The home depot one seems slightly different? The colour of the metal and packaging.

These are strong bits. The points are not easily destroyed. A pack of 25 will last a homeowner a lifetime, and a contractor a pretty good while at that. (Provided you don't lose them like I do)

These tips hold firmly and don't wear down quickly. They stay hard and go on and on and on....... I'm jealous of them.

Clutch mechanism sets drywall screws to the proper depth and effectively turns your drill into a drywall screw gun. For the price of one drywall gun, you can pick up a couple dozen of these little puppies. One will last long enough to do at least a room full of drywall. For a few dollars, how can you possibly go wrong?

While updating my workshop, I needed to drill holes in 2x6 joists and 2x4 studs to run the electric down the length of the walls. The DeWalt DW245 had more than enough power to do the job. It cut through those studs like a hot knife through butter. A piece of advice, use the control handle...this drill will get away from you if you don't.

In addition to the fact that these bits snap in and out of the drill in the blink of an eye, they are of extremely high quality and will serve you for years. If you are looking to pick up some countersink bits, you've found the best system available.

This is the best of the Dewalt Rapid Load sets or of any other manufacturer. Unlike other brands, the Dewalt collar is spring-loaded so that you don't have to pull back the collar to insert a bit--like all the other ones force you to do. This is the best set because 1) it has a sturdy case that will organize most full-length hex-shank bits and 2) it doesn't include those useless magnetic-tip bits which you probably already have too many of anyway. To me, there's no point of putting a magnetic bit into a Rapid Load. The whole point of a Rapid Load is that it's NOT magnetic and holds the bits mechanically (they don't fall out). My only complaint is that the case doesn't hold some of my largest/longest bits.

It doesn't say it in the ... info, but this set includes 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" bits. Hex shank bits are more expensive than their non-hex shank counterparts, but they are definetely more convenient, and this set is quite economical as it includes the most popular sizes you're likely to drill into wood. I wouldn't go with reduced shank for metal bits because of the high torque, but for wood these are great. The brad points drill right where you want.

I have used these counter sinking bits for about 2 years now and am still very satisfied. The tapered point along with the deep flutes on the shaft make this a fast and smooth cuttig bit. The key is the deep fluting which get the wood chipps out of the hole and out of the way. There is no way to remove the bit half way through the cut to clear the chips. Also the countersink is ideal for installing buttons and plugs into.
