Variable teeth works better than expectedI bought this blade to replace a dulling Oldham 60-tooth that kicked back so badly that it deflected the blade far enough out that the teeth caught and jammed on the blade guard. Thankfully, I can still count to 10 with my hands...
I was skeptical of the variable tooth design and the miraculous claims, but it was reasonably priced and the salesman recommended it so I gave it a shot. I expected it to be a compromise blade: not cut as smoothly as an 80-tooth, or be able to chew through lumber like a 24-tooth.
Now I'll concede that it is much sharper than the old blade, but I have to say that I think the claims are accurate. It's made very clean cuts, rapidly chews through 4 x 4's, and it's actually quieter than the old blade (which rang like a bell).
I've only had it for a month, but I'm very satisfied so far. With the carbide teeth, I expect to get about the same life out of it as I've gotten with other carbide blades.
The only downside of this blade is that it cannot easily be re-sharpened (because of the variable spacing/angles). But I'm more of a "Harry Homeowner" than an "Al Borland", so I can afford to just toss it and get a new one when it wears out in a few years.

Trim saw bladeThe 120 tooth blade handles 1/2 inch Russian Birch plywood like a laser through butter. I use the blades exclusively in cabinet making and find that this 4 1/2 blade is the best for clean precise cuts. Always remember to score your cuts with a utility knife first and there is virtually no rip out.If you are cutting plexiglass or plastics always use a sharp and very clean blade. Cleaning with one of the new 'orange' based producsts is best.
Remember to unplug the saw when doing any adjustments.

Very satisfied with this really great bladeI picked up this blade on clearance somewhere for $20 if I remember correctly, and now I see just how great a deal it was since they're listed here for $75. I use the blade in my 5000rpm Ryobi miter saw (which is a great saw). The two combined are fantastic and I've been very happy with the performance and results of the blade. As it says-- it makes fast cuts but also makes them nice and smooth. Just keep in mind if you purposely jam it hard into the wood it'll cut seriously fast but might have a little bit of tear on soft woods. Cutting just a bit slower will still be plenty fast but give great results on finish and framing lumber.

Great BladeWhen I first put this blade on I had a bunch of treated sleepers to rip to fit the slope of the floor, I thought it was a miracle blade. It sliced through with so little effort. Quite possibly the best 7 1/4" thin kerf saw blade I have used. Your power saw is only as good as the blade you put on it, this blade is as good as it gets.

Good detail bladeThis blade goes through plywood like butter. I had to rip some plywood and this blade not only went through very quickly, but with very little splintering. Definately worth the money.

BEST BLADE AROUND FOR METAL RIBBED SIDINGFINALLY! SOMETHING THAT REALLY WORKS ON METAL SIDING AND ROOFING.I RECENTLY RE-ROOFED MY HOUSE IN METAL AND HAVE TRIED ALL DIFFERENT TYPES AND BRANDS OF SAW BLADES TO CUT THE METAL. THEY ALL SEEMED TO BIND AND LOAD UP. THIS ONE CUT EFFORTLESSLY!NO BIG BURRS OR HEAT DISTORTION EITHER. A LOT CHEAPER THAN A $400 DEDICATED SAW. I HAVE BUILT QUITE A FEW METAL BUILDINGS AND THIS BLADE IS THE ONLY ONE I'M GOING USE FOR THAT PURPOSE. IT'S STILL NOISY, BUT THE NOISE DOESN'T LAST AS LONG, AS THE SAWING GOES SO MUCH FASTER AND EASIER.

Perhaps the nicest PC cordless tool Ive seenI own just about all the PC 19.2v tools. I bought the 643 about a year ago and was immediately impressed with the excellent quality. There is nothing about this tool that is less functional or worse than an top-end corded jigsaw - no compromises were made in making it cordless.
The cuts are clean and accurate, the battery life is actually really good, and the adjustable orbit makes it useful on different materials. The blade really does change out instantly - a nice secure mechanism that works great. The tool has a solid feel and every adjustment is a pleasure to make.
Once you have put one of these in your hands you will want one even if you don't really use a jigsaw that often. It's actually been a much more useful tool than I expected, and being cordless you just tend to reach for it much more often than you would think.
I don't understand why PC is only selling this without a battery, charger, or case; it seems silly not to at least offer the same item with the accessories so that those who are new to PC tools could buy this one first without having to order the other stuff at the same time. Mine did not come with the case either. Lame. If I didn't love the tool so much I'd have to ding them one star for that.

#1 problem solverI've had this for about a year. I've used it to demolish a few walls, a shed, knock out door casings and rip out conduit and duct work. Anytime there is wood nailed together that needs to be removed, this is my first choice of weapon. I've never found the 9 amp to be lacking for power. Blade changes are easy. Before I bought this, I wasn't sure how much I would actually use it. Now, a year later, I'm really glad I bought it because it has become my number one problem solver.

Best jig/saber saw I have ever usedThe accuaracy of cuts, ease of blade replacement earn five stars from any tradesman who has every used this type of tool.
Mine was stolen, my neglience, for leaving it visible while quoting an add-on to the job. I bought a Dewalt for a replacement and there is no comparison. I am buying another Porter-Cable period. I use Dewalt 19 volt cordless tools exclusively and I am delighted. But I have to go back to my "shop tool" brand for this type of saw. SORRY DeWALT but in this specific instance you just don't measure up!!!
