Generic name to me but works well and lasts as well as any other I have used.

DeWalt Review Furniture builder
This is the best paper a woodworker can purchase. I've tried other hook and loop for my DeWalt orbital and have found none better as far as finished work. This papers life expectancy is greater than the competators paper also. Enough said just use it

DeWalt Review Charles D. Wallin
We have used the Mirka PSA papers purchased from our former supplier, now ourt of business. We have been looking for a source to purchase a paper with a good sanding life that does not fill. We use it on raw wood or finished. We are also, at times, required to use Mirka to sand strip furniture and when we do, we experience three to four time the life of other highily recommended papers. Mirka is tough, dependable, and leaves a good surface for finishing. We are PLEASED to find another source for this quality sanding paper. Our experience speaks to us Mirka if your looking for a quality result!!!!!!!

DeWalt Review Decent replacement so far
My Dewalt drill sat unused for almost a year, both batteries dead. I bought one of these batteries recently and have only had to charge it twice in about 2 weeks of moderate use. I'm definitely happy with it so far. I forgot how much I loved having my Dewault cordless drill around. I'd buy it again. Curious to see how long it lasts. My guess is it will last as long as the originals. Batteries are batteries.

DeWalt Review Keep that old drill going strong
My former landlord gave me a dewalt 12 volt drill (with two batteries and smart charger) when my wife and I bought a house three years ago. After three years of putting up crown molding, fencing, a closet, and countless other projects, the drill seemed ready to give up the ghost. However, these little gems have revived my trusty dewalt (just recently I heard that I should not have discharged the batteries all the way down before recharge. Being an old school, wary-of-nicad-memory, kind of guy, I always tried to grind them down to nothing before recharge). Who knows? Anyway, these replacement gems work great. Highly recommended.

DeWalt Review Quality Replacement
I was unsure of buying a non-DeWalt battery for my drill. Fortunately, this battery has performed exactly the same as my original batteries. I like it so much, I purchased two.

DeWalt Review Expensive, but worth it!! Nice Quality, Sturdy, Functional
I am not an electrician, just a homeowner, but do my own maintenance and remodeling. I needed a new tool pouch, as tools were falling out of my old one, so I really shopped hard, & finally settled on this one. The Klein model, popular with electricians is nice, but I feel this one is superior, and was only $3 more than the Klein.

I agree with another reviewer, this piece is better than it looks in pix. The leather is thick, high quality, very sturdy. There are more tool compartments than the Klein. This will hold a lot of tools! --for me, my regular tools, plus a few extras specific to the job at hand. I use it for all kinds of home maintenance & remodeling, not just electrical work. When I have other hardware trinkets, parts, etc, to carry, I put my carpenter's pouch on the other side of my tool belt, and put those items in it. Then I hang my screw gun on a Husky hook designed for same on the tool belt, and I'm fully outfitted.

My suggeston--if you're shopping for a new tool pouch, give this one a look.

DeWalt Review Everything I needed
As a weekend warrior, this pouch has performed excellent. Strong, has plenty of dividers for all of my tools, pencils, etc. Not too big, but fits everything well. I'll soon be working commercially and think it will hold up well.

DeWalt Review A Winner!
This is the fourth pouch I've tried, in a relatively short time, and clearly the best I could find, for any price. The beefy, riveted construction makes me confident that I will not be shopping for one again in the near future. This is a well-designed pouch for an electrician. With the large number of pockets, dividers, and loops, I have an intelligent place to keep every tool. I don't have to rummage through a pocket to find something that has slipped out of place, I can keep my eyes on my work and grab what I need from exactly where I keep it. The thick leather grips my tools much better than nylon, saving me trips down the ladder to retrive lost items. Plus, I'm certain it will wear better. (I wore out a nylon pouch purchased from a home center in 30 days, carrying less tools!) The tape chain and the metal, measuring-tape clip (not shown in photo) are useful as well. I can simply, comfortably carry more tools in this tough pouch than any other I've tried or seen on the jobsite. I heartily recommend it.

DeWalt Review Excellent reciprocating cordless saw
I had bought a Sears 19.2V cordless reciprocating saw which came with 2 batteries. However, the batteries would not hold a charge (both of them) and the brief time it work the saw seem to bog down. Believe I paid about $110 for the Sears. After the returned the Sears unit I purchase the Dewalt and couldn't be happier. Used it to cut wood and metal with excellent results. It's heavier than the Sears model but the Dewalt really works well and the battery has staying power. I paid $179 for the Dewalt with free Amazon shipping. As always its best to spend a little more money and get a quality unit.

DeWalt Review Worth the Price
This tool is quite powerful and last a long time on a single battery. This was part of the DC6KITA. I have tested each tool and have reviewed some. This one is not exception. On a fresh battery and with the supplied blade I continual cut 2x4's until my hand was sore from holding on. The power is nice. It did not seem too bog when pushed hard through the wood. Battery life suprised me by never giving up. On a full demo job where cutting throught various materials is necessary it might show it's weakness in longevity.

Having purchased a 1/2 rebar to test the DC410 cut-off tool, I proceed to test the DC385 with a 18tpi metal blade. It worked quite well. The power was still there. No bogging. Of course pressure was needed to help the teeth bite, but that is to be expected.

Also the adjustable shoe is a new feature. It does not have much range of motion but at least it is there.

For most all home projects this is going to be a wonderful tool. In owning many XRP batteries and having several chargers, I don't forsee buy a corded saw. I have given this 5 stars, but there is only one thing that slightly bothers me. The blade is not centered in the shoe becuase of the 4 way blade clamp. Now I gave it the 5 because I would rather have the 4 way clamp than have it centered.

DeWalt Review Heavy Duty Durable Tools
This is an outstanding kit. I had a Dewalt 18v drill and needed a rip saw and circular saw, but at $200 -$250 each it just made sense to get this kit for $599 w/ free shipping. Plus the rebate for a free tool, which I ordered the jigsaw. I did debate getting the Craftsman or Rigid kit for about half the price. So what sold me on DeWalt? I noticed during a NASCAR race, after a mutli-car wreck, that several teams were using the DeWalt 18v Reciprocating Saw cutting away fenders! I didn't see anyone using Craftsman, Rigid, or Bosch?

I started using the kit immediately. The first project was a double tier floating deck at about 600 sq ft:

Rip saw with a 9" blade went thru 6x6 treated posts with little effort.

Hammer drill drove about 500-600 deck screws quick and controlled. It also went thru the concrete without hesitation.

Circular saw is great as well, trimmed deck boards, cut angles on the posts, and portability is so nice when you don't have to worry with cords.

Cut off tool is wonderful; I usually had to use the torch but it was always a hassle getting the tank moved around to the job, but I walked my fence row a trimmed 15 tension bars in about 8-9 mins.

Only down side was the XRP batteries held up for 2 posts on the rip saw and then it was dead. The drill and circular saw did what I expected as far as lifetime. The only thing that I did not like was the Hot/Cold feature on the charger. I had an older battery that this feature never affected, but the new XRP batteries seemed to always set this off. The manual says it helps extend the overall battery life, but this needs to be remembered if you only have a couple of batteries. When this "Feature" is on the batteries DO NOT charge! So the quick 1 hour charge they advertise now takes 2-3 hours (1-2 hours for the "Cool Down" and an hour to charge it).

Tools did an amazing job. Overall I am VERY satisfied and will continue to buy DeWalt.

DeWalt Review Finally!
Been using the 18V DeWalt tools on the job where we put them through hell. Yes, we smoked some drills and fried some batteries but the tools went down fighting. Been watching the sales at Lowe's & HD hoping to finally get myself a good set of cordless tools for the house. I have to tell you, this kit at this price on Amazon....well, I couldn't match it anywhere else. I don't know how they do it but Amazon always seems to have what I'm looking for at very attractive pricing. Anyway, I finally have a kit that has everything I wanted and more. You'll wonder how you lived without a right angle drill. Only complaint is that the portable light is pretty much a waste - would have preferred a jigsaw. I know folks have complained about the 18V batteries not lasting but I've never had that problem. Just wish they weren't so expensive to replace when they do finally die.

DeWalt Review Outstanding Kit
Traveling out to client location and installing cabinets and fixtures, this is a must have kit...It is amazing what power these items have.

DeWalt Review Dewalt
Great saw, great service, great price. Couldn't have found a better deal anywhere, and couldn't have found a better saw. The tremendous service and delivery from the Amazon.com people is unbelievable.

DeWalt Review No need for cords, unless you want them....
I have the entire 24V kit, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I like the AC/DC converter feature, so that when the uncommon dead battery situation happens, you're not left without power. DeWalt: How about a 24V jig saw, plate jointer, miter saw and handheld planer? I'll buy them whenever they come out.

DeWalt Review Better than a burning torch
I cut a 3.5" solid hardened steel blower shaft in half with this saw with one blade, faster than if I hauled a oxy/act rig up to the roof, or ran around trying to tap off power somewhere for a corded saw. This saw never stalled once and still had plenty of power left in it. This is one heck of a time and energy saver for me. Believe it from me, I'm a Commercial Air Conditioning Repairman.

DeWalt Review Nice, but could be improved
I tried three David White Mark 4 laser devices before I bought the DeWalt. Two of the Mark 4's had indistinct oval blobs instead of sharp dots, the third actually had a broken window. The dot produced by the DeWalt DW082K is far superior. It has a small cross with a sharp, bright dot in the center. It works great, but could use some improvement in the dampening system. A slight movement of the unit causes the beam to deflect wildly for several seconds before completely stopping. I marked spots on the floor and ceiling as indicated by the laser dots. I then rotated the DW082K in 90 degree increments for the full 360 degrees. Each time, the laser dots exactly covered the marked spots. I concluded that it is very accurate, at least for my use.

DeWalt Review Laser Plumb Bob
I have owned this for about three weeks now, and it has been a life saver.
A lot of my lighting installations have been on sloped ceilings and with this Plumb Bob, layout was fast and accurate.
I would recommend this to anyone needing accurate placement of lights, fans, etc.

DeWalt Review Great for big jobs
If you have enough room to work, i.e. not under a house or in the rafters this is the one to use. I have a smaller saw I use and bought this one because of the extra power. Just use a good blade in the saw. I used a cheap one the saw chewed it up and spit it out. I then used one of the dewalt blades and it was smooth for cutting cast pipe.

DeWalt Review Great saw for tearing up your house
If you are doing demolition, this is a great saw to have. If I had it to do over again I would buy the DW309, but that's just because I like lots of power. This saw has cut through everything that I have asked it to. I just finished tearing out a kitchen, and pulling out a ceiling soffit. Nothing slowed it down. The depth adjustment is a nice feature. Occasionally you don't want to send your blade through the next wall. You can at least knock off about 1 1/2" in blade length with the depth adjustment. A previous review wrote about the plastic lever to release the blade. Now a days most plastic is harder than metal. It feels like a composite of nylon and plastic. In 2 years of use mine has never given me trouble. Blade changes take about 5 seconds. It always works. The blades are always secure. The saw also comes with a relatively long cord. That's nice because on small projects I don't always want to pull out the extension cord. In fact, I nearly did my entire kitchen with nearby wall sockets. Enjoy your destruction.

DeWalt Review First Recip saw - unbelievable help
This was an amazingly valuable tool and I have no qualms about recommending it to someone who needs a saw to cut into studs or a major demolition repair project. I had an infestation of termites that ate into a first floor exterior wall, and I had only 1 1/2 weekend days to fix it, never having done this before and having a business trip at the weeks start. Since the rental stores were closed - I bought this to help cut the studs. I got the 6" wood blade (it comes with a 4" bimetal. Okay, I was ignorant (I didn't know it cut nails), but I was flabbergasted when I just sliced through nails - so I didn't have to pound or peel off siding and seperated nailed together studs. It cut the studs in a snap (I did have a jackstand holding up the beam). Sill plate went in a flash too. I was able to replace all of the spoiled wood and a safety margin well ahead of any hand tools, plus there's some things, like cutting nails from one side, I couldn't have done. Really did the job. My only note is that they should include a 6" wood blade with this (in addition to the bimetal). It's also a limited use tool - It's impossible to do any kind of a nice wood working cut - you can do a sort of striaght cut for a reinforced support 2/4 to go under (with bracing on both sides of the join). This is for removing things only, also good on branches.

DeWalt Review Time To Upgrade
First let me say that 97% of my portable electric tools and air staplers/nailers are from Porter Cable. They and Delta remain my standards for comparison. I broke my old PC 348 jigsaw and nearly cried when I was told that most critical parts are no longer availabe. But then, I purchased it back in the late 70's so it has been a true workhorse. So what to replace it with? After much research and hands on at various tool stores I settled on the DeWalt DW331 and let me tell you that this is one fine machine in every way and that the yellow D can be very proud of this product. I rate it a full 10. Wonder if I can get 20+ years out of this one - I think perhaps. Best feature - the ability to flush cut to the wall. WOW!! The vibration is minimal, the adjustments are rock solid, the grip is as good as gets for a top handle, and jeesh there is gobs of power. Buy this one if you want to own the current standard for corded jigsaws. Oh, the yellow means it can't hide in the pile - it's like its saying "I'm over here, silly".

DeWalt Review the best I use so far
Over the years, I have used jig's from others companies, and by far this is a sweet saw, the blade changer is great. and it just flows thur wood. I would buy another, and wonder why it took me so long to buy this one.

DeWalt Review Best Jig Saw ever!!
I work in a car audio install bay. We use and abuse a jig saw on a daily basis. I bought this Dewalt to replace a Bosch that our shop has used for years. The Dewalt outperforms any other jig saw that we've used in our shop. A+

DeWalt Review Good Quality, Excellent Value
I have purchased every grit of Mirka sanding disks from Amazon, and I find them to be good quality. The price per disc works out to be a great value if you purchase them in packs of 50.

I used these disks on my Bosch random-orbit sander. The hook-and-loop backing is strong and holds on through rough sanding. The aluminum oxide sanding material lasts for a good amount of time. I've used them on a variety of wood surfaces, and I have used them to remove paint, and they last long enough to take down a lot of material. I have bought other brands of sanding discs that do last longer, but the Mirka discs definitely hold up well.

The discs are packaged in a sturdy box with a cover, which makes it easy to dispense them as needed. Also, having them stored in a box keeps them clean, which helps the hook-and-loop function. This actually helps out a lot in the shop. Other brands come wrapped in plastic, and you have to find a container for them, or let them sit on a shelf and get full of sawdust. I appreciate this extra touch.

The paper stock is somewhat thin, but this does not really affect their use. Since they are stored in a box, they stay flat. Other brands, which are stored in bags, get curled up on the edges.

Bottom line: these are good quality sanding discs that last for a good amount of time, are a good value for the money, and are packaged in a convenient way.

DeWalt Review Perfect - rough as can be
This is excellent stuff for those *really* tough jobs where you'd start thinking about getting a planer or similar "big" guns. Used this on my Makita orbital sander (which it fits just fine, in spite of the missing listing in the specs), and it stands up to punishment. Worked over a couple of 6x6 pressure treated beams and could get a reasonably nice finish pretty fast. These disks last surprisingly long, considering the work they perform. Also tried to use this to sand down a rusty old steel bulkhead coated with enamel, but the 60 grit doesn't cut it - you'll still need a steel brush head and lots of elbow grease for that kind of work.
