What a tool for the PriceThis tool looks like and operates like the top of the line lifter sold by Rockler. It is great for us po folk.
If you want to make a router a tool, you need thisI have a Porter Cable 690 with the three optional handles: plunge, fixed and D..... nothing works as well as this. Simply attaching it to the bottom of a board doesn't work. The 'precision' of twisting the 690, then locking it in does not compare in the slightest with making repeatable 1/125" adjustments!
After making my first long cut, the lift seemed to shift upward, ruining my dado cut! I could not believe it! A few hours later of investigation, I realized it was not this lift, but the 1/4" bit was moving in the collet!
If you own a router, and do any precision work, get this product! Seriously! I teetered back and forth for months, ruining many projects.
I do recommend making your own table and fence however. It was easy, rewarding and likely a higher precision product at any price (mine cost $15 for a discarded office cubicle desk plank)
The savings of making your own table will justify buying an air filter (like I did today)
Thank you to Amazon for allowing us to write these reviews. It is only my 2nd one to write. Our family bases a large value on reviews and this product deserves my accolades.

micro fence in the professional shopI'm a professional mill and cabinet shop in Alameda, Ca. I use the micro fence daily and move it between 6 routers in moments. I have made some additional wooden fences that allow the cutter to get closer to an edge than the OEM fence. I have also discovered by reversing the edge guide on the circle cutting attachment I can make an inside radius of less than 6". The micrometer adjustment is so easy to use and allows the user to "sneak up" on a fit and completely take the guess work out of trying to get a good fit. This is an outstanding accessory for a router and well worth the cost, this tool should be in every shop. H Demmon Four Seasons Wood Works Alameda,Ca.
ACCURATE AND EASYThis is the most accurate and easiest method of cutting circles! Not only that, just by changing the mounting bar, you can adapt it to more than one make of router, which is also true for the edge-guide itself.
Using calipers, inlay work turns out perfectly, as do many of the other wordworking techniques. Plus, the edge-guide itself is better balanced and not as heavy as some of the other edge-guides in the market place. It is so versatile, that by buying a sub-base assembly and using my Model A mounting bar, I can even use it with my laminate trimmer!
The Micro Fence may seem like a lot of money, but, believe me, it's well worth it! I think of it as an investment in fine woodworking.

Mirka sanding discsThese discs were used with a Porter Cable sander. I used approximately 95 discs from this purchase restoring redwood decking. they did not clog or fill excessively and were extremely uniform in theri finish.

5 stars for product, 0 star for amazonUsually ships within 24 hours (Oh yeah...) That's what amazon said when I purchased it. It's been over a month and they replied with this and that excuses. Come on! I'll go and pick it up if you allow me.
Very fine, for your best projects, lasts longWhen I first bought my Bosch 3727DVS, I bought a box of the popular grades; 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 220, and 320. The 100, 120, and 150 are the most frequently used.To tell you the truth, I rarely use the 320. Local home centers sell the 5" variety, so if you are enjoying the additional cutting surface of a 6 inch, this is one of the best places to stock up.
I just went through over 50 boards of 80+ inch cedar, in three grades, and I only used about 10 sheets all combined. That is about 3 for each grade. The advantage to quality paper, is that you can get in a groove with some consistency. Instead of having cheaper paper that gives you the new disc agressiveness, then quickly to the used paper smoothness, which may be a grade finer, and miss the deeper lines from the coarser grade of paper in the previous step. Additionally the backing paper is stiff enough to do the job. That way you don't wind up with a buggered edge on your sander. The 6 hole paper is nice for the dust free environment. I simply attach a 2 1/2" vac hose to the dust port on my Bosch, which is way smaller than that, so a lot of air escapes. The vacuum draw that leaks around the inlet, sucks up that last 1% of the dust coming off the paper. It is still recommended to wear a mask because the shop vacs only capture to a micron or so. So technically you have a vac system that is actually a mini-part of a micron, invisible dust manufacturing plant. Over time, even that is a consideration. A good respirator, not a paper mask is advisable. A fresh air system is even better.
I had a body shop for 20 years, and after using the cheaper paper on the random orbit sanders, and winding up with a floor full of used paper, I can attest to the savings of using quality, aluminum oxide paper. It is actually cheaper, in addition to doing a better job. Highly recommended.

Skil 9250-01 8Amp Saw Found it very easy to handle. Blade changing was quick and very easy. Cut thru a 4 inch log smoothly and quickly.
PowerfulI recently bought this saw and am quite impressed with its power and versatility. It came with three saw blades, two for wood and one for metal. It's easy to handle and the speed dial and on/off switches are not in the least confusing. Sometimes, when working on a project, it's easy to get buttons mixed up and not get to the on/off switch soon enough. They're located in very ergonomically friendly spots which was super for me as a fairly inexperienced tool user. It's lightweight for me too being a female-type person. The vibration level was easy to handle too. There are many blades that can be purchased to do jobs not covered by the blades that came with it. The prices for these looked to vary from $5 to $30 which can increase options for this tool. I felt the price made it accessible for the common person who likes to do their own repairs and renovations while not sacrificing quality in the least. It brings out the inner amazon-worker woman in you. Great tool!
Great Saw, Great PriceI needed a recip for a job and didn't want to pay a lot as my helper has a nice Milwaukee so i bought this at Home Depot. Was I impressed, have used it for over 10 hours on jobsites in everything from steel to plastic and never had a problem. My helper with the nice Milwaukeee ends up using my Skil as it is easier to hold and doesn't vibrate so much. I highly recommend this saw.

Good ScrewdriverThis is a great little screwdriver to have around the house. It holds a charge for quite a while, the handle is easy to grip even for those who have small hands, and it articulates, so that you can get a better purchase on what you are doing. For more heavy-duty chores, the user might prefer the model with the stronger motor; the trade-off, however, is that the stronger motor is in a larger and heavier screwdriver.

Saw zilla!I purchaced this saw for a special reason, to cut through the top of a boat that had to have it's motors changed. This wasen't your everyday kind of job,but one where the material was 4.5 inches thick and needed to be cut on a 35 degree angle. It's performance was remarkable to say the least. Although it was a little on the heavy side, it was not hard to control. It's power was easy to control,a civil beast. Other than a few sharp edges on the saw parts, I'd say it was a pretty nice job on the conversion of it's former self to it's present form. The carbide blade was very good and hung in there cutting the fiberglass composit deck and although I know this was not it's intended use, it still performed great. Now is this saw worth it's price tag? That depends on you, but I'll tell you this, it sure was for me! And one last thing, be prepared for a lot of comments about the size of your saw,it is after all a godzilla of a tool. Hey, and you get a nice t-shirt too!

excellent for doing brute workUsed this hammer drill to bore 1-1/4 inch holes for lag bolts in foundation. Took about 5 minutes per hole when drilling to 6 inch depth. Probably would have taken less time with a sharper carbide bit, but Bosch has a powerful tool for what is a brutal job. Vibration while still present was less than I expected
