Oak Park RW20001 Router Workshop

Routing made simple
Get right to itReceived the Router Workshop and within 20 minutes was into my first project. Literally assembles in a snap. Only complaint - cutout in the fence limits you to the straight bit that comes with the package. An additional fence with a larger cutout to accomodate a wider variety of bits would have been helpful.
Routing Made EasierI have owned an Oak Park Router Workshop for about three years now and it's one of the best setups I have ever used. The ease of setting up and tearing down takes very little time. There also is a good line of accessories that can be added to the basic unit for almost any routing job. I am very satisfied with my purchase of this unit. The instruction vidios are also very helpful.

Cutting edge technology! The RZ20-4000 has widened my horizons in the fields of woodwork.
It has made my saber saw obsolete and allowed me to boldly go where I have never thought possible. I can now make realistic dachshund silohettes. The unit is vibration free and cuts to the high degree of accuracy needed for fine woodworking. The diamond saw attachment is unique and useful for those hard to get to spots.

Yup I finally broke down and upgraded...you should too...So I used to have a dremel kit that for the last 3 years I have been beating on but it held up pretty well and did what I needed. To upgraded I need variable speed, led light is a plus, and the circle cutter is a given. I use this tool mostly for cuting out sheet rock openings for electrical ie: boxes, can lighting, ect..and it does that job just perfect as it should. The surprise is in the way it handles the harder tasks of cutting out the same holes in 3/4 pine for ceiling cans, or a 4inch hole for a bath vent or dryer vent...right through the siding, plywood, and sheetrock. I just pilot hole to get an inner and outer center and away she goes. This unit is jsut the right size, power and versatility. Heck I use the thing for sink cut outs in the counter and even used the metal cutting wheel for cutting drop ceiling grids. Uses are endless...a great shop, home, even road tool. (I used it with a small inverter running of my trucks 12v power to cut off an muffler that decided to hang up on a stump the other day) Yup she is that handy.
Great Bosch Rotozip Kit!!!I bought this kit to cut granite tile for a bathroom counter top. The diamond saw worked great for cutting the opening for my drop in sink. I found the jigsaw handle attachment worked great for cutting the hole in the plywood top. I like the fact it doesn't have any vibration as a regular sabre saw would have which could loosen up the tile. I also did sheet rock cutouts for the outlets and light fixture. Bosch did a great job of improving the Rotozip product. The kit is extensive and a pretty nice tool bag too. I plan to buy other attachments for this kit. I'm extremely pleased with a real world test for my bathroom. I gave away my old, very used rotozip and love this kit! A+++!

Rousseau 3002 Router Lift LSHaving been a long time woodworker and used routers only as hand held, I made the jump to a Table top router.
As most woodworkers know changing bits can be cumbersome.
with the Rousseau its EZ. Another item is getting the correct depth is like pulling teeth without novocaine. This lift takes that out of the equation. I would recommend this to any novice or hardcore woodwork, it saves time and knuckles.

Great router lifterThe router lifter did everything I could ask for and more. Ran 2,200 lineal feet of stock through the unit without any problems. Well worth the cost. A great addition to my collection.
Precise Router Lift. What it is: This is a JessEm Rout-R-Lift FX router lift, bolted to a much thickened phenolic Rousseau mounting plate. It appears to made of machined aluminum and/or alloy, possibly with some steel, most of which has a anodized finish. The tolerances are very tight and it operates very smoothly. This device fits in all Rousseau and the Bosch RA1200 router tables.
What it does: It allows for extreme precise height adjustment. Using a hex bolt atop simply turn to the right to raise or left to lower. It is that simple, no need to loosen something first or tighten after. One full turn equals 1/16" with numbers at 1/64" intervals and marks at every 1/512" in between. It lifts full up in around 30-40 turns for easy above the table bit changes.
Assembly: I was able to unlatch the quick-release cam lock level, drop in the router motor and latch with out adjusting anything right out of the box. A 7/16" bolt is used to tighten or loosen the tension if needed.
Was it worth it: The speed and accuracy of adjusting bit height is incredible. As is, removing and installing the router motor off the lift, which has no effect on previous setting. This allows for true one router motor for all bases. 5 stars.

awsome tool for the pricevery strong great features and is made by major manufacturer under skil name a real good buy. I use it at work and home and beats the yellow brand which I use to swear by ...
A real workhorseI have been using this for about six months and have almost retired my 110v drill. With two batteries, I never get a break between jobs and this drill has power to spare. I have been putting up a wooden fence on top of a concrete block wall and this thing outperforms my expensive 110v B&D. After only three 3/8" x 2 1/4" deep holes in the concrete, the AC drill was getting hot. The Skil worked right through without a complaint. The Bosch masonry bit isn't bad either. Additionally, I was drilling 1/2" holes in redwood plate and 1/4" holes in eighth inch metal strap as part of the masonry drilling. When drilling the metal and the bit first pokes through, the drill almost torques out of your hand. I did three battery changes for a day's work. The batteries charge quickly but, as a hint, fully drain the battery before recharging and let it cool off before putting in the charger. This applies to all DC tool batteries. The on-board bit carrier isn't much of a feature but its there if you need it. The drill is lighter than most DC tools costing much more, is well balanced and, at the highest torque setting will drive 3 1/2" screws into studs without maxing the clutch.
Amazing ValueI've been using supercheap 18-Volt drills (Power-Craft, Aerotec, etc.) that you can get on other sites for $30. After going through 3 of them, I finally decided to go with a name-brand. The difference in quality is unbelievable, and the price difference isn't that significant when you factor in the extra battery. I'm sure that Skil doen't even compare in quality to Dewalt, Milwalkie, and the other big "professional" names, but those names are twice as much, and for my purposes, this thing is perfect.

Power For DiggingI bought this product for digging. I also appreciated the contractor review previously done. I live in an area with poor soil and needed something that was easier to use than a pick. I got the spade and chisel bits. This rotary hammer works great. I dug holes or 8 plants in 20 minutes...and the machine did the work. The cost was well-worth saving my heart and back. I'm sorry that I didn't buy one of these 10 years ago!
Biggest bang for the buckRotary hammers are a big buck item so its important to consider all of them. I use this Bosch hammer in my electrical contracting business. Its small enough to handle easily and it is built to minimize the vibration that comes with drilling concrete. It can drill through concrete up to is specification and handle ground rod driving too. Buy this unit and the Bosch bits but consider the DeWalt accessories, like ground rod driver or spade bit, because they are usually less money.

Bosch is it for Rotary HammersI've owned an earlier version since 1982. It's taken more abuse than you can imagine. Other brands just don't compare to Bosch's.
The best spline drive hammer you can buy.I had one of these hammers for years. Let me tell you it's one tough tool. We abused it. It's made primarily for drilling with light chipping as an option. As a drill it excells. Faster than Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Hitachi. For its weight it hits hard. Where we abused it was in using it as a chipping hammer or more accurately a breaker. As a breaker it's pretty slow. So it would run for hours on end breaking concrete out in basements to access plumbing. The tool never gave up. It ran as good the day I sold it as the day I first took it out of the box. It was so used that the rubber grip on the handle was gone. I still got 175.00 for it. Why did I sell it? I upgraded to SDS max. It's better than spline. When they invent SDS super duper max, I'll probably upgrade again. If you have a lot of spline steel, you can't go wrong with this tool. If you don't,Buy the 11230EVS or the 11235EVS. The SDS max system is tighter, smoother and faster drilling than spline drive .

Fantastic for cutting metal onsiteI really love this tool. After using a 14" abrasive cut-off machines for years, it's a delight to use a saw that cuts so cleanly and precisely, makes few sparks, no smoke or smell, generates very little heat in the work, and that is portable. I would not hesitate to reccomend this tool.
Cut-off sawThis saw is powerful. It can cut thru 4 inch cast iron pipe with a new blade. It is easy to operate. The case is nice for storing blades.

strong sawOverall, this saw has worked really well for me. I don't work with it everyday like a framer would, but i think i have put it through my own tests. It has plenty of power for cutting sheet goods and 2 x lumber. When used with a staight edge, you can make perfect clean cuts that rival a table saw. The electric brake is a nice touch, it stops the noise faster, and i guess it's a decent safety feature too.
Of all the things i have used this circular saw for, the most greuling would have to be cutting slab granite. I have cut through some of the hardest stone on earth with this saw and a diamond blade. It comes through everytime, and does it accurately. there have been times the saw has been cutting for 20 minute intervals through very hard stone. That is why i have given 5 stars to this tool.

good sawThe saw is a really good saw i think that if you are a construction worker then you should get it. All the other saws were not as good as this one because it has a better angel on it, no other saw has the 15 amp motor or the deep cut on the max angel. I am going to go with Bosch i am going to buy a sliding compound saw for a great price! If bosch could only put out another better sliding compound saw then they would sell alot more saws. The bosch saw is the best!

Bosch is the BestNow that I have it, I can't live without it--Highly recommend
Bosch is the BestNo need to look or shop around, this is the one that you want. And we all know that Bosch makes great tools and this is no exception.
The router table is well thought out. The system, and thats the proper term to use, is best for someone who has only a router because it is designed to work only with the components that are made by Oak Park Enterprises. Example: The router base plates are 11" X 11" and fit into the router table, other base plates are 9"X12" etc. and dont fit. The base plate comes with a 1 1/2" center hole, so if you have brass of other metel guide rings they won't fit, You have to use the Oak Park guide rings and so on.
Some of the other things they sell come in "system" form, so once your in, your in!
With all that they sell books, video tapes of shows that were or are on P.B.S. that provide information to get you through the projects,
I am having lots of fun and making projects I didn't think I could. Now if I could only find a place to put my finished projects?
This router table is a keeper.
