I have used this sander for almost 10 years and it does an excellent job - swirl-free consistent finish if used correctly. I wouldn't use it for aggressive stock removal, that's not its strength. The dust-collection feature on other models doesn't really do much for me, I've found it cumbersome and ineffective. One caution - it has some kind of balance mechanism, so if you drop it, it's trash. If you don't drop it, however, it will last a long time.

I have used the Porta-Cable 332 for approximately 20 years and have just ordered my 3rd one. The first one I sold (it's still in use, the 2nd is used every day on the job. This sander is light weight and gets into some very tight places. My wife and I buid cabinets and trim houses, so this sander it used constantly.The reason for the 2nd sander?---she's getting tired of doing all the sanding. The best feature is no dust bag that comes off or limits the places you can get into. Again an excellent pice of equipment!!

The Porter Cable 332PC5" random orbital sander is an execellent buy.I have worked with these for the past several years and have allways been satsified with their durability and their performance.I work in the artmarket furniture business and put these sanders to the test every day.They are simple and sturdy in design and have an excellent feel in your hand.You don't have to look any farther for a great sander.

This edge sander is a great machine for the price, and works great. Makes my sanding easyier, faster and above all much much better. I whish I purchased this sander sooner.

After much comparison shopping, I added the Model 80 to my commercial shop a couple of months ago, and I must say I am very pleased with the machine. I bought it primarily to sand tabletop edges, but I've found a number of other great applications that I hadn't foreseen.
It is nicely engineered with attention to details, adjusts smoothly, and has no major drawbacks. The oscillation is good and my dust collector pulls dust from it quite well. Even the owner's manual/parts list is very well put together. Proper belt tensioning takes a little practice, but with experience the belts are quick to change. A good tool at a good price.

I just received this as upgrade from my model 13 sander, which I was happy with but wanted ocsillation. This was well worth it - many additional adjustments and features, the contour sanding drum is tighter and has a much improved table, and the belts are much cheaper via Grizzly. WOW!

You have read many reviews in the trade sources that say these belts last three times longer. From what I have experienced those writers are not correct. These belts last much longer than 3 times. I have put over 300 board of hard maple and 150 board feet of red oak through on one sheet. It cuts just as new. Prior sheets would have been replaced after 100 board feet of hard maple or red oak. These belts do not heat up as much and they have not cloged yet.

using the 60 grit sanding belt help me to complete my job in a lot less time, with a lot less effort.thanks for the help.

Best belts I've ever used. These things greatly outlast cheaper cloth belts, and it especially shows in a high-output environment. Definitely worth the investment, these pay for themselves many times over. Much less grit loss than other belt types, and can be easily de-gummed by running a hardwood across the belt.

I love these belts. The first time I used one was the free one that came with my 4x24 Porter Cable belt sander. I couldn't believe how long it lasted. They are very aggressive yet leave a very smooth, very consistent surface. The 100 grit is perfect for most general sanding tasks. I used to use the "bargain" belts, buy 12 get 12 free. Not any longer. These 3M belts may cost more, but you will save money in the long run because they last many times longer than a standard belt. The best part is when the belt starts wearing out, with the butt splice all you do is turn it around and its almost like putting on a new belt. These belts make sanding go a lot quicker and the results are excellant. There aren't any course scratches caused by large grit particles like you get with cheaper belts. Definitely worth extra money they cost, cheaper in the long run.

I very rarely need to change belts with this. It's as though the belts last forever when you unclog them with it. I compare using this to using a pencil eraser, except that the surface is moving and the eraser is not. Buy this. You won't regret it. Why waste money on new belts?

This Product is one of few, that really do work. I have many sanding belts and disks (even dremel sanding barrels) that I was able to restore with this stick. I sand wood, plastics, and metal. You can imagine how dirty my belts get. Just touch the disk to the belt and sand, like you would a piece of wood. The particles in the clogged belt come right out with little mess, and the belt cuts like new. You will be suprised with it's performance.

This is the 2d time we have ordered 3 of these sanders from Amazon. The guys in the shop bragged about them so much that the installers wanted them. Then I had to contend with the BOSS!! HE wanted one for his own tool box. Thanks Amazon for the great service..Ordering was simple and delivery was FAST!!!

We keep about 12 of these in our shop for light to medium duty sanding. We've found that they survive being dropped off the work benches a lot better than some of the more popular ones do. We have replaced about half of them with hook and loop pads since one of our suppliers has lowered the price to about the same cost of PSA paper. The brake tends to wearout after about 50+ hours of use, but is easy and cheap to replace. We've looked at getting the DW421, but are doubtfull that the dust collection sys. would do much more than get in the way or get broken early in it's life. We own many DeWalt products and though we would like to see more of a true "professional" grade as opposed to the "consumer" grade that a lot of the manufacturers tend to cater to, they have not disappointed our expectations.

Although I wasn't looking for a reconditioned tool, I have no complaints with this purchase. It looks like new and comes with a manual and case. It performs well and I didn't even have to adjust the tracking on the belt that comes with it. I'm refinishing my kitchen cabinets and this tool is very helpful in sanding the narrow places.

I bought mine from a tool service center to sand on hardwood floors on an outside porch on edges and corners and between the numerous upright posts,which it does with no problem, making it look and really be "Quick and easy". The tight radius of the tip gets"hard it get to"jobs done easily with a speed you can set easily with the dial.At slower speeds it smooths like a dream and quiets down too,although it whines at the higher speeds so ear and dust protection is needed.Also care is required when holding that fingers don't move onto the belt and it's pinch points. All in all I've found it an excellent tool for many jobs,auto and home,far beyond for what I purchased it.

This is the perfect tool for anyone that needs to cut fiberglass. It is indespensable and much more managable than a dremmel or other hand grinder. I use this tool almost daily. The only down side is that this blade is a bit fragile and will break if bent even slightly.

I was told about this tool by a freind when I needed to do some work on the inside of my sailboat. The tool works on the same principle as an orbital sander, only with this cutting blade attached, it will cut just about anything very safely. I have used this blade to cut fiberglass tabs away from the hull without danger of cutting throught the hull and with very little dust. I have also cut the 3/8 plywood that was fiberglassed to the bulkhead. I just took my time and the adjustable depth stop and did not cut through any deeper than necessary. I also trimmed the ends of Stainless steel screws off that are through bolted through the cabin top. I now carry this tool with me anywhere I have a job to do for cutting or sanding. Well worth the money.

I know they tell you in the description that it is 3/8" and 3/4" blades but they come in this little tiny pouch. Save these for your super small jobs. Combining the small blades with the Fein Multimasters variable speed, and you have the capability of doing some pretty "fine" work. Great for the boat in a jar project, or anything else in wood or metal, that requires a small cut.

What more do I need to say? This is a fine FEIN accessory. No more needs to be said!

My machine arrived with freight damage. Grizzly offered to send a second machine but I felt, with a few parts, that the machine was easily repairable. Without hesitation they shipped all the parts I needed and sent some extra sanding drums for my trouble! Their customer service was the best I ever experienced. They even called me back twice to check on my progress!

The machine is up and running now. It is heavy and quiet. It's a nice addition to my wood shop. You won't regret buying this unit. In a Delta review the buyer talks of the sharp corners on this machine's table. I looked around my shop and found the same sharp corners on my bandsaw, tablesaw, radial arm saw, planer, etc. etc. etc. To spend $250 more for the Delta because of the corners isn't necessary in my opinion.

This is a very capable machine. Unit runs with no vibration, it is very quiet and has ample power. The sanding drums last much longer than I expected due to the oscillating action and the cut is smooth and fast. This would be a great addition to any shop.
