DeWalt Review Great Bag
Fine bag. Well-made as you'd expect. Looks great. Expect to get years of trouble-free use.

DeWalt Review Not a bag it's a box!
When you look at this bag you think, why should I spend $60 on a tool bag when I can spend $35 on someone elses? It just doesn't make sense. Well here's why you should buy this one. Look at the pictures for the other bags. You will see bags that are similar and are full of tools. The difference is that these bags have their zippers in the middle of the top of the bag. So a full bag means it doesn't close. The Dewalt bag has the zipper around the top of the bag, so it's actually a lid. This is a nylon box! It's amazing how much you can cram into this bag. The question is how strong are you? I have 2, so now I walk around looking like a Neanderthal. This bag is strong and sturdy. No sagging in the middle. You'll never wear it out. I stuff nailers, saws, grinders in this bag. Nothing will destroy it. You could even take it to an airline and they couldn't destroy it. I've got 2 and I am going to buy my third. I like to be able to seal my tools into a bag so no one can see them. There are too many wandering eyes that want to steal my tools. In the long run this bag is worth it.

DeWalt Review The Bag
I really love this bag. It is extremely versatile and tough. I recommend any DIY to get one.

DeWalt Review You pay for what you get
I've had numerous cordless products over the years but none compare to this combo kit. I have only had it 2 weeks and wanted to use it more before reviewing but I tell you, this is one nice set of tools. Although I learned a long time ago to pay the money and get the best, I continually look for "deals". Well, this is a deal. The combo gave me a good value on 4 tools, 3 of which I really wanted, with the light a good bonus.

Impressed with the comfort and power. My neighbor is really jealous so this is a side benefit. I look forward to many projects and will update from time to time.

Wasn't formerly a big DeWalt fan but now I'm sold.

DeWalt Review "THE" do-all kit
I don't know how I got along with out this kit. The power, battery life, quality, and durability of these Dewalt tools are top of the line. I'd say these rank at the top with the Makita and Milwaukee kits. The DC988 drill works great, even after 2-3 years of use it is still as strong. I had only a small gripe because of the stiff cluch (even the lightest setting was to strong). The DC390 circ saw is great for quick cuts (when you don't want to pull out the miter or cords and the regular circ saw). The new DC385 saw is strong and can take the punishment (only grip is the front guard is easy to cut into, especially now with the new design that allows the blade to be mounted sideways, but it causes no real functional issues).
The price you pay for the Dewalt is the only downside, it seems to be the most expensive kit. But if you already have 18V dewalt tools...

The only weak part of the kit is the batteries. They will be the part that breaks when you drop it (usually the case, but sometimes the solder joints) I can't say that the same thing won't happen to the other kits, so don't make more out of it than it is... just try not to drop them. (ha ha)
I would like to find out if a smart charger could be bought for the packs. One that can discharge the pack and then pulse/reflex charge them back up with a peak charge cut off (instead of a temp or timed cutoff) I don't think the DW charger does any of that.

DeWalt Review A thing of beauty...
Where do I start?

I used to be a professional door/window/storm door installer for Lowe's & Home Depot and ran through the gamut of tools in my travels. I began with some low volt Black & Decker's and moved to a 14.4 Firestorm. Well the removable chuck on the Firestorm died after about a month, though it was a nice feature, leaving me drill-less.

Step in DeWalt DC4KITA...

I purchased this kit and instantly fell in love. The power, the battery life, everything was extremely impressive. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought a second one for my father. From lag bolts to 4" wood screws to light duty drywall screws to paddle-bit drilling, the drill in this kit handles everything I continue to throw at it. The reciprocating and circular saws speak volumes about the DeWalt quality (thus I learned my lesson pertaining to Black & Decker <==> Consumer; DeWalt <==> Commercial). And the addition of the light is really just an added bonus. As for all-in-one packages, you will find no better choice than the DeWalt DC4KITA!

DeWalt Review Dewalt Tools Really Are The Best!!
I bought this router because I needed to make some fancy doors on cabinets I was building. This is a great tool. The router is powerful and did not have any problems cutting through hard oak. This is a great kit because sometimes you don't need the plunge base and it's much easier to cut free hand with the fixed base, smaller, more sleek. The dust collection in the plunge base isn't that great but that could be because my shop vac isn't that powerful. I have used this tool a lot and would buy it again if I had to do it over.

DeWalt Review A must have for any woodworker!
I was volunteering in a workshop and they had this Dewalt router kit. I was amazed at how quiet and smooth this router was and bought one myself! It is nicely designed. The grips are very comfortable. It is easy to change between the two bases. I love the rpm ramp up feature...this prevents the router from jolting to a start. It comes with a nice case and 5 router bits.
One slight complaint I have is that the on/off switch is hard to reach when both of your hands are on the handle. It is at the top of the router motor unit and is just out of the reach of my thumb.
Dewalt has another winner on its hands!

DeWalt Review DeWalt's presence in router market is strengthening!
I have researched routers for the past 2 months. I've been in stores, felt them all, looked at them all. Read every review here on Amazon.com and all of those "free reviews" i could read on the internet as well as patwarner.com.

I really really wanted a Porter Cable because I heard they are the best. I didn't like the crude nature of the 690 and I didn't want to twist the MOTOR to move the freaking bit up and down. I'm just getting into woodworking and I wanted something that felt just right. After going into Woodcraft and Lowe's and Home Depot, I chose the DeWalt over the newest Porter cable because:

1) the 890 series, while it feels solid and looks great, has some shortcomings with quality parts--especially the plunge base. It has a PLASTIC depth marker--and some aren't even CLEAR so you have no idea what depth you are at.
2) the dewalt's plunge is the smoothest out of ALL other routers with bosch's and makita's being tied for 2nd. Porter cable's was very very stiff and didn't feel natural. I would be scared i would mar the workpeice pushing down so hard on the dang thing.

Bottom line- I tried and tried to love the new porter cable. And I do, but not as much as the newest Dewalt. However, I still will probably go with their 3 1/4 horse, and a 890 D-Handle if they ever make it.

DeWalt Review Very good grinder for the price.
This grinder is very quiet and it has plenty of power to sharpen your blades. It does not vibrate like the other grinders that I looked at. I wish it had a light to go with the grinder though.

DeWalt Review Great for farm work too!
I have had this kit for over a year and a half. I use the drill for lots of chores even use it in the chicken houses for water lines(raising and lowering) and feed lines(lowering). The saw is great for all those little maintenance chores that would be a pain to have to take a cord with you also. Also great for fence repairs when you are out "in the north 40". A must have. Just wish I would have got the recp. saw too.

DeWalt Review a must for every homeowner
I bought this combo pack over a year ago. As a maintenance contractor, this set has been a godsend. I do everything from remodeling, new home additions, cabinet making, and about every kind of home repair you can imagine. The Dewalt drill has performed flawlessly since I pulled it out of the box. And believe me, I have put it through everything I know possible. From drilling through oak to anchoring in concrete. The saw is also a very handy tool for most every job around the house. It's small and light enough to use freehand with one hand. My only problems: the 6 1/2" blades are a pain to find and the saw tends to drain batteries fairly quickly. In my line of work, I have used everything from Makita to Craftsman. My advise: spend the extra money once on a dewalt and you'll never regret it.

DeWalt Review Best finish nailer on the market
I am a professional carpenter and this finish nailer is the best i have worked with. Easy to load, easy to use, easy to fix jams. Great tool, but i got mine at lowes, they have a offer on where u will get a 18v rip saw, 2 batteries, charger and a good tough carry bag with the nailer, all for $400. Better deal if u ask me.

DeWalt Review Great Product
I have been a carpenter for years and have never liked the Dewalt products but I must say I think I am a changed man. I bought this nailer b/c I didn't want to have to deal with gas cartridges of paslode or PC. I have only used this nailer for about a month but so far it has been great to say good bye to dealing with hoses.

Each time I use this nailer I wish my crown stapler and framing nailer was cordless - I would be able to clear up about 2 feet in my truck by getting rid of the compressor.

DeWalt Review Must have tool for trimming, chair rail, and crown molding.
It's an expensive tool but it's a good investment. It saves so much time and leave very mark on the wood. It's great for hang doors too. HD guys didn't know and tell me that the Porter Cable would be fine and jammed once a while. When I switched to the Paslode Nail, it hasn't jammed since then.

DeWalt Review Dewalt DW124K
I bought the DW124 several years ago, when it was the only drill of it's kind. The other alternative at that time was mainly the stubby Milwaukee Hole Hawg, which was what I had used up until that point. Makita also made a Hole Hawg look-alike but wasn't readily available in my area back then.
The Hole Hawg was fast and had lots of torque but the short body length made it difficult to control. The bulky gear case behind the chuck and the extended motor housing made it too wide to get into really tight spots. It also required you to stay on top of it at all times or it had a nasty tendency to wrench your wrist and shoulder, smash your hand against a wall, bruise your kidneys or pound your upper thigh mercilessly all day long. In addition, when working from a ladder it could throw you off if the bit began to bind up and you didn't react quickly enough.

I now use the Dewalt drill on the job almost every day and even though it is well worn, it has never given me any trouble.

It is fast and has plenty of torque. The long body and handle gives the operator more leverage, making it much safer and easier to control, which is probably why both Milwaukee and Makita copied it and came out with their own similar models last year. I have tried both the new Makita RAD and Milwaukee super hawg and even though the DW124 has a lower 8-amp motor and slightly lower RPM's in both high and low speeds, I still prefer the DW124. Mainly because the Dewalt's chuck is further forward and the top leading edge of the gear case is beveled, so with the bail handle removed, as it always is on my drill, it will fit into even tighter spaces than the others will.
The DW124 is reversible and has two speed ranges. It utilizes a clutch when in low speed to prevent the torque of a jammed bit from snapping your wrist.
I use it with hole saws up to a 4-5/8" with either a 6", 12" or 18" extension. Dewalt says the maximum hole saw size is 6". It is also used with self-feed auger bits up to 4-5/8" and "nail eater" ship auger style bits up to 1-1/2 X 18".
The DW124 kit consists of a steel storage case, adjustable bail handle and a threaded side handle.
An important advantage that Dewalt has over other power tool manufacturers is easy access to repair parts and technical information. You can get parts and tech bulletins online, direct from Dewalt's Service Net. Parts are also available through Grainger Parts Operation. This can be a huge time and cost saving convenience for owners that repair their own tools, as I do.
A drill like the DW124 is a necessity for contractors working in the plumbing, electrical, HVAC and pipe fitting trades, because with the fast pace of construction and high cost of skilled labor these days, you really can't compete or work efficiently without having at least one on the job.
This is a very solid tool and I will definitely be buying another when the time comes. I would also have no problem recommending it to anyone who works in the trades and needs to drill many large holes quickly.

DeWalt Review DeWalt is the best
I use alot of tool and seem to like the Dewalt products the best as far as performance and wear and tear. If I have a choice between Dewalt and another product, my choice is always dewalt! Great quality product at an affordable price.

DeWalt Review GREAT DRILL
I bought this drill to use in my work. I works great. It has a good reputation in the trades too. I have spoken with plumbers who use it and they like it a lot. It is a USA made tool and is built to last. I wish all my tools were made this well. I got this drill at Tool-up with free shipping. They are in CT. It was 299 and I love it.

DeWalt Review great for hobbyist use
Good set for working with soft metals with one caveat: upon penetration these bits pull the worked piece towards the drill quite agressively. Otherwise they are very effective, and the extra bits offer that assurance that you won't have to pause a project should you accidentally break one of those sizes.

The case is a bit bulky compared to other drill sets, but that's actually a good thing -- it's deep enough and there's enough extra space above the large bits to hold a 1/4" cordless screwdriver/drill chuck adaptor. (YMMV, mine is a Skil #92170)

DeWalt Review DEWALT DW1263 13-Piece Cobalt Split-Point Drill Bit Set
DEWALT DW1263 13-Piece Cobalt Split-Point Drill Bit Set: Nice set product and packaging wise!

DeWalt Review Great - cuts like I'm drilling soft wood all the time
I bought htese because my old drill kit was missing a few bits and they were getting old. I had no idea how dull they were until I bought these. The effort required to drill holes was minimal. No more pushing hard and smoking holes from the heat of a dull bit.

Sure, I could have sharpened my old bits, but for the cost of a Drill Doctor, I can buy enough of these sets to last a lifetime.

DeWalt Review Great torque
I purchased this drill because I wanted a powerful 1/2" drill. I like this drill because its rpm's match its purpose. I originally purchased the same drill with 2 speeds and the hammmerdrill function. I thought it was to big and really didn't like worrying about something else to break. The rpm range is ideal for heavy drilling. I received the drill, contractor bag and a set of spade bits for $99.00. I tried the drill out using a 1 inch spade bit through an 8 inch oak branch. It drilled straight through and never bogged down. I am glad I got the 7.8 amp drill versus the 6.7 amp drill. I really recommend this drill.

DeWalt Review Every tool box needs one
This is the toughest drill I have ever used that stands up to everyday use. Be careful to use the handle, that this drill comes with, otherwise the drill will easily overpower you!
Enjoy!

DeWalt Review Dewalt is 'THE' Drill
Upon initial examination, the Dewalt DW235G is a very well made 1/2" drill. I purchased it because I needed to drive bits (.75", .875", 1", 1.25" w/ 1/2" shank) that were large enough for toggle bolts fit through. It did what it is supposed to without a hitch. Since then, I have used it for a variety of household projects. I can recommend this drill to anyone who needs a 1/2" drill without reservation.

DeWalt Review Works as advertised
Dado cuts are smooth and clean - no ridges. Corners are crisp and 90 degrees. Case for storage is excellent and with wide selection of metal shims you can get just about any width of cut you desire. Highly recommend. Why pay double the price for the high end other product when this will do the job just as well?

DeWalt Review Very Good Value
I purchased this set after researching several other sets from various manufactures. This was the only dado set in its price range that includes a 3/32 inch chipper. I have used this set to make dadoes in hard maple, cherry, and birch plywood with excellent results. There is virtually no tearout in any of the above materials, the grooves are perfectly flat on the bottoms with very shallow scoring grooves which completely disappeared in the box joints I made. The groove widths are exact requiring no additional shimming to get a perfect fit. After using this set on several projects it appears to be one of the best values out there in an excellent quality dado set, and it even comes in a very good case.

DeWalt Review awesome dado
great dado set!!! clean flat bottom cuts little tearout couldn't go wrong for $200 yet $100 wow! No problem achieving 29/32 cut on my r-dgid 3650 without the outer washer. awesome!
