Are these for a 1/4" collet or larger? Can't buy without knowing the size!

Received the Freud 99-033 Wedge and Tongue router bit as a gift. The bit doesn't leave a "tongue" cut, rather it leaves a female grove. Seems like there should be a "mate" which would be the reverse cut so the tongue and grove would meet. If you need the opposite bit, than the ads should state the item number. If this is a one bit that does both, would be nice to receive a small booklet or picture describing the method on how to use.

Before I ordered this unit I read the other two reviews. One said it was poorly made the other liked it. I have to agree with the first. The quality is not there. If you are the least bit picky save yourself the trouble of having to return it. Cheaply made is the best description. Spend the extra money and buy a Bosch, Porter Cable or DeWalt

Hi, I received my ordered Hickory Woodworking RBK1026 6-Piece Carbide Straight Set a few days ago. I was so happy to get it. I started working with it to finish some projects I needed those bits for. I am quite experienced with working with wood, wood tools and any equipment related. I have a table router, router and some bits for it and thought this set was too good of a deal to miss.
I bought the set before and when the 1/4' bit broke off, I thought I did something wrong. Which was wrong but never the less, i placed an order for another one. I received this set and started working. The 1/4' carbide straight bit broke immediately after the 3rd piece of wood. Since I used this set before, I cut half the height of needed groove once and then adjusted the router height to finish the rest of the piece.

the 1/4" bit still broke off!!! I'm very unpleased with this product. I guess when you pay this price; you get the same quality you pay for.

I contacted customer service for a return of damaged item.

I was expecting an hour or so of instructions. Making templates, using the bit, etc. What I got was 30-45 seconds of instruction and a whole lot of marketing. This reminds me of a video you'd see at a trade show promoting the results - not how to get them.

You could skip the video and still use the system without any problems.

These are awful bearings. I've ordered several different sizes of these and returned them all. They all arrived with suface rust on the bearing, some had metal filings or sharp edges left on the machining and in some the bearings were sick and turned roughly. Pay the extra money and go with a better brand, like Whiteside or Amana or just about anybody else.

In order to buy this item I would need to know the size of the hole I would need to bore in my table,also if I would need to countersink a lip on that hole ,and what the depth of that lip would be! That would tell me what kind of material I could use for the router table top ,or if this would work in my exsisting top.Also is one of the insert disks sized for template adapters?Is one avalable,is a blank disk available so I could bore one out to the right size. Otherwise it would be pretty much useless!!It looks like this product is very well thought out so maybe they have addressed all these issues when they designed it,we just aren't given the information! Give it to us please!

The reason I bought this item was only to have a perfect flush fit with the large round corners of the Jessem Lift. Template is 1/4" larger than plate. I bought a 3/4" OD 1/4" ID bearing to make the 1/2" straight cutter work.

I would prefer the Jessem Lift with rounded corners that match the pattern of a 1/2" straight cutter in a rectangular box.

Not very impressed. Didn't learn anything that couldn't be gathered from the instruction manual.
