Bosch Review I paid $25 for one and want my money back
I found one of these used for $25. I figured for that much I couldn't go wrong (I got a few blades with it, so I guess I didn't do too bad), but I'd rather have my money back now. The workings of the saw are about what you'd expect from a consumer saw...mediocre at best fence and miter guide, but it "works". Or it does up until the low quality plastic motor housing fractures and cracks apart at all the screw joints, pretty much sending the motor to table saw hell.

Bosch Review Beware of this POS
I purchased this table saw with stand 3 years ago at Home Depot. It's the worst piece of hardware I've ever bought. The 5/8 non standard miter slot created by Skil is the biggest joke I've ever seen produced. Have you ever opened up Wood magazine and you wanted to create a jig for the table saw? Good luck. You have to fabricate the rail for the miter slot first before anything and it isn't even worth the time or effort. I wish I can just cut the miter slot out and replace it with a 3/4 standard miter track. The motor works well and cuts, but most of my cuts are aweful. I've found it better to create a jig for my new Porter Cable circular saw and fitted it with a 40 teeth Freud blade to be easier to rip or cross cut my plywoods or any wood I have. This saw was the first major tool I've ever purchased and I've been regretting buying it ever since. I should have bought a Delta, Bosch, DeWalt, or anything else with a standard miter slot. The body of this saw is also made of very cheap think plastic. Mine cracked and this saw is so loud and unstable. I've since taken the saw completely apart and I'm going to fabricate a new top, body, and miter track for this thing. The only part I can salvage is the motor and its assembly to tilt. I've tossed the body and don't know what to do with the table top. I might try to find some use for the attachments for the tabletop. All I know is that this this is terrible. Don't buy one folks. Skil should have done a better job building this thing. They gave you lots of features that were nice, but the quality and proprietary steps they took was terrible.

Bosch Review OK for basic use, but not much else
This saw is OK for someone who needs to do nothing other than simple straight rips. The power is adequate, and the saw is stable when mounted on a stand.

However, my MAJOR complaint is that the miter slots on the table are not standard. This is a big problem because it is almost impossible to find miter guides and other accessories such as sliding miter tables, etc. that will work with this saw. To make matters worse, the miter guide that comes with the saw is a joke. It is not very accurate, and it is very short. This makes it impossible to deal with anything wider than about 8" on the table.

I'm going to replace this saw on this basis alone.

Bosch Review Don't sell tools you don't know anything about...
I almost passed up this item because the photo is taken at such an angle as to hide the unique shape and details of the battery! "Larger Photo" gets you a maybe 5% enlargment [being generous], and at the same quality-- the larger you make it, the worse the detail gets! It's bad enough not to know anything about sales-photos, but to be looking thru a viewfinder for a living and have no idea of shape or form? All of which leaves one with no choice but to rely on the text details of the ad.
It only lists model # 7700 as a fit, but, if it is indeed part # 757-01, then it is what came with my model-770 from the factory. But if the seller does not know what they are selling, why buy from them?
Why buy anything on an odds-OFF chance that it is what you need? Say, your wife is a perfect size 7; you buy her a size-17-something on the off-chance that it has been mis-sized? How long can you expect to stay married? What are the chances that '77 Chrysler parts will fit a '77 LTD, or vice versa?

Advice to seller: Get out of the tool business, yesterday. Better yet, get out of BUSINESS, period, and go train under someone who KNOWS what they're doing!

Bosch Review Don't buy this battery
If the battery you want looks like this picture, don't buy this item. The picture is a 757. The item is really a 757-01, which is for a different tool and won't fit your dremel. I wasted a week and shipping costs on this mis marked product.

Bosch Review Save your money
I bought this for My Dewalt 12" compound miter saw. I thought it would be nice to add the laser to it.

It is very easy to install, it just replaces the outside blade washer. There are no adjustments and the unit dosen't fit exactly like the orgininal washer, the shape of the "flats" on the Avenger are not the same (it is universal for many saws).

You have to start the saw to activate the laser (turns on at 500 rpm). The problem is it will cut about a 1/32" off the laser line. It should cut right on the edge of the line or the center of the line. So you have to estimate where the cut will be.

Your better off with the saw off, bringing the blade down to your piece of work to see where the cut is. Or with the blade running sight down the blade.

The saftey feature of the laser should be to line up the cut with the blade not spinning, thats not the case with the Avenger. The blade must spin to activate.

Bosch Review Stupid Design, can't flush sand with it. Bosch blew it.
The picture shown for this sander shows a sander able to flush sand to the belt side of the sander. This error caused me to purchase this rediculously designed belt sander. Bosch, I have normally loved their tools. But this makes me feel like never buying another bosch tool again. Instead of redesigning the sander and motor housing for the 3x24 belt, they used the same frame and body with different rollers and platina for the 4" wide sander to save them design costs and changes. So what does this do,, yep, leaves a full one inch over hang of the motor housing over the belt.. How STUPID. you think they could have at least modified it to push the rollers and platina out to the side so it would be flush like the 4 inchers. but no. If you want a tool designed to save Bosch money and with no care as to the end user,, you or me,, then buy this piece of garbage.

Bosch Review Totally worthless
First of all I thought I would splurge and get a longer hose and upgrade to no static and not have to move the vac to hook up to my belt/disk sander and orbital at the work bench with the extra length on the hose. I can't believe I spent 79.00 for this useless item. I guess I should have learned the metric system. I knew there was trouble when I picked up the box from UPS off the front porch. It didn't feel like there was a very big hose in the box. The outside diameter is about half the size of the original hose and the inside diameter is the size of the end of your ring finger. The only thing it would be good for is to give it to my wife for Christmas to suck the dust off of her fine china. The only use it would be for is maybe small sanding machines and orbital sanders, but the size restriction severely limits air flow. It turns your powerful bosch vac into a seemingly dust filter clogged wimp. I love bosch products and can't believe they would put their name on this for any price.

Bosch Review Unable to use the blade.
The 9" grinder does not come with a flange set to mount this blade. I asked Bosch about it, and their response on 10/20/2005 is "at this time we do not have the correct flange set available to allow use of a diamond blade on our 7 - 9 inch grinders". But, hey, thanks for buying our products.

Bosch Review Bosch 1617PK-RT Router
The tool came in a very nice carrying case. However, furnished were 1/2" and 3/8" collet chucks. As far as I'm concerned, the 3/8" collet is absolutely useless. And, all my router bits have 1/4" inch shafts. So, I've been forced to try to find a local Bosch tool dealer (25 miles away) and order (at a cost of $17) the 1/4" collet chuck. It will be here in 5-8 days. Would have been very nice for Amazon.com to furnish this tool with equipment that is used in the trade. Not so!

Bosch Review bad batch?
maybe just a bad batch but the "heads" all broke off on 75% of each bit on the fisrt attempt to drill. nothing bad about the material i was drilling; the bits i used from lowes all worked for 40-60 holes per bit in 4" slab concrete (cured).
