Power Tools Review I Love it
I love this impact. It is a great size, and the power of it is remarkable. I only wish I had bought it long ago. Having two batteries is a plus. You never run out of power when you need it.

Power Tools Review Ultra-Awesome-Super-Tool is here!
I build racing engines for a living and in our shop we have two of these beauties. We use them so much we often change batteries several times a day. No more speed wrenches or rachets. Just one of these and a torque wrench and you are set. Don't know how I could get by without it now.

Power Tools Review surprised !
After using a Dewalt 18 xrp for the last 2 years, I bought this drill after the dewalt "walked" off on a job. I have really been surprised with this drills performance, it is stronger than my dewalt and the batteries last quiet a bit longer. The makita has performed flawlessly for me the first 6 months now and has exceeded my expectations which was to be at least as good as my old trusty dewalt. This is a professional grade tool!

Power Tools Review Best on the market
The makita 18 volt hammer drill is the best drill you can buy. I am an electrical contractor and have bought many of the yellow ones and the red ones but after using them every working day for 8 years we have our opinions. The battrey life is twice as long. It has more power. It is constucted better than the others and when its operating it doesn't feel like its going to fall apart. Makita started the cordless craze and their batteries used to last 7 years and cost only $30 Now some batteries last 2 years and cost $80 to replace! One test is worth a thousand expert opinions so go for it. Sid Sutherland, Sutherland Electric,Brush Prairie, WA

Power Tools Review A Half Pint of Dynamite
This grinder does it all without breaking a sweat.
I make custom kitchen knives for fun, which means hours of cutting and shaping on extremely hard ATS-34 steel. My li'l Makita eats that stuff like spaghetti, leaving lesser contraptions reaching for the Tagamet.
The only gripe I have is the short cutting reach, but that's not really an issue for anything short of 1" thick wrought iron. The positive side is that control is no problem, which is pretty extroardinary given the power of this little devil.
Five years of long running times and impossible materials haven't even fazed this grinder. Get yourself one, already.

Power Tools Review Great grinder
This is a great tool. I've used it a few times working on mytruck. The included wheel goes through metal like it was nothing. Atfirst I was a little wary of getting a 4" grinder (instead of a4.5" or 5" model), but I'm glad I have the 4" -- it isboth smaller and lighter than comparable Milwaukee and DeWaltgrinders. This is a big plus when lying on your back under a truck --I don't want a big heavy grinder at that point. And, @ 11,000 RPM andplenty of torque, this thing never bogs down.

I really like havingcases for my tools, too. I'm not a professional builder, so my toolsaren't in constant use. So, when they're sitting on the shelf forweeks at a time, I like the cover. The cases also make it much easierfor me to transport my tools. If you're a pro, then cases probablydon't matter much, since you probably already have a big toolboxand/or work truck to house all of your tools. ...

Power Tools Review Got it, used it, love it!!
Well, after reading all the reviews and checking them out in person at local suppliers, I bought the Makita AN611. Sweet!!!!

It's about 1 pound lighter than the Bostitch, makes it easier to carry and use. It load easily and operating it is quite easy. I was especially impressed with the ability to adjust the depth setting of the nails without needing a tool. I'm working with cedar. I drove a few and make my adjustment and drove some more. No muss, no fuss.

Love a tool that lives up to it's billing. Mine cost $350. at a local supplier. For that amount of money, when I'm done I can resell it for 50% and feel great.

Power Tools Review Great Tool
I am a general contractor and have been using this tool on a house I am currently building. I decide on a coil nailer because it was going to be used primarily for nailing off shear and flooring. It came down to this one or the Max nailer and I chose this one because it is lighter the max by almost a pound. It is well balanced and has more than enough power to do anything I have asked it to do. I find myself using it to do a lot of framing I would normally do by hand and even with a full coil of 16d nails, it is light enough to use for extended periods of time. Highly recommended.

Power Tools Review Excellent condition with prompt delivery
The tool I ordered arrived in very short time with very good condition. Thank you!

Power Tools Review just bought my 2nd
My crew killed 2 Bosch drills today- expensive day.

We do buildings that reqire a lot of screws. I've not tried the competitors as I'm a fan of Makita, but this driver is great. Quick change of bits, good power although my Bosch 18 had more power. It will occasionally snap a phillips bit, but IT WON'T SPIN and strip out a phillips screw/bit- tremendous! Nut drivers are best if the screws work for you. LED is great as the sun sets, gets you another 1/2 hr of work time.

Light- very easy to work over your head and fully extended on a ladder. Impact has not torque so one can extend fully or work off a ladder with no worry of it twisting out of your hand- or worse. 2 hours of constant use driving sheetrock size screws/ 1/2 hr. for a charge. no down time.

Pricey!!!!
Finally - a place to keep the many various bits, and plenty of room at that. Good belt hook, even better given that it is 1/2 the weight of a similar capable dill. keeps your pants on your hips. That and a free 18 volt drill (no batterys though)

Buy one- you won't be disapointed

Power Tools Review Best I've used
I've had the BTD140 impact driver for 2 months now, and it is great. Couple of it's best features: small and light so it is easy to hold and get in tight places; LED light so you can see your work; no torque on your wrist; battery charges very fast; powerful - will shatter cheap bits, buy a good set particularly if you are driving tapcons, etc.

Power Tools Review Light and powerfull!
This impact driver is awesome. Lightweight, no torque on the wrist. A bit loud when the hammer kicks in. And a free hammer drill! Amazon rules.

Power Tools Review Its not your typical cordless combo
I have had Makita tools over the years. I did try DeWalt for about a year and I am back to stay with Makita. I just purchased my combo a week ago and I am extremely pleased. Pound for pound you cant beat this set. Everything you need is there. The only tool you need for this kit is the allen wrench for the cir saw. I am a handyman by trade. I do everything to replace water pipes, install doors and windows, build fencing and decking. This kit is the way to go.

Power Tools Review dependable quality
I am tired of replacing dewalt tools after breaking them. makita has served me well with quality and ease of use. great products.

Power Tools Review Tileman likes
I am a tile installer and I have to remove tile all the time for prep. This tool is great for tile removal, I have used one for about 3 years now and it is still going strong. I actually use to remove tile by hammer and chisel, not no more. This is even better then renting one of those pneumactic tile removers that you hook up to a air compressor. I use this in conjunction with the Bosch concrete grinder and WOW, you would not believe how fast you can get tile up and grind down the thinset. Great product.

Power Tools Review A great timesaver
I bought the Makita to help in renovating a remuddled kitchen. I wanted to clear the stove/sink wall of poorly installed ceramic tiles which looked daunting if done by hammer and chisel. Much to my surprise, using the Makita, I was done remarkably fast...with a bonus of it being enjoyable. The tool is comfortable to hold and of reasonable weight. In fact I was done before any fatigue set in. The variable speed trigger gave me very exacting control of chisel penetration and minimized wall damage. Eye and ear protection of course is a must. I'm now considering the bathroom. For removing tile it excels.

Power Tools Review Glad I bought it.
I bought this tool as a homeowner to remove large amounts of slab, fence footings and digging clay. I wanted to do a little at a time since there was alot of work to be done as opposed to renting a larger brute 60 lb. at the rental center.
I compared this to the bosch and dewalt SDS hammers and couldn't find any info on what thickness concrete these hammers could remove. I took a look at both hammers at homeless depot and the sales people at several stores couldn't answer my question. Neither could the bosch tech line. So I went with the heavier 1 1/8 bits just to be sure, glad I did. This hammer excells with 4" slab, I have used it to break up to 8" but it takes longer and you wind up with more rubble than chunks. I think I would have been dissapointed with the SDS hammers for my use. You don't want to be sweeping up concrete pebbles and dust. You do want this think to cut 25lb chunks. The others had more options like variable impact but that doesn't seem to matter. I bought a makita 1" demo hammer to take care of tile and scrape floors.
Have been very satisfied with this tool and glad I went with this choice. Wish I had bought it sooner since I seem to use it all the time. I hesitated with the price but it is worth the time and labor saved.

Power Tools Review A great tool for back-breaking work!
I'm a General Contractor building 200 to 1000sq' additons and buying and flipping houses. In my area it's about $190 to rent a air jack for the day + time giong to the rental yard and back + still having to pay rental fees when rained out + kick my rear trying to get done fast and return the rental and p-off the neighbors with the noise! The Makita 1304 is a great tool for me, it's paid for it's self verses renting! Granted it is a little slower than air but I like being able to hug my honey at the end of the day, use the tool at my will, Jackhammer side wall if nessisary, and not p-off the neighbors with noise! The first time I used the Makita 1304 it seamed slow busting the first piece untill I saw it was over 8" thick, but on 4-6" it busts through great, not to heavy, not to noisy,a great tool I highly recommend. I bought a long point bit and it puts the tool at the perfect hight so you back won't blow out (a big plus with the little Lady). The tool comes with a metal storage box thats surprizingly small for a big tool and still has room to store a couple bits. It's a Great Tool for a hard job.

Power Tools Review Not as Cracked UP
This sander is clearly meant for a left handed operator. The support inside the dust bag is in the way for a right handed person. I had the misfortune of buying this reconditioned from Makita and honestly it looks more Used than reconditioned. Twice before I have bought Reconditioned tools from DeWalt and they both were delivered as practically brand new. Not so with this Makita. I believe that I may return it and go for the Porter Cable. Even though the PC is heavier the ergonomics seem better for me.

Power Tools Review Wonderful sander
Nice and light, and the 4" width is great for leveling 4" wide lumber. Dust collection is better than average. I love the belt tracking adjustment and the variable speed. Slow speed is almost like hand blocking, high speed really takes off lots of material. I've had it about a year now. The other 4 X 24 belt sander that I have used is the Porter Cable 362, but it weighs 20 pounds and it's like sanding with a Buick. Don't even think about using the Porter Cable on a vertical surface. The makita weighs about 8 pounds I think. Only improvement would be to include a case, but none of the belt sanders that I looked at had a case. The 9404 is hard to find in stores, I had to order it from Tool Crib. You won't be dissapointed. If you want a really light and mobile sander, the 5 pound Makita 9911 can't be beat, but it uses 3X18 belts and I like the 4" width. Makita belt sanders seem quieter than most.

Power Tools Review Best yet
This is the best belt sander I have used. It is not too heavy and is easy to control. I use the variable speed control so that I can control just how much it is sanding or taking off, great feature.
