I bought this base for my 36-717 hybrid table saw because Amazon listed it as an accessory for that model. I could find no information on which base to use on the Delta web site. The base comes with a list of all Delta mobile bases, and this one does appear to be the closest fit.

The base is very well constructed, and very heavy duty. The foot lever works well for lifting the base up onto its rollers and locks in that position with confidence. However there was a 3/4" - 1" gap between the front and sides of the saw cabinet and the base sides. This allowed the saw to shift if the base were down on its stabilizer feet and you pushed the saw. I considered making a couple of wooden shims to fill the gaps, but instead I pulled the saw back out of the base and glued a piece of automotive inner tube to the flanges that support the saw in each corner of the base. Once I set the saw back in the base, I could push on it all I wanted and it wouldn't shift at all.

Amazon is living in dream world for selling this base for $118.91. I bought this same base for $48.28 at Hechinger.com. They're not even in the ballpark. Anyway the mobile base is a very sturdy base and you won't be sorry for getting this item. It is built to be used with 14" Delta band saws.

This is a great American made tool. Buy it! It really moves the air. You are paying for a big metal box, a powerfull blower and some control electronics.

Beware: It is VERY heavy for one person.
The remote is a must have if you plan to mount the thing on the ceiling.

Only 4 stars because the bag filter is very expensive to replace and I don't think Delta is offering electrostatic or charcoal filters for this size unit (20" x 24" - so you could go aftermarket). Otherwise, 5 stars.

Compared to the DP200 which is 20% to 33% more expensive, this drill lacks only (1) a work light, (2) uses a clamp to adjust the table height instead of gear and hand-crank, and (3) has only about 8" of travel on the quill instead of the 10" on the DP200. For the money, this is the better deal. You can often find the DP115 on sale and at that price it is a great starter drill for wood, metal, and other hobby and other work. I've used mine with sanding drums to also avoid the cost of a standalone drum sander in my home shop.

Table Saw arrived in good condition on a pallet. If you look at the box around the saw, check the indicator to see that it has NOT been tipped over. Also, when saw arrived I only received the saw itself and had to wait for the two ther packages. Saw setup was HORRIBLE. I can't stress that eneough. I was missing pieces and some of the pieces I received were of the wrong size. If you buy this saw and attach the cast iron wings do NOT use the lock washers provided as they were too small and resulted in the wings not lining up. I reccomend buying other larger washers and you will save yourself much grief. Also, I reccomend checking that all the necessary bolts, nuts, etc. are all accounted for as then you will only have to make one trip to the hardware store to pick up more instead of two or three. Otherwise after assembly, this saw works like a dream. I was also surprised to find out that this saw comes with a factory installed brake which was really a nice feature. Also, if your buying the mobile base with this saw DON'T do it! The mobile base they reccomend (Delta 50-289 Mobile Machine Base for Unisaw with 52" Unifence) does not fit and I had to jerry rig mine securely with L-brackets. This saw is great though. The unifence that came with it was dead on and required no adjustment. The only thing I had to tweak was the positive stop on the 0 degree mark, but the 45 degree tilt was dead on. Do yourself a favor and purchase this saw as it is a great price for all the features that are packed in it. Also, I would highly reccomend the Forrest Woodworker II Blade as it rips through hardwoods no problem and leaves no chip out on the various plywoods I have used. Let it be noted too that Amazon price matches, so shop around online and they will match the price you find. Great saw at a great price, just a pain in the butt to setup.

I have found the GR250R reconditioned grinder a good machine for the price. I really like the variable speed control, it comes in handy when sharpening blades. The motor is quiet with very little vibration. The lower speed helps in preventing overheating the metal. A extra tool rest would have been nice since the one with the drill bit grove cannot be used for regular grinding, especially at an angle. Other than that I have no complaints

The condition of the grinder was the same as new. It runs with only a minimum of vibration and the included large white stone is exactly right for the sharpening that this tool is meant to do. The smaller white stone works well also. The only problem I see is that when the grinder is positioned where I want it, the small wheel is lower than I would like. Since the primary sharpening is done on the large wheel and the small one mainly is used to rough-out edges, this has not been a big concern. The tool rest for the large wheel is adequate for most of my uses but I probably will make an auxiliary rest for sharpening my turning gouges. The tool is a joy to use.

I purchased this sander locally. Took it home and had it up and operational within 10 minutes. You don't need a mount or special base for this. I set it up on a sheet of plywood without securing it and it's pleanty heavy to stay put. The only issue I see is that you have to pretty much disassemble it to change the disk paper (hence the one star off). I can live with it. Well worth your $$$$$.

I wanted to buy a fence for my Jet bandsaw at the time of purchase. The dealer told me not to buy the factory fence but get this one instead.

I don't like the bolts supplied for the Taiwaneese saw installation. I gave it a 4 star rating for that. The rest of it is fine.

You can adjust it with washer shims to help compensate for blade drift in long cuts. The accessory for resawing seems easier to use and it's pretty tall.

There is some deflection under sideways pressure, not a lot but some that I'd rather not have. You could actually eliminate it by mounting a longer extrusion as the fence and using the shorter one at the rear. You'd have to essentially buy 2 fence kits and combine the parts. I'm not sure it's worth it.

I had to saw some 2x4's 36 inches long and at a 45 degree angle. The fence kept getting stuck when I tried to readjust it. Every single time it would bind under the adjustment knob. I lower the rating to 3 stars for that binding.

On the plus side, I'm able to slide the fence back infront of the blade so it won't get stuck trying to cut on a 45 degree angle which I don't think you could do with the factory fence.

I do like the optional high extrusion for resawing. I'm just not completely satisfied overall. it's a compromise.

The only mention of the type of materials used in this showerhead is "chrome." I mestakenly assumed the showerhead would be made of chrome metal - it's not. It is plastic. The performance of the showerhead is great as I expected. But I wanted the durability of metal.

I ordered the Delta 14-651 during the special promotion. Even though the shipping box was okay, the head was cracked. The head does not attract a magnet, so it is not iron. It looks and feels to be cast aluminum, maybe magnesium. Amazon told me to send it back for a refund, they are all out. Not sure if I will return it or take it to a Delta repair center. To bad. Besides the head, the rest of the machine looks to be cast iron. After all this time, I am suprised Delta has never fixed the problem.

Cons: I don't understand why Delta put plastic/rubber fence lockdown knobs on such a well built machine. I broke one on the first day and the other is soon to follow. I'll have to engineer a better quality knob since Delta doesn't know how to. Other than that, and the other minor issues discussed in other reviews, I am pleased with the performance and body construction. I'd buy it again if the price needs was under $200.00 due to the average quality bits.
