Miter Saws Review Better than Freud
This is a great set of blades. Minimal chipout, they stay sharp, and do not need cleaning. I own and have owned several Freud blades including the Super Dado and none of them cut as well as these DeWalt blades. You can make a marginal saw perform like an expensive saw with good blades and these rank among the best I have tried.

Miter Saws Review Wood Hog!
Excellent, aggressive ripping blade. The FTG teeth and aggressive 20 degree hook angle make this a classic ripping blade. It really plows through thick hardwoods with ease. Not the cleanest cutting blade I own, but it sure offers other strengths! It also cuts a flat bottom groove with no "bat ears". Very comparable to my $60 Freud ripper but cost much less.

Miter Saws Review DeWalt 24 tooth saw blade revue
Great blade. Very quiet even when cutting. Mostly used on 2X wood and did not appear to load the motor at all. (20 year old Sears) Was very surprised at the clean cut. would order again.

Miter Saws Review Wow!
Okay, so this isn't as clean cutting and as prestigious as my Forrest WWII, but it's strength begins where there Forrest's start to fade. As a dedicated ripping blade for saws with average power, this blade is impressive. The flat tooth grind (FTG) leaves a nice flat bottom and is very efficient at removing chips so the blade can really walk through thick hardwoods. I had a $50 full kerf Freud LM72 that was a very good blade, but on my saw, the full kerf bogged down more than I wanted. The DW7124TK just walks through the heavy stuff....I'll refrain from the adage "like a hot knife through butter", but it really just keeps on plowing through 2"-3" elm, maple, walnut, chestnut, etc. I couldn't be more pleased with the performance and price for a ripping blade.

Miter Saws Review indistructable dewalt
I intially bought the blade because of the price and because the fellas on my crew go through blades like toilet paper. Now i buy them because its lasted twice as long as any blade Ive thrown down in front of the boys. I know you dont think of dewalt when you think of sawblades but give em a shot. They do have a full line of saw blades and rotahammer bits Ive been very pleased with all of them.

Miter Saws Review Get two extra with stand
When you buy the dewalt miter saw workstation be sure to get a couple of extra of thes supports. They come in very handy and mount right to the workstation. They give added support and the opertunity to use the length stops with out pulling in the extentions.Very easy to adjust.

Miter Saws Review The DW7232 can help reduce your setup
I have the Dewalt miter stand that included two DW7232 stands however I was doing a large project that needed multiple stops both long and short. Instead of moving the existing DW7232 stands around constantly I added two more of the DW7232's on the main rail and was able to cut down the number of stop changes in half. In addition these added support in the middle to the long piece of wood that I was cutting. I just wish I had purchased these sooner.

Miter Saws Review A nice blade
I have this blade for trim on my DW708 and it works well on plastic , foam , hard and softwood mouldings .I would advise you to not " chop " plastic trim as some melting will result . Better if you sweep into the cut .I still use the supplied 60 tooth blade for general materials.

Miter Saws Review Just about a perfect package
After 13 years, I decided it was time to upgrade from my Ryobi BT3000. After much research, and fondling every brand I could get my hands on, I bought this saw package from Amazon.

I could not be happier with the result. The basic DW746 saw plus the sliding table and super trick miter gage and cast iron extension wing make a package nobody else can touch for price and features. This saw is quiet, vibration free and as powerful as you can get from a 110 volt motor. I don't have a machinist's
ruler to gage table flatness, but I do have a Lie Neilsen #7 jointer plane that is dead nuts flat, and setting the plane tilted on edge on the table shows the table flat in all directions within .005".

Be advised this saw does not fall into my defininition of portable. It's one heavy puppy. It took two of us to wrestle the basic saw down to the basement. I was able to get the cast iron extension on by myself, but I could not even pick up the sliding table by myself, much less install it on the table.

Also, this package comes with instructions for putting the basic saw together, and separate instructions for putting on the sliding table. DO NOT start with the instructions for putting the basic saw together like I did. After I spent three hours getting the front and rear rails on and level, I had to completely disassemble EVERYTHING because the sliding table has a bunch of parts that must go on first. If you begin assembly following the instructions for installing the sliding table, you will get it right the first time.

Miter Saws Review Well worth the price!
I installed a Pergo Select floor in my living and dining room--approximately 275 square feet with a lot of cuts. Needless to say, I wanted the best blade I could find. Pergo suggested a carbide tipped, 60 - 80 blade. At first, I turned away from the Dewalt because of the price. After spending over $1500 on the floor, I really did not feel like spending another [price] on the blade. Therefore, I shopped around and around. Then I came back to the Dewalt. I figured why not. They offer a thirty day money back policy and the specs. were right on with what Pergo suggested.
I must say, the cuts from this blade are as good as the factory cuts on the Pergo flooring. After cutting dozens of boards, I have yet to see one chip on either the usable floor or the waste. As far as I am concerned, it was money well spent.
Moreover, it chews through other material such as birch and oak with ease. I would highly recommend this blade to anyone searching to do fine woodworking. I can't imange finding a blade that offers better cuts--over and over and over again. That is all I have to say.

Miter Saws Review Quality at savings!
OK, so this isn't a Forrest with an ultra-quiet action. But that doesn't mean it shreaks and whines, either.

Kerf is 1/8" plus your run-out. Teeth are 4 ATB followed by a raker. The racker doesn't quite come to the same height as the ATB teeth, so you wind up with a cut that looks something like a V with the bottom angle flattened out. Or, if you like, a W without the center peak. Not a problem on through cuts, but for groove or rebate cuts you won't get a flat bottom in the groove.

The only negative I've seen is that on rips, you don't quite get a no-sand cut. But then, this is a combo blade, right?

For cross-cuts, I don't notice any difference between this and the DeWalt smooth cross-cut blade. I also don't notice any difference with the Forrest, either, other than this is just a tad louder. No burn. No overload. No wobble. No warp. No vibration.

Sharpening is perhaps a problem right now, as there are no local shops that deal with DeWalt's blade angles. Of course, they're willing to regrind to something close but a little different. I'm not willing to gamble that I'll get the same results however, so Iv'e just sent mine off through the mail to the national DeWalt sharpening service. Ordered a second one so I'll have it to use while the first is being resharpened.

I can't find any disappointments with this blade. It will slice a 1/32 sliver off either side with no breakage. Provided its a cross-cut, there's no sanding needed, either. (YMMV; a quality table saw with minimum run-out, splitter and highly tuned fence will always affect your bottom line).
