Useful adapter for round shank bitsI bought a Snappy Tool set at a woodworking show. I had buyers remorse over the $100+ purchase not long after leaving. What was I thinking? $100+ for a bunch of drill bits? I'm here to tell you that it may have been expensive, but that set of drill bits, drivers, and plug cutters is probably THE most used purchase I've ever brought home from a woodworking show. I use it in EVERY project, whether driving my McFeely's or hex-headed screws, or drilling countersunk holes, or cutting tapered plugs... You name it, I've used it. All except the two adapters that came with the set, one of which was this 3/8" adapter. I could never imagine a use for it, so it just sat in my bit pouch. Then one day, as I was changing back and forth between my Kreg pocket hole drill bit and the hex-shanked bit driver, I figured out what the adapter was for. I slipped the Kreg drill bit in the adapter, tightened down the lock collar and my productivity just about doubled. The next time I took out my Miller dowel drill bit, I already knew the drill (so to speak). I took the Kreg bit out of the adapter and put the Miller bit in. But why bother with swapping them out? I'm placing my order for a new 3/8" adapter, and I'll do it again for the next specialty bit I use too. This is one useful little tool.

Skeptical at firstI work at Sears selling tools and with all the gimicy tools that are out there, I was skeptical of the Drill Doctor, until I tried it. It takes about 30 minutes to really get the hang of it, but after that, it is wonderful.
I was drilling through ratchet handles to make a display. I had taken a brand new cobalt bit off the shelf and dulled it after 2 1/2 ratchet handles. I pulled out the Drill Doctor as a joke. But the joke was on me. After about 5 minutes of figuring out how it works, I was able to finish the next three ratchet handles after sharpening the bit.
I have done tool demonstrations at Sears with the Drill Doctor. I have taken drill bits, ground them down on a grinder so they wouldn't drill into Jello, then sharpen them and go through 1/8 steel without a problem. I must have sharpened nearly a thousand drill bits at Sears and the unit is still working.
The price is a little steep, but you won't need to buy drill bits again.

A Drill Bit's Best FriendI purchased a Drill Doctor drill bit sharpener a couple of years ago, and I've been really impressed with this machine. I don't do alot of drilling, but I do enough to wear down a few drill bits and even snap a few. I did have one of those crappy drill powered bit sharpeners, but unless a bit wasn't cutting at all I wouldn't dare put it on that thing - it would dull more than sharpen most of the time.
I know that a sharper cutting tool works faster, cuts cleaner, and is all around a safer tool to work with. Drill bits are no different. I saw this unit at the local home improvement store, and decided to take a gamble since I had never heard of Drill Doctor before. The drill doctor is so easy to work with. My unit came with a detailed video that quickly showed me all there was to operating this simple machine. Pop the bit in the special chuck, align & adjustment is easy & virtually automatic. Then turn the unit on and turn the chuck in the sharpening hole. Literally in a couple of minutes I had sharpened my first bit. Next challenge was to see what it would do with a broken off bit. I selected a 1/8" bit broken at a steep angle. I had to run it through for a few minutes, readjust the chuck a few times after I'd ground it down some and it wouldn't cut anymore, but in the end I recovered a bit that was completely useless. In my shop it will be a little while before this unit pays for itself in bit replacements, but I think it's already paid for itself in precision drilling and avoided frustration!
One note, if I were getting a Drill Doctor today I would probably look at the DD500 or DD750 units. They can sharpen bits at 135 in addition to the 118 standard cut, but you can sharpen any bit to the 118 angle without problem.

The best item for cell phones I have ever seen!.I just love them. The price is right. What is great is the versatility, there compact. Even with the 9 volt battery, all connection and unit can be safely carried within the provided pouch. Who ever can sell these again, will have the product of the year on hand. Every one I know wants one. What a bueatiful Christmas Present. I paid 19.95 on sale for each of mine. Sportsman, doesn't have them any more and don't know if they ever will. I went to the manufacture and they sell only to stores.

Easy to Use Easy to CleanI have never done spray finishes before. It just seemed to complicated. My compressor wasn't big enough for an HVLP gun. I was excited when I saw this all in one product in a trade magazine. I used the Earlex for the first time today. I used it on a plastic water tank that didn't have to look perfect. I thought it would be a good place to start. I thinned the water based primer a bit and it went on with no problems. I had a few runs because I'm new at spraying but very happy with the results. I definitely need some more practice before I tackle cabinet doors. Cleaning was easy with the water based primer. Very happy so far.

Great for Auto Detailing!I have used this same blower for 2 years now and it's still running strong. I am a professional Showroom Auto Detailer and there is nothing better than this little blower to blast water out of grills, rims, tires, bumbers, trim, etc. after the vehicle is washed. After I blast the water from these hard to reach places the vehicle is then ready for a quick towel drying with only a single towel! Then on with the claying and or polishing and wax. A great investment that gives the most bang for the buck.
