Every need to cut through a thick beam or reach that nail in a tight spot? This blade is great! I was a little skeptical at fist because the blade was so long but it is surprisingly sturdy. I have cut items that were hard to reach with just the tip with excellent control. I have also cut thick beams using the entire length of the blade without it getting bogged down. It is a great blade to keep in your case for those special projects.

This is a awesome buy, and a great value. My dad is hard to buy for but this is perfect. Dewalt blades are tough and last longer than most. And (...), it is a great value!

These 6 DeWalt reciprocating wood cutting saw blades are the perfect touch to your saws wood cutting needs. I was very impressed with the quality that was put into this blade. In most cases I was using two blades to cut out a small hole in a wall with my sears blades but these blades hold up better and last longer. Best of all the price is right. You won't go wrong with these blades.

I build houses out of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), see www.safecrete.com for more on them. AAC is a very soft concrete product that is very workable. Any tool that will cut wood will cut through AAC many times faster. I use a sawzall a lot to cut electrical and plumbing chases and outlets. The short stroke of a recipricating saw creates much less dust than a circular saw or router.
There are two reasons why these demolition blades work best for me. They are stiff. A thiner blade tends to curve inside the block when cutting. They have widely spaced teeth. AAC cuts so easy excavating the cut material is more of a concern. These larger wider spaced teeth offer better excavation of dust.

This is an old holdover from the Black & Decker days. This unit is one of the most durable units I've had the privilege of using. I've used this grider for over 18 years in the Ranch/Farm fabrication as well as Aerospace hardware fabrication. If I were ever put incharge every tool would have this durability. I would highly recommend this unit. For those of you not used to abrupt starts from a large "hand" tool take some caution with this large grinder it likes to try and get away. It would be nice however if Dewalt would update the grinder with a soft start and a tool brake. If you can not find this unit Milwaukee makes a close second.

Too bad Home Depot doesn't sell DeWalt bits anymore. What a stupid mistake. I'm sick of wasting my time with those junk Vermont American and other cheap bits that the local hardware stores sell. Maybe they get higher margins. I now buy online. I got this set from DeWalt. In comparison, the last VA set I got at Home Depot, the 3/8 bit completely broke apart drilling one measley hole into stucco! I have another old bit that has drilled 100s of holes into the same stucco with no significant wear. They don't make them like they used to with the exception of the DeWalt ones here. I've used these bits in concrete and they work GREAT. They have some weird-angled point that really works. Costs 2X, but these are well worth it. Comes with a, not great, but usable pouch.

well, okay, not that fast, but after drilling a couple of holes through a hardened concrete wall, very little wear on the carbide tip.

Thank you TOOL CRIB for carrying these odd size SDS concrete bits, I have not been able to find them anywhere else. These bits are perfect for use with concrete screws, and they out last the one's that come with the screws by about 4 to 1 or better and they cut drilling time as well.

The DW540 1 1/2" SDS Max Rotary Hammer did everything that we needed it to do and very well at that. Using the 1/2" bit, we drilled holes into shelf rock all day long with ease. And when it came to hammering out some rock to get our forms in, it did that very well also and with power to spare. It doesn't replace an 80 pound jack hammer but for the smaller jobs, I don't think you could ask for a better tool. My only regret is that I didn't buy this tool sooner! What would you call a drill that takes the abuse of drilling on a daily basis 5" holes in 3" or thicker cement? Then change out the bits and drill 1 1/2" holes through 6 inch thick poured walls? Not just one hole, but 8 of them. Then switch to the chisel bit and hammer the hole out to run pipe through. That's what kind of daily use our 'Big Boy' gets. Cutting those cement cores out, drilling, hammering - this tool will do for most light industrial applications. Plus, DeWalt has it ergonomically designed so that you can use it without beating yourself to death. All in all, one of the most useful tools in my inventory.
