ALL PRO TOOLS - beats pricing on Bosch
NO boundarys ,NO equal,BRUTE TOUGH.I got this kit about a week ago.I am satisfied. The drill has 475 foot pounds of torque(the most in its class),2 speeds,15 clutch setings,A 1/2"racheting chuck, uni body powertrain, steel reinforced collar,dura-shield exterior housing and, plenty of POWER.It will take a 1/2"masonry bit through 21/2"of concrete in less than 2 minutes.I can put a 3"holesaw on and drill through a 1"piece of red oak in a snap.If you push to hard it will stall, but eventually you'll learn how much pressure you can put on it.It handles wood and metal with no problem. The saw has plenty of torque and power. It cuts 2x4's 4x4's in just seconds. It will even cut dense hard maple with out stopping.I chose this kit over others because it ofered more features ,and so I wouldn't have to buy an electric drill and saw as well.I would recommend Bosch over the others any day. From what my experience and other reviews have told me ,Bosch lives up to their name.

Good Tool With a Good Foot PrintI wanted a good table saw with better good collection, and a good fence. Like all of you, I looked in the woodworking magazines, reviews on Amazon.com, talked to my friends and looked at saws in the store. I chose this one. Also I have one car space of my garage for woodworking. Mostly I don't make wide rips, so a 30" rip capability meets my needs.
I purchased the saw from Amazon. I picked it up at the ABS freight terminal. Unloading this beast was not the chore I thought it would be. I used two 8' 2x12s as ramps, and my wife, son and I unloaded it from my truck (2 pushed the saw down the ramp and one worked on the down hill side to keep it from getting away).
I was able to move the cabinet off the pallet and onto the mobility base using the 1x3 southern yellow pine pieces delta used for packaging support. The rest of the assembly went well. The instructions were straightforward, with may be a couple of steps omitted, and the fence instructions referenced some bolts, that were not supplied. I purchased bolts referenced, and found that the head was proud of the angle iron support. I used the ones supplied and they worked fine. After assembly, the fence was a bit out of parallel with the blade and needed to be adjusted. The adjustment was simple, and my cuts are quite nice.
Some of the reviews mention the flatness (or lack there of) of the table. I checked the top with my tri-square ruler, and its not perfectly flat. However it is flat enough for square cuts.
The few I have a few complaints. I would have preferred a 2nd cast iron wing. The miter gage is not so hot (but no one expects it to be). I plan to buy an aftermarket gage. The splitter and blade guard are annoying to remove for non-through cuts, and the rear support for the splitter/guard gets in the way of out feed support.
I found an article on the WoodCentral web site that showed a couple of ideas how to modify stock guard/splitter to make it easier to remove and preserve the guard (the URL is http://woodcentral.com/cgi-bin/readarticle.pl?dir=powertools&file=articles_234.shtml). With this modification the splitter/guard is nice and I think it meets my needs.
I make a bookshelf out of plywood and oak using this saw. When reducing the plywood I found the height of the saw was good for manhandling the sheet. I also see the attraction of a 50" fence. However I don't use much plywood and the footprint of this saw leaves a room to move in my one car woodworking space.
I was pleasantly surprised about the handles. Some of the reviews lead me to believe that they were cheesy. They are made of cast iron, and have a solid feel. I like `um.
I have used this saw to make 2 projects and some jigs. The cuts are oo-so fine. The dust collection works like a champ (for the dust in the cabinet). The 2 wrench blade change is nice. The on-saw storage is OK. The table board is nice, the lamination is slick and level enough with the cast iron table.

Shoulda bought it soonerI bought this saw as a replacement for my Powermatic 63 after I couldn't get replacement parts from Powermatic since the saw is no longer made. I looked at the Grizzly and the Shop Fox but given my Powermatic 63 parts experience I didn't want to go through that again and with free shipping on the Unisaw the price difference wasn't as big anymore. Why not get the original and skip the potential headaches? The first unisaw was made in the late 1930's and parts for most of the versions can be had with minimal trouble.
From the moment I fired it up for the first time, it's been the best woodworking purchase I've ever made. The motor fires up instantly and is so stable. I haven't done the nickel test, but I don't think I need to. I'm using a Woodworker II and between the saw and this blade, it's a winning combination. The motor doesn't slow at all no matter what I throw at it.
I also recommend the Delta mobile base. I used the HTC base on the Powermatic and the Delta blows it away, no rocking or needing to turn the feet down by hand to stabilize the saw after rolling to a location, just hit the foot pedal and start sawing.

Excellent Purchase!I am so thrilled with the purchase of this saw. I never would have thought that I would be ordering a saw from Amazon.com! But I have built up such a trust with them with many book purchases that I decided to take the chance!
This saw has everything I need at a price I could afford. I researched for several weeks before making this purchase. In the past with the older saws that I have it would take anywhere from 2-5 min, or longer if something went amiss to reset for each setup for fretwork, with this saw it takes a mere few seconds. This saw is heaven !!
My first Scroll SawI am in the process of getting ready to retire. My plan is not to hibernate but to stay active, and keep my mind in good shape. I hit on the idea of a scroll saw last summer and have spent the months searching for the best one for me. I decided on the Delta 40-570 because of it's size and features. I am a machinist by trade, and enjoy working with high quality tools. This saw will provide me with the opportunity to fulfill my desires during my retirement. I enjoy working with wood and plan to build things for my house and grandkids.

you've Tried the Rest , Now try the BestI believe the circular saw combo kit is a very good machine.
Taking proper care of your circular is very important also.It can do wonders for you each time you start a new project. caring for your blades will make the cutting job a lot easier and smoothier too!

Can't do without it!If you are looking for a package that can do it all this is the one for you. The battery life is great considering the power it puts out. This is not a toy but rather a very serious tool. You probably can spend less but you truly get what you pay for in this little black box. The hammerdrill capability is wonderful and I was a bit sceptic that I could actually have a cordless masonry tool that actually can do the job. The chuck tightens the bits with more power than I have ever seen. The bit never slips even in tough situations. Dewalt is a great name and they have raised the mark with this tool. It has enough power for the tough jobs without the big weight of going 24v.

Satin Smooth FinishThe first time I used this blade, I couldn't believe the outcome. Every time since then it still amazes me. Glass Smoth finishes.. So smoth, that on several occasions, I had to scuff up the surface to provide the glue something to grab onto - it's almost TOO SMOOTH! Don't use for ripping, it strains the machine and can burn your stock.

Sweet SawSmooth is the word here ...... soft starts, and no bogging down with the electronic motor control. Dead on right out of the box. Nice cutting capacities ......... will do the vast majority of what a SCMS will do for a lot less money. Easy to carry despite its size- handle is in just the right spot. Highly recommended.
Happy with my Makita RLS1220The Makita was delivered in six days. Everything was in excellant condition. I have had no problems with the saw and I love it! The larger size blade is exactly what I need in order to cross cut the various sizes of lumber I am working with. I believe the 12" saw will work better than the sliding 10" compound Makita. I encourage anyone who would go with a 10" to step up to the 12" blade.

Buy this saw- NOW.I don't need to mention the quality and reliability of Milwaukee products. It goes without saying. But I want to mention the unbelievable service. I was given this reconditioned saw a few weeks ago as a gift. It was in near mint condition with all of the accessories, case, and blade intact. I noticed that there was a fdeep scratch in the shoe, so I called the service number for advice about either grinding it out or getting a replacement. To make a long story short, they immediately sent me a replacement shoe UPS no questions asked. Whereas some companies would have made me bring the saw back for this minor glitch, Milwaukee stepped up to the plate and got the issue resolved in the most expeditious manner possible. Based on this treatment, I will not hesitate to purchase Milwaukee products in the future. By the way, the thing works perfectly, and the tilt-lok feature is incredibly handy- I'm left handed and any leverage advantage I can get is much appreciated!
Rip awayOutstanding value compared to other products with such robust specs as 7 " blade and 3 HP. I didn't feed it anything overly massive - standard 2x4 pine, oak, some plywood and mdf - which didn't even give it a pause. The cuts were clean - which was not expected with the standard blade. Repeated use was not laborious with the overall light weight and handle design. Well balanced and everything in the right place - this from a history of B&D and Dewalt loyalty and use. Biggest job change was a bit more safety and attention required with the lack of electric break. Five stars because it does everything I asked of it.

Siding plus plastic laminateI have used my PC siding cutters on cement siding for which it was designed and last night I discovered a new use...cutting plastic laminate. I noticed an ad for a plastic laminate cutter and saw how closely the cutters resembled the PC. I tried it and discovered that if I have the back side up, it does a terrific job.
It does a first class job on siding with no dust filling the air, not the best choice for very straight lines but great for general cutting.

porter cable fiber cement shearI have owned this fiber cement shear long enough to realize that it's a quality tool. The design is nearly flawless, effortless to use, can cut dead straight "bad joint quality". The tool will cut gentle arcs if need be. It raises no dust at all and the blades are extremely durable. It's variable speed allows the user to slow down for a "cut out". I've owned other brands of shears, some costing a hundred dollars more, and none holds a candle to this tool.

Excellent kit, no secure storageThis is a very versatile tool. The drill will drive tapcons into concrete just as well as a corded drill and the cordless sawsall is convenient and handy. I would have given the combo kit 5 stars except for the case that the tools come in. There isn't any secure storage. I transferred all of my bits from my old Dewalt drill into the new case. I then stood the case up only to hear all of my paddle bits fall to the bottom of the case. If they would change the case to have secure storage as they do in the drill only case, this would deserve 5 stars.
combo kits versus buying separateAlthough I am very pleased with Dewalt, and Amazon's prompt service, I can't help to mention that Dewalt combo kits may be more expensive than buying separate. You see, each Dewalt battery costs approximately $80, and the chargers are about $70. In the combo kits you get two batteries and one charger. If you were to buy separately, you would get two batteries and a charger for each tool. If you add that up and compare to the price of a combo kit, you might make out better buying separately. Just a thought.
Better and BetterI recently purchased this kit for work as a suppliment to the other dewalt 18 volt tools that I have. I have always been pleased with the performance of my dewalt tools, but when I got this particular drill I was thrilled to see that they had made the bit storage that is on the tool big enough to accomidate two 3 inch magnetic extensions. With this addition I can keep the bits that I use the most right on my drill and not have to always keep a box of tips close.
I am glad to see that dewalt is continuing to update their products.

Also, I bought the Plung Router for $229., they have it for 219. same same.
What can you do about this.
