I bought this set about 3 months ago. great set. It is nice to have a jig saw for those quick jobs. The planer works good for also quick jobs. if you hang doors this planer is quick for a few planes, especially if you have the porter cable battery router you can hang doors with out pulling out a elec cord. over all I like this set.

This is an excellent kit for any unit that will be vented horizontally that does not exceed 18 inches from the outside of your house. In other words, you need to be mounting the water heater against the outside wall of your home for this kit to work. If you are mounting your unit against such a wall and the wall is less than 18 inches in thickness, this is a perfect kit and will have everything you need. The only downside is that the kit does not do a good job of telling you how to install the required wall heat shield. A quick call to the company can provide you with the help you will need to install it.

I love this vacuum. The good points:
*It is light (about 12lbs.) and easy to carry up/down stairs
*It is quiet when running (for a vacuum cleaner anyway)
*Has 3 onboard attachments- they're stored neatly under a little door on the vac body
*HEPA filtration
*Rectractable cord
*Handle telescopes in/out so you can change the length
*Looks super cute and stylish. Looks as nice as a Miele at a much better price
*Easy to change the bags

I didn't give it 5 stars because I don't like the way the vac head and the attachments attach to the main handle. You just push them together and hope they hold. There is no "click" or latch to hold them together. I was using it yesterday and the head just plopped off. I had to stop and push it back on, but then it stayed. Also, the replacement bags are a bit pricey, but that's part of the nice air filtration, so I don't mind too much. Overall, it's been a GREAT machine so far.

table is larger then most ,does fold down but it is heavy .table is stable . the table top is flat but the plastic insert router mounts to is not ,i am search right now for one that is and the fit it to the table .

This edge guide works very well with my 1613EVS. It is a bit fiddly, but once it's set up it works well. I especially like the adjustment knob which allows you to adjust your cut in fine increments without having to move the whole guide.

This little collector works great if you have a powerful dustcollector or shop vac. A very nice addition to your router if you use it a lot and spend hours cleaning up afterwords. It also gets a lot more of the fine dust at the source before its air borne.

In my humble opinion, Bosch makes great jigsaws and great jigsaw blades. I bought this kit right after I got my Bosch barrel grip jigsaw, thinking that a good assortment was just the key. Its now several years later and I long ago used, dulled, and discarded the blades from this set that suit my type of work and the rest sit collecting dust.

My advice is: buy Bosch blades, but only buy a couple at a time until you know which sizes suit you and/or the style of work you do most. Then you can buy larger quantities of just those sizes!

I do alot of tough drilling. The Bosch holds up quite well. I hope it is as durable as it is powerful; I haven't had it for too many years. You cannot beat the price on this little guy. I do wish it had the level like the dewalts do, but otherwise--a great tool at a great price.

I have found that the best alignment of this pinion gear for smooth operation of the Zipmate attachment, when used on the new Rebel tool, is to leave a 1/8 inch space between the gear and the top of the collet nut. It's not in the owner's manual, I had to experiment a little to discover this optimal placement. A little machine oil on the gear shaft tips and the collet helps, too.

I wouldn't think of getting one of these portable saws without the Rousseau table and this extension. I've thrown 100# sheets of MDF on this table (using some additional saw horses for side support through the cut) and ripped them down to usable size by myself using the rousseau table, this extension, and outfeed table. Accuracy is as good as I can measure for large sheet goods. Just like the Makita saw, set it and it stays set.
