3 INCH JET SPINDLE
To buy or not to buy? Is it worth it?Is the 3" spindle neccessary? Not really, with a careful technique, you can accomplish it with the smaller spindles, but it definitely makes it easier. Highly recommended.
Makes Your Benchtop Sander Work Like a "Floor Model"When sanding smooth, flowing curves (like the curvature in a bandsawn box, for instance), the added diameter of this piece keeps the sander from gouging troughs in your workpiece.
I highly recommend it!

- Ten spindle sizes: 1/4" x 5", 3/8" x 6", 1/2" x 6", 5/8" x 6", 3/4" x 9", 1" x 9", 1-1/2" x 9", 2" x 9", 3" x 9", 4" x 9", tapered and threaded

Awesome! The machine is up and running now. It is heavy and quiet. It's a nice addition to my wood shop. You won't regret buying this unit. In a Delta review the buyer talks of the sharp corners on this machine's table. I looked around my shop and found the same sharp corners on my bandsaw, tablesaw, radial arm saw, planer, etc. etc. etc. To spend $250 more for the Delta because of the corners isn't necessary in my opinion.
Great machine
- 1/2-inch diameter for sanding smaller contours and curves
- Aluminum oxide abrasive for long lasting, efficient sanding
- 120 grit for efficient stock removal with a finer finish
- 6 pack
List price: $10.99 (that's -124% off!)

Great fit and qualityThe finer grit like this is better for small spaces, then you don't have to worry as much about taking too much off.
And for thin pieces you can flip them over to use more of the sand paper.

- Aluminum oxide abrasive for long lasting, efficient sanding
- 80 grit for aggressive sanding action
- 6 pack

Perfect FitWith thin pieces you can flip these over to keep from wasting part of the sleeve. And they are tall enough to stack several items together if you are making more than one part.

Good fit and qualityThe large diameter is great for big curves, straight sections and convex curves.

I used these on a drawer divider project. I stacked up to four curved dividers together at one time to get the same shape on each of them.

- Cast iron 14 1/2" x 14 1/2" oscillating sander table tilts to 45°
- Cast iron 17 1/2" x 10" disc sander table tilts to 45°
- Four spindle sizes: 1/4", 5/8", 1 1/2" and 2"
- Motor: 1 HP, 110V, TEFC
- Spindle speed of 1725 RPM with 60 stroke-per-minute oscillation

Excellent ValueIt took about an hour to set up. The only assembly required is to bolt together the base. The motor weighs about 140 lbs so you will need a friend to help lift the motor onto the base.
The tables are big and sturdy. Both tables needed to be aligned to the spindle/disc, which was easy to do. The motor is more than powerful enough. One downside is that the disc sander is kinda low. Anyone that is taller than 6' will find the disc sander uncomfortably low. The table of the spindle sander is at the right height however.
There are two dust collection ports, each 2" in diameter. Why they selected 2" instead of the much more popular 2 1/2" is a mystery. Dust collection is adequate.
I'll update this review in six months to let everyone know about durability.

A must have for the optional 3" spindleAll of the spindle inserts are easy to change, since they are only a drop in device with a single nipple so they go in the same every time. Several inserts come with the unit to keep the work support right up to the edge of the spindle sanding sleeve. The 3" shouldn't be any different and that is why this insert is a good idea as well. Highly recommended.
