truck for 2 months. I'm ordering another, but we'll see.

I recently purchased this saw from Home Depot. The reason I purchased this was because of the warranty offered, and to compare it to the DeWalt 703. The reason I do not suggest purchasing this tool is because the saw is very loud. Ear plugs are a must with this saw. The other reason not to purchase this saw is because the laser does not align with the cut of the blade. Another reason is because the arm is not stable. You can accutually wiggle the arm which will make your cut off. Good price, bad qulity. They still need to work the flaws out of this saw. I took the saw back and purchased the DeWalt 703. I own several different brands of miter saws and for everyday use with no specialty crown, the DeWalt 703 is the best in its class. You can add the Irwin laser to this saw and it is DEAD ON!
