I bought one of these to replace a very similar Little Giant pump that is 15+ Years old. The old pump still worked, but due to the age I replaced it as a preventative measure. My basement has flooded during power outages and I didn't want to deal with that again due to pump failure. My pump gets heavy use and kicks off about once every 5 minutes during the wet season and much more frequently when it is raining. Note: I also installed a battery operated backup pump to deal with the power outages.

This is so quiet, I can't hear it operating - even when I'm standing close to it in the basement. The old one could be heard on the main floor. The pump automatically shuts off before all the water is drained from the sump. This prevents the impeller from running dry and making a lot of noise.

The automatic switch is a sealed unit attached to the pump. The pump is activated by water pressure and shuts off when the pressure is relieved. The power cord contains a tube to provide atmospheric pressure to the switch unit so it is important not to kink or tightly clamp the power cord.

This is a heavy pump with a cast iron base. It is built to last.

As no one had reviewed this product, I was concerned to try it. However, it worked out very well. I have a two story home with vinyl. It was easy to reach the very top. It was actually easier to handle in some ways that my normal wand, because I was able to rest the telescoping wand on my waste, and remain in place as I pivoted the wand head. Set up was a little confusing for me. It took me almost all morning because of my brand of p/w. I have a Campbell Hausfeld 2300psi, 6.0hp gas p/w. My p/w did not have the quick connect fittings though most do. The directions were not great, and I am a novice; easily confused. So, I called customer support, and got immediate help. They sent me to home depot to get a No. 4 quick connect fitting ($16.00 for a 4 pack), and this solved my problem. Hope this helps you assess. BTW, the UPS man delivering wanted one too. I think this is a well-conceived product.

I first saw this chuck at a woodworking show in my area on a router being used with a Legacy Ornamental Mill. It appeared too easy to use. It is. It replaces the collet on the router and accepts 1/2 inch shank router bits. It is put on just like the regular collet. Then a bit is inserted and the screw on the side of the chuck is tightened with an allen wrench. no more messin with the wrenches the router comes with and no concerns about possible slipping. I use a 5/32 T-handle ball-end wrench so I dont need to get straight into the cap screw socket to turn it. It makes it even easier to use. I have used small bits and large like my raised panel bit with backcutter and have not noticed any slipping. Magnate has an adapter for 1/4 also. All i need now is one for my Makita !! Hello ? Very very good ergonomics, great feel, light weight,excellent balance,very powerful. I have used this drill to mix concrtete resurfacer, drive lag bolts, drive timberlock screws, drive deck screws and to drill into metal. It worked extremely well in all applications.

This is a very well balenced drill, it has a good solid feel and allows nice control. The nickle metel hydried bat. are also a perfect match. I would recommend this drill to anyone needing
a high performence cordless drill.Better feel than Dewalt. My last Makita cordless lasted 20 years and I think this one will also.

Makita has came of age with the NiMh batteries. NO MEMORY means they can be charged at any time reguardless of the batteries current state of charge. Run time with the NiMh battery is outstanding,lasting for several hours longer than NiCad style batteries. I have used mine in my 12V drill literally for days with excellent output. You'll need one of the Makita chargers("usually BUT NOT ALWAYS" supplied with new cordless tools) that is designed to charge NiMh batteries. All in all I'd rate this battery 5 stars. You'll be well pleased if you upgrade to the NiMh batteries for your cordless tool power needs!!!

i have only owned it for a couple weeks, however comparing it to my experience to the the PC 310, it is much quiter,lighter and the feel in my hand is amazing. i plan on using it as a cut out tool as well, so light weight and a solid one handed grip was essential to me.. the led lights work nicely, and I believe the description doesn't mention the soft start feature.very smooth and quiet...this makita doesn't even move in your hand when you turn it on! clear base is nice too...and this model has a bearing guide base attachment, for bits without a bearing, if you desire to use it,or you can take it off...

My Porter-Cable belt sander finally died after a painful life. Painful to me because it was terribly loud, overheated repeatedly requiring multiple replacement parts, had an ill-placed dust collector, and was too heavy. The Makita is a massive improvement! Ear muffs aren't required. The dust collector isn't rammed up in your face. I don't dread using it at all.

I have owned this little baby for about 7 months now. I have used it on a lot of different material, from steel to concrete to pavement ect... . I tell you, it really cuts great. I have never had a problem with this saw. I highly recommend this saw.

This is a great circular saw-especially for the price. It includes a rip guide and an extra blade-try beating that with any other good brand!

It's nothing too fancy, but it has everything you need. It's very well balanced, it's strong, and it's a whole lot quieter than other saws (with ear plugs it's almost pleasant sounding).

I tried a left handed PC that just didn't work for me. Buying this I thought it would be comparable, but I ended up liking everything about this saw better. The blade that it came with made smoother cuts and it just feels better in your hands. Heck, the lcd light has even come in handy a time or two.

Bottom line-there's nothing not to like about this saw and there's no better deal out there for a top notch saw.
