RECIPROCATING SAW

Saws A Lot. It's not the pro--strength reciprocating saw with the catchy name, but when you're only going to use it a couple of times a year, this is a nice alternative.
The American Tool Group saw is 16--3/4" long OA, weighs 5. 8 lbs, and is 110 VAC/700 watts. It draws 6 amps on start, and about 2--1/4 amps at 2300 rpm no-load.
It has a locking trigger and a 1--1/8" throw, and comes with a hex key and (1) standard 6" saw blade. The blade is for use on wood and has (7) teeth per inch.
Sounds like as much power as you're going to need.

the first time i use it it broke .and i try to email them but i dont get any email back for them .neck to know that will sel you a pice of junk and make very hard of you to get your money back dont buy for this people not worth to time

Do not purchase this saw

I recently purchased this saw from Home Depot. The reason I purchased this was because of the warranty offered, and to compare it to the DeWalt 703. The reason I do not suggest purchasing this tool is because the saw is very loud. Ear plugs are a must with this saw. The other reason not to purchase this saw is because the laser does not align with the cut of the blade. Another reason is because the arm is not stable. You can accutually wiggle the arm which will make your cut off. Good price, bad qulity. They still need to work the flaws out of this saw. I took the saw back and purchased the DeWalt 703. I own several different brands of miter saws and for everyday use with no specialty crown, the DeWalt 703 is the best in its class. You can add the Irwin laser to this saw and it is DEAD ON!

Forget the storage case

I bought this saw just to have a handy second saw in the garage. I figured the storage case would be handy, as it would be on the shelf most of the time. The storage case is pathetic. It takes longer to figure out how to put the saw back into the case than it does to go out to the shop and get my other saw. I'd give the case a negative star, the saw is about a 2 star.
