Bosch Review Not impressed
I am disappointed by these bosch angle grinders. I bought one and within a few months the switch needed replacing.

Bosch Review great tool
I own 2 of these and have many, many hours on them. They have given me outstanding service. I know for a fact that I have at least 100 hours of operation on the first one and still haven't had to replace the brushes. I use them for cutting, grinding, sanding steel, and cutting concrete.

Bosch Review Not worth the price
Not worth the price you ask? It's only $11.00. True. Don't waste your $11.00. Instead plug a shop vac into the exhaust port of the table saw. The small exhaust port gets jammed easily and if that happens, forget collecting any dust in the bag. If the exhaust port stays clear, then I'd say I collect about 10% of the dust produced. Especially with MDF. What a mess!! I built a moble stand for the saw and folding stand so I push the whole thing out into the drive way and use it out there because of the mess it makes inside the garage.

The saw is great and I'm very happy with it. I gave it 4 or 5 five stars in my review of the saw itself. But this collection bag is pointless. Save your money and spend it elsewhere.

Until I get my dust collector for all my tools, I use this bag on my DeWalt 2-speed planer where it works great. I empty it frequently, but that's a planer for you.

Bosch Review The Dust Collector Does Work--More or Less
This well-made dust collector for the Bosch Table Saw appears to be made of nylon and cotton and attaches to the dust port at the rear of the saw. It has a zippered bottom, and does collect sawdust. It is not as good as connecting to a shop vac but even with a shop vac you will still have sawdust to pick up--with any make of "job-site" saw. I frequently use my saw in a garage so I use the dust collector and I also place a cardboard box under the saw. A great deal of the sawdust goes into the box, quite a bit goes into the Bosch dust collector, and a goodly amount will still be all over the floor. This is the way with all saws of this type. The price was great $10.99, and I ordered it with a saw thus avoiding any shipping fees or sales tax. I do recommend this accessory as it is a help. I ordered it on January 30, with a delivery date on or before February 14. I received it before February 10. It was well-packed. I am more than happy with Amazon and Bosch.

Bosch Review Works better than expected
I was apprehensive about this collection bag based on the reviews. However, for the price, and because I was generating a lot of saw dust, I decided to give it a try. I do have a rather powerful shop vacuum that I would sometimes attach to the saw for larger jobs, but that was always a hassle, and particularly for those occasional short cuts. So, I decided to try this dust bag.

To my pleasant surprise, it has worked very well. Apparently, Bosch has made some improvements since other reviews were written, since the bag I received was made of heavy cloth material and has a nice zipper in the bottom for easy saw dust removal. The bag collects virtually ALL the saw dust that goes through the dust port, and only when the neck of the bag got inadvertently restricted by the power cord did it ever clog up. On the occasions when I've attached the shop vacuum, I really have to say that I don't think it collected much more saw dust than this simple (and inexpensive) dust bag does.

So---bottom line, the dust bag seems to have been redesigned by Bosch, and for me it works well, and much better than expected. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong.

Bosch Review Just Plain Bad
This drill was my first hammer drill....P>I had it for about 2 years, maybe used it for 2 dozen times in that span. I used it to drill holes in bricks and concrete as well as to mix concrete. From start, the levers for switching speed and mode (drill vs. Hammer) was very hard to negotiate.

Started noticing power decrease when I started mixing 2 lbs. of concrete mix in a 5 gallon bucket. Saw sparks internally to drill when I tried drilling 8 holes into concrete foundation. Finally went bezek on me the other day while drilling 1/2" bit into brick. Drill got stuck in on mode, had to pull cord to shut off power.

Do yourself a favor, save yourself some money. Stay away from this drill. It's just plain bad.

Bosch Review Must have Drill
I would never go to a jobsite without this drill. It handles so many different tasks with ease. It is now indispensable. Need to retrofit bolts, this drill does it. Need to drill a lot of holes in mudsill, it is handled. Just be careful, because if the bit catches something, you can get hurt. 8 amps is a lot of power.

Bosch Review Excellent drill
I bought this drill for masonery only, and it has worked flawlessly. It has plenty of power for the homeowner, and you could take it to most construction sites. I dropped it once from about five feet, and aside from a few scratches you would never know. This is a good drill at a good price.

Bosch Review Too Bulky
The motor housing/handle of this grinder is too big to be comfortable. Holding it for hours gets old! The switch was constantly clogging up. I used it for stone carving, which is dusty however other grinders have held up fine.

Bosch Review Ultra smooth running - a joy to use
I've used one of these for about ten years now, with almost daily use. It is still the smoothest running angle grinder/sander I have ever used, which is appreciated when doing fine work and holding it running for hours on end. It is also more quiet than most grinders (I've used almost all of them). It has adequate power considering the weight of the machine. The only downside is that the electrical cord wires would break near the housing, but it was easy to replace with a higher rated cord. Maybe Bosch solved this by now. When it does wear out, I will definately buy another one.

Bosch Review Best grinder I've used
I've been using my grinder for about two years now...it's outlasted a DeWalt grinder which I burned the motor out on and a Milwaukee grinder whose case broke when dropped. My bosch has been dropped, carried by the cord and used to cut steel in a pinch and keeps on running. I've never had any problems with the switch either. Now I have two Bosch grinders...one for grinding and one for finish sanding.

Bosch Review Don't buy this saw!!
Don't buy this saw unless you want a lot of grief. Why? You will not get the Twist Lock Plug that is nessessary to have before you can plug the darn thing in. You would think that Bosch would not be so stupid to leave this critical accessory out. Think you might pick one up at Home Depo or Lowes? Good luck. I even drove across Dallas to the Bosch Service Center (a couple gallons of gas and lots of traffic) to pick one up after I called to make sure they had one in stock. The clerks don't even know enough about this saw to understand it does require a twist lock and not a regular plug as Amazon states in the description. The clerk at the Bosch Service center just shrugged and said he could special order it. I need that saw tomorrow. I have a number of Bosch tools and I am very happy with them. I have ordered several items from Amazon with no problems. But this time I got lots of problems from both. I'm not a contractor, just a home owner. I will try to make something that will work from an extension cord (12Ga) and a twist lock connector I picked up at Home Depo ($48.38). My advice to you is buy another saw unless you really want the grief and added cost in both time and money.

Bosch Review Wonderful Saw, but buy the version with a standard cord.
This saw requires a cord with a NEMA L5-20P female twist lock end. I couldn't find one at Home Depot or Lowe's. I needed to use the saw right away so I purchased a standard 25' 12ga extension chord, cut off the female end, and hard wired the cord to the male prongs on the end of the saw. Soldering, heat shrink tubing, electrical tape and an hour and a half to get back to work.
This saw uses a diamond shaped arbor. I am using a Dewalt finishing blade. The Dewalt blade comes set up for a round arbor but a piece can be popped out to fit the diamond shaped arbor.
Once the saw was up and running, I found it to be a dream to use.

Bosch Review Misleading Description
Amazon made an important mistake in their description of this item

The phrase "Plug any 12 gauge extension cord directly into the tool" is from a similar model. With the 1677MDT you need a special twist-lock extension cord, which I had to order directly from Bosch, because it seems no one sells them. Not only an unexpected additional expense, but I also couldn't use the saw at all until the cord arrived.

Another thing that's important to know is that Bosch Worm Drive saws take a special kind of 7 1/4 inch blade with a square arbor, not the regular kind of 7 1/4 inch blade with a round hole in the middle.

Bosch Review May not fit your Bosch router
I bought the Bosch 1617EVSPK router kit last December and this dust extraction kit last week. BEWARE that if your Bosch router is fairly new and has a fine adjustment shaft that goes into the base of the fixed base (model RA1161 I think), the side dust extraction hood in this kit will NOT fit. Bosch recently redesigned the fixed router base and is aware of the problem with fitting their existing dust hood on this base. They say they will release a modified dust extractor hood kit "in a few months". I cannot comment on the performance of the other hood as I'm selling my kit to my brother-in-law and waiting on the redesigned hoods to be released. Check your fixed router base for an extended shaft before purchasing this kit.

Bosch Review Bosch Dust Hoods
In addition to the Bosch router table, I bought the Bosch router kit with plunge and fixed bases, the dust collection kit, and the fixed base which is made specifically for attaching to the router table.

Routers spew a lot of shavings and dust, so capturing the mess at the source saves lots of time cleaning up. Although the router table has a built-in dust collection hood, it only captures the dust that spews out above the surface of the table. Since one of the Bosch router accessory dust hoods attaches to the fixed base under the table, I thought it would be great to attach it, thus collecting dust from both above and below the table surface. Alas, I couldn't accomplish this because the table stand obstructs attaching the accessory hood when that base is attached to the table.

So far, neither Bosch nor any other manufacturer has devised a simple tool-less quick change collet for inserting and removing router bits. I look forward to that day.

Bosch Review Dust extraction that works
I've purchased this and put it on my router and did some plunge routing. 70 % of the chips were captured and the clean-up was considerably less. I also noticed that my dust mask seemed to plug up less. It apparently get the fine dust too. For the cost it's worth the effort. The black hose adapter converts the hose from metric to english. I would recommend that you convert to a larger hose fairly quickly because the small hose cause a significant loss in vacumm the longer it is.

Bosch Review Don't waste your money
This is a very flimsy machine. Notice it is shown with a 4 X 4 sheet of plywood. That is because it is just about useless with a full 4 X 8 sheets. It is not stable and the stand is made of the aluminum tubing that lawn chairs are made from. It didn't take long for it to give way. I had trouble getting it alinged and keeping it aligned. The saw dust falls on the bottom ledge where your material rests on and throws off alignment. The material roller wheels of other panel saws is a much better way to go. If you need a panel saw for work, buy a real one. If you are a hobbiest, save up for a real one because this was really a disappointment.

Bosch Review Panel Saw with Big Potential
The Panel Pro is easy to put together and acceptably easy to fine tune alignment. The ruler options are not optional in my book. The wheels are handy but add challenges when ripping thick boards. It is a backsaver for crosscutting and ripping panels while working alone. The narrow bed does put unneeded stress on you while ripping sheets longer than 6'. Optional 2' to 4' extentions would be nice but not available. You must build your own. They save all the extension options for their much pricier upper end models.

Bosch Review Panel Pro Review
I give this saw 5 stars with the understanding and recognition that there are better saws to be bought; but in this price range, this tool deserves the highest rating. It has great value for its cost.
I have owned this saw for nearly 4 months and am extremely pleased with it. I use it almost exclusively for cutting thin (1/4") sheet goods, but have used it occasionally for 1/2" material. I have not as yet (and don't expect to) use it for long rips, where the saw is stationary and the material is pushed against it.
It is well designed and made, and is capable of extremely precise cuts. It exceeded my expectations, which were lowered by reading a review by a user some months back. I must now, in his case, suspect operator error.
Packing was well done and assembly straighforward and reasonably simple. I had a minor problem with one of its components and the company (Safety Speed Cut) response was immediate and completely satisfacory. I even got to speak to a real person right from the start. Hope you like it too-- sure beats the time and danger of messing around with full sheets on a table saw or on horses with a hand, circular saw.

Bosch Review Base not perpendicular to shaft
Bought this unit based on recommendations forom others, but returned because the base was not perpendicular to shaft. It is probably not a big deal if you intend to use it for laminate trimming, but I was planning to use it as a mini router, so wouldn't work for me. Otherwise seemed and felt like a great unit.

Bosch Review Laminate Router
I have used this particular Bosch Router in my countertop business for the last 18 years. These routers will last on average 4-5 years with every day use. Easy to change out bits, light weight, and very dependable with very smooth cuts. Highly recommend to any one who installs plastic laminate!

Bosch Review I prefer the DeWalt bits
I first because very impressed with cobalt bits after drilling a ton of holes in 1/4 red iron with dewalt bits and the bosch just don't last nearly as long. without a pilot hole the bits above 3/16" wear out much faster than the dewalts. It's the nicest case for drill bits i've ever had though so it gets' three stars, when one brakes or wears out, i just replace it with a dewalt...

Bosch Review great bits
the bits are great and go through anything, though i wish the case would fit into the drill's carrying case. in any event the bits are excellent.

Bosch Review forget this one
Following the recomendations of various reviews I purchased this saw to replace a 23 year old Milwaukee that fell 30 feet off a roof bending the plate badly. In six months of owning it both the angle and depth knobs have broken off, the plate flexes badly when used for a depth cut, and today for no apparant reason the guard handle broke off, just sheared right off the guard rendering the saw useless. I own a number of other Bosch tools and can't say enough good about them. For all the obvious excellent engineering the saw has it's not a professionals tool. I fixed the bent plate and put the old Milwaukee back in service.

Bosch Review Bosch CS20 7-1/4"
Purchased saw 4 months ago, depth gage...broken, angle gage...broken, 1 year refund...useless because some pencil pushing consultant at bosch said the saw was misused. The bill to fix the $100 saw is $80. I have a porter cable circular saw that is over 20 years old and has taken twice the beating the bosch will ever see yet nothing is broke on it. The bosch took a 1 foot fall off the underside of a sawhorse and the fall broke the angle gage. The depth gage adjuster broke during regular use. I do not "misuse" my tools but I do use them!

Bosch Review Happy with decision
I bought this saw a couple of months ago. Overall I'm really happy with the decision. It's relatively light and well balanced. The sight line is truly the best that I've came across. Angle and depth adjustments could not be any better. I've had no problems at all. The only gripe is that I wish Bosch would include a case instead of the bag for storage. The bag just doesn't protect the saw that well, and there's no pocket for the wrench.

Update: The direct connect cord system is really a pain in the rear. Its not easy to get a cord plugged in. I've bent the prongs several times. I think the prong will break before the year is over. My suggestion is to get a the model with the included cord and leave it plugged in to the saw permanently.
