Power Tools Review Highly flexible and versatile
Superb design and so easy to configure to save your fingers, hand and work. Ripping thin pieces is a dream with this tool. Not cheap, but how much are your fingers worth?? PLUS, it grips both sides of the wood THROUGH the saw blade so no marks or uneven cuts as the material goes through, especially at the end of the rip.
Highly recommend this tool. It's a bit intimidating at first with so many different configurations being possible. But, you'll appreciate the simple captive design once you use it a few times. Get this product!

Power Tools Review Great table saw safety system
I love my gripper. It would be ashame to call it a "push block", because it is so much more than that. Besides a simple push block, it is a versitile jig and cut improvement system. It acts as splitter as well. I'd recomment getting two for longer cuts.

Power Tools Review Very nice drill
I was searching Lowe's and found this drill. It is truly a good bargain. It is very powerful and the charger is great. I also got a free flashlight with it. If you are simple do-it yourselfer, this drill should have all the power that you need.

Power Tools Review Dan Sorenson, Builder
This drill rocks! I have owned three other cordless 14.4 volt drills and this one outshines them all. There really is no comparison. I don't have the words. Feel, power, longevity, co-worker fascination, smoothness, quietness, ... did I mention power (?). It has plenty of all you need. Definately no need for an 18 volt, or any other volt for that matter. I especially love the all volt charger you get with it as I own other Hitachi cordless drills. If it has a flaw it's the case, but I'll deal with it!

Power Tools Review Great value
I purchased this drill to supplement my larger Makita model. I'm an amateur woodworker with a passion for power tools. After much research, reading and deliberation, I chose this Hitachi over several other brands. This just seemed like too good of a deal to pass up and I was right.

Popular WoodWorking magazine raved about these inexpensive Hitachi drills and now I know why. I've had the tool for 3 weeks and used it for several projects and I'm not dissapointed. It has much more power than you might expect, given it's small footprint and light weight. It fits into my hand like a good tool should and it's fun to use. This drill replaced an older 9.6 DeWalt which I didn't really care for. All in all, considering the price, power, quality manufacturing and the great flashlight, this purchase was a great value. I love it when I feel like I got a lot for my money.

Power Tools Review I'm impressed!!!
I bought this kit for the reciprocating saw. To say I was skeptical about the circular saw would be an understatement. I can honestly say I'm impressed. The recriprocating saw didn't dissappoint, and the circular saw was used to build a deck. It took on 4x4's and 2x8's without binding. The batteries were quick to charge and held the charge for many cuts.

Though it wasn't designed to be a 115v plug in saw, it has plenty of power and is handy as a pocket on your shirt.

Power Tools Review Ultimate cordless
I have the Dewalt 24 Volt saw and sawsall, they worked good for the first six months, after that I could not depend on them to go on jobs with me without wired tools as back up. I have had the Hitachi combo for few months and they are much better tools than the dewalt 24 volts. The saw has the biggest blade on the market( 7 1/4 "), it weighs less than my Porter cable electric saw, and it is very comfortable to use. It has a luminated cutting area also, it comes in handy when you are working indoors.
The sawsall is very compact and powerful, you can control the speed thru the trigger. The price of these tools are cheaper than the Dewalts and they are superior tools.
P.S. The Hitachi Green is a nice break from the yellow, red, and grey colored tools out there.

Power Tools Review Hitachi Pneumatic Nailer
Although Hitachi's prices are higher than most other tool companies, their products tend to last longer. This nailer is no exception. It is by far one of the better nailers on the market and the cost is worth while. It holds up much longer than lesser brands and its performance is second to none.

Power Tools Review Great little clamp with lots of power
I have had this clamp for a while and I use it all the time for securing boards while routing, clamping on guides and jigs as well as temporary faces on my table saw fence. It is a great size and has plenty of holding power to fit most needs.

This clamp is easier to carry around and use when compared with the heavy duty version.

Power Tools Review have plenty
One of the essentials when setting up a shop. You need multiples of all sizes. The Jorgensen along with the Pony pipe clamps are my favorites. They are easy to set up and use, they hold the piece tight and with the rubber pads they don't mar the wood. They also make a 24" and above with a ratcheting system (very nice). You can't go wrong with Jorgensen.

Power Tools Review Say Goodbye To The Traditional Pocket Knife
There is no reason to carry a pocket knife as a "all in one tool" these days. In days of old people carried pocket knives and used them as multi purpose tools because there was nothing else. It wasn't uncommon to see pocket knives with broken or chipped blades because the owner used them for everthing from screwdrivers to prybars.

At one time, I did the same thing. I once had a Buck pocket knife fold up on my index finger while using it as a screwdriver. It went nearly to the bone just below my knuckle. Oddly, my first thought was "This is going to hurt when I pull the blade out". I was right, it did. I left a blood trail that Stevie Wonder could follow.

Those days are long gone. Today, many of the name brand knife manufacturers make a "multi-purpose tool". The King of the multi-purpose tool mountain is the Super Tool 200 by Leatherman.

My primary job is a self-employed home inspector and I can't tell you how useful this tool is. So much so that I gave all my inspectors one for Christmas last year.

I find myself carrying this tool everywhere. Camping, fishing and around the house. You'll wonder as I do how you ever got along in the world without one. I'd sooner leave my cell phone or tool bag at home than forget my Leatherman.

I've used it for cutting nails and wires, used both screwdrivers, the awl for poking into suspicous looking wood, the needle noses to pull splinterrs and slivers out of my hand, repaired small engines, disassembled fishing reels on the lake and a ton of other things I wouldn't have been able to do with a pocket knife.

Leatherman's are sturdy tools. I've seen a number of knockoffs that were made of stamped sheet metal and were flimsy when handled. I don't have that worry with my Super Tool 200!

When purchasing a Leatherman, get the leather sheath if you can. I love mine and it has 'molded' itself around my Leatherman and fits like a glove. I guess I'm from the old school, I prefer leather over nylon sheaths.

Don't get me wrong. I still love my pocket knives. However, since the Leatherman came along the get used less and less.

Good Luck and go get a Leatherman, you won't regret it!

Power Tools Review A solid tool
If you have ever owned a leatherman you know how useful they are. They are always updating thier product to make sure they are they best. I particularly liked the locking feature of all the tools; no more do you have to worry about a screwdriver or knife folding up as you're trying to use it. This is a well made product.

Power Tools Review Great beam planer
I have used this planer to trim down pressure treated rafters to match older beams when doing roof repairs after Hurricanes. The unit is heavy but very easily controlled. Plenty of power and precise adjustment make this a great tool when you need the extra width but can't use a stationary planer!

Power Tools Review Big Hand Planer For Big Jobs
This was expensive, but it really does the job. It was a lot bigger than I imagined, and is heavy too, but is easy to control and the depth adjustment is very presice. I use it to plane down wide table tops, made of boards that is glued together. It works great. The trick is to take very small bites with each cut. Then you can just move the planer back and forth leaving it rest on the wood. If you try to lift it up after each cut you'll wear out your arms. I go cross-grain first to take out the warp and width differences, then with the grain for the final finish. The results are very good -- hardly any sanding is needed. I ordered an additional set of blades for $31 from a local dealer since they weren't availalbe from Amazon.

Power Tools Review Awesome Drill
Balance feels great...Has plenty of power, 1/2 " chuck, easy to tighten with one hand. Bought this a few weeks ago, and the kit came with upgraded batteries, from 2.6 mha to 3.0 with L.E.D.'s attatched and swivel out so that you can see in the dark. Comes with the handle...overall very happy with it, used it to drill 3" deckmate screws into trex with no problems and great control...feels like an 18 volt with the weight of a 14.4v. What can I say its the best drill used. Will keep everyone posted with any updates or new opinions.

Power Tools Review finally some torque! Watch out Dewalt!
I recently bought this drill to complement the 14.4 makita impact driver that I recently purchased. The drill they give as a bonus while nice, only has 350 in lbs of torque where this drill has 450. the difference is noticeable when you are boring holes for pipes and wires! This drill will spin a 2and 9/16 inch self feed bit no problem! There is a 3 speed gearbox, and a drill to driver switch that locks out the clutch, allowing you to save your desired clutch setting but turn it off for drilling operations. tne case is large enough for the drill and my impact driver and the NIMH batteries really do have better run time than any Ni cad. Get this drill, you wont be sorry!

Power Tools Review FAVORITE TOOL
I have had a makita 9.6 volt impact driver for five years and it is my favorite tool. I am involved in home construction and remodeling and use it all the time. I use a lot of deck screws to reduce the shock to surrounding walls in remodeling and the driver will send them through double 2x4's if you keep the trigger down. When I built a computer room for my daughter she loved it. I am ordering this one for her. GREAT TOOL!

Power Tools Review From sheet metal to sheet plywood
This is truely my most used power tool both at work and home. At work I use it for driving tech screws in light and heavy gauge sheet metal and at home I use it for carpentry and general home improvement. My father who builds cabinet had his reservations about using a power screw driver based on his results using a cordless drill (over tightening/stripping.) I gave him a new impact driver as a gift and based on his raving about it I wouldn't be suprised if my brother received one for Christmas. If you purchase one remember it is an IMPACT DRIVER and not a DRILL. I witness a lot of people purchasing the drill chuck adapter and trying to use it as a drill.
