Safety Devices Review Powermatic179125424x24

This has got to be the best woodworking money I have spent to date.
I went for a grizly 12/35 after about 18 months of turning. Its like steping into a new BMW. So smoth and powerful.

Safety Devices Review Powermatic 4224 wood lathe
I bought this lathe about a month ago. Super lathe--the Horse power and weight are well worth the extra cost. Plus I love the fact that if I need something for my lathe the folks at Powermatic are in Tn. I want service when I buy and that's what you get buying from Amazom and Powermatic. Thanks for everything.

Safety Devices Review Powermatic 2442 Lathe
I've been using this lathe for over 2 years now and it sure is a heavyweight. I turn mostly bowls in the 14-20 inch diameter range and this is the machine to do it on. I moved up from a Jet that required the foundation that came with it to be anchored to the floor to keep it in one spot. This Powermatic at 960 pounds just doesn't move. The three speed pulley serpentine belt arrangement not only assures quiet operation but a great degree of freedom in choosing a speed for your work. Couple that to the three horsepower variable speed motor and this bad puppy just flat out cranks out torque. I've also made hundreds of pens on it. A little overkill but no problems doing it

Safety Devices Review Worked out well
I bought 4 of these. Unlike other power strips, the strip, or the plug & outlets do not get warm, overheat, or melt when drawing a lot of power. These are contractor grade... The safest & most durable I've found yet.

Safety Devices Review Nice layout
I picked this up today and it looks sweet. Has wire tuckaways. Mine is the same model number, but the box says 1350 Joules. Amazon lists 950....?? Maybe they entered it in wrong.

Safety Devices Review The only choice for LS-120 drives
If you have an Imation SuperDisk drive, then Imation SuperDisks are your media of choice. Unlike Zips and floppies, where one brand works about as well as the other, I would (and do) use only Imation disks in an LS-120 drive. Since support for this technology is waning, stock up now!

Safety Devices Review Reasonably Priced Super Solution
These disks are great! Save all your large update files, favorite downloads, games etc.

Safety Devices Review Spend the Money!
I hated the stock guard and spreader that came with my Unisaw. Like everyone, I took it off the first day and put in a drawer where is collects dust. I've had several pieces of wood kick back and the last one almost broke my arm. That convinced me I should make the investment in my safety. I saw this one and liked the idea that I could easily take it off to do dado work. It seemed [pricey] but a lot cheaper than medical bills and lost work. When it came I was surprised at how small and simple it was. It was a snap to install and I always leave it on the saw. I've used my saw 1,000 times since and have not had one single kick back. The only down side the spreader will not work with ultra thin knerf blades. Although it is pricey for what it is, this is one of the best investments I have ever made.

Safety Devices Review Why would anyone want a regular Floppy?
The LS 120 Disk is the best thing since sliced bread. It is faster than a floppy, but still accepts the older 1.44 format, so you have the best of both worlds. I can't believe this is not the standard on all new computers. It holds 120 MB! It is not restricted by the slow floppy controller. I have one on my Laptop and my desktop. I can tranfer files between up to the 120 MB limit. What a great idea, yet the Zip Drives get all the publicity, and some of them only hold 100 MB and are wildly expensive.

Safety Devices Review The Fine Art of Parenting says two thumbs up! A Perfect 10!
I have the school model of Safety Mate, and I simply cannot say enough good things about this product! I love it, my husband loves it, and my four kids love it!

With budget cuts in Nursing Personnel in the schools, I cannot imagine any PTA/PTO unit not wanting to order this important first of its kind safety tool for their campuses. In an emergency situation, your school nurse may not be on campus.

This handy light-weight SafetyMate can be grabbed quickly and taken anywhere on campus. Anybody can follow the easy to understand voice commands until help arrives. Calm under pressure. It as if 911 is right there with you! The possibilities of this portable unit are endless and it should be a part of any families disaster prep! A very worthy investment! I will recommend it to everyone I know!

Safety Devices Review Battery hog
It works very nicely to help with accurate parking. I am not upset at how it actually works, but the battery usage is unreal. The book states that batteries should last up to a year, but I have to change them every 6-8 weeks. It is getting expensive. I wish I could plug it in.

Safety Devices Review can't wait to get it
i been looking for something like this for my garage .i t will be so like when i get it .

Safety Devices Review Awesome product
We bought two of these gadgets at a garage sale for $5/ea. and couldn't believe how wonderfully they worked. They are precision devices and allow us to park our extended mini-van in the garage perfectly every time w/o having to get outside to make sure the garage can shut. The battery problem that a couple people are talking about is probably because of improper placement or clutter in the garage. We noticed that the device was staying on all the time because we were refinishing a piece of furniture in the garage that was just close enough to the sensor's range that it was activating it (it always thought a car was being parked) and it never shut off. Once the sensor was repositioned and clutter removed battery life was extended to manufacturer estimates.

Safety Devices Review American Gardener Cordless Grass Shear
The American Gardener Cordless Grass Shear, GS48 4-Inch 4.8 Volt, is a good grass shear. Generally, only the Sears Craftsman is better; however, it is considerably more expensive.

Safety Devices Review My Opinion of the American Gardener Cordless Grass Shears
I purchased a pair of these shears last month after my Black & Decker ones wouldn't charge so I could use them for the season. I first thought I could do without something like this, but found that wasn't true. I chose these instead of another Black and Decker, because I liked the idea of a wider cut and more power. So far, I have been well pleased with the performance of these shears, and the ease with which they handle going around and up close to things where even a weed eater won't go. This is actually my 3rd pair of those type shears, so I'm really sold on them being a necessity in the yard especially if you have such areas where a weed eater type won't go and do a neat job. These shears do that, and as mentioned, so far, I am very well pleased with their performance.

Safety Devices Review The Best Grass Shears
The cordless grass shears are the very best I have ever had. I have several pairs due to all the trimming that I do. I hate weed wackers, they are messy and hard for me to control. These grass shears have a nice long power charge and the width of the blade and the sharpness makes my job so much easier for me. In rescent years I had bought Black n Decker. After ordering these. I will never ever purchase anything but these. Thank you for having such a great product. Colette P. Santillo

Safety Devices Review Does it seem hot in here or is it just me ?
Let me get the negatives out of the way first;

The day WindChaser decided to design the connection for the body and the head/motor, all their engineers were out playing golf. There are 4 screws that you use to connect the head assembly to the body, screws that don't seem to be metal, and when you set these screws in the holes you can't get at them to tighten them. I tried a stubby Phillips and about 1" above the screws is a plastic shelf that blocks straight down access. I wound up having to use a Phillips screwdriver bit and some pliers.

Secondly when I pulled the WindChaser out of the box the plastic was cheaper and more flimsy that I'd have hoped. However, it's not like I'm going to be playing contact sports with it either so for what it's designed for it works fine.

Positives;

I really do think this heater rocks. On the low setting you can feel heat from 6' or so away. On the high setting you can feel heat 10' or so away. This thing really puts off the heat ! I've tried it several times on high and have to turn it down after a few minutes. And the feel of the heat is wonderful. It feels as if you're in front of a roaring campfire. If you had a tape playing of campfire noise, and this thing in front of you with your eyes closed, you'd swear that it was a real fire. It's soothing and comforting and just wonderful.

The noise.... What noise ?! When you have it in oscillation mode it's freaky, you expect to hear a fan going, but it's seemingly dead quiet as it pans the room. Very cool.

Another thing that has amazed me is that the wire protection frame on the front of the dish...only gets warm. I can't figure it out. Even after it's been on a long time on the low setting I can touch the grate and expect it to be really hot because of the high heat it's emitting and the grate is just warm. This was a pleasant surprise since I have 3 little kids. After the unit has been on for a while I can touch every part of it and nothing is hot ! Which gives me wonderful peace of mind. To burn yourself you'd have to stick your fingers through the grate.

So, in conclusion, I would highly recommend this heater. The silence of it and the feel of the heat coming off the dish is well worth the price of admission.

Safety Devices Review Lower your heating bills
Our house was built in 1902, with no insulation on the outside walls. Our heating bills for the past three years have varied from $150 to over $300 - to be cold! We purchased the WindChaser PAR201 model heater on my parents recommendation, knowing if gas increased as expected, we'd need all the help we could get.

Now, after two months, I can report with absolute certainty. Our electric bill did increase, but only about $15/mo. Our gas, on the other hand, went DOWN, yes down, $65.00!!! We've never had gas bill this low since we've owned the house.

We keep the WindChaser in the living room and it's like sitting in front of a fireplace. In fact, my partner jokes with our friends that they should come over and we'll "have a fire".

We've tried every imaginable type of heater, some in excess of $500.00, but this little thing is the BOMB! We recommend it without whole heartedly.

Safety Devices Review It has a tilt control and it sends out cozy heat
The heater DOES have a tilt control on the side. When it's tilted, it looks exactly like what's shown in the picture above. It takes a bit coordination between your both hands, though, to make the control work, as one of your hands has to turn the control, the other has to support the head of the unit and make the angle.

The four screws for securing the head of the heater to the stand of it also take some figuring-out to tighten. If you turn the head of the heater away from the hole you're inserting the screw into, it'd be pretty easy to tighten the screw with only a Phillips screwdriver.

Of course, the manual would be more user-friendly if the aforementioned two points were spelled out clearly in it. In addition, it would be helpful to know more about the unit, such as the wavelength of the far-infrared the manufacture claims to use on this unit. Having researched on the benefits of far infrared and the high price tag usually associated with heaters that use it, I was quite suspicious about the unit due to the relatively low price. So far, I still don't have the means to verify whether it's true far infrared or not. If it is, then it's an incredible buy!

Regardless, I'm feeling happy about this purchase as it's doing its job -- keeping me warm. To me, this heater feels better than a fire place, with similar kind of heat, but absolutely hassle free - no smoke, no noise, and the air is not dried. When I am reading, I like to use it on the low setting and put it about three feet from me on the floor. It feels just cozy. I was raised in southeast Asia, where it's warm almost throughout the year. You get the idea what it means to me to be cozy in winter time in Indiana!

Overall, I highly recommend this unit!
