Delta Review Exaclty what I expected!
Replaced the outdated fence system that came with my Rockwell saw. I had to drill 4 new holes as the Delta/Rockwell spacing is not the same. Added new left and right extension tables. Install was less than 3 hours...2 hours building extensions. After a couple minutes of calibration, cutting to within 1/64" is repeatable. I choose this model over the universal fence as the color matches my saw. I highly recommend this fence.

Delta Review Great Fence -Easy to Install and Use
I have an older Delta contractor saw in my garage workshop. I replaced the original fence with the beisemeyer 28in fence. It was straight forward to install. All the needed hardware was provided and the holes in the bars matched the holes in the saw table. Aligning the fence with the miter slot was simple. I just turned one of the set screws. The replacement, including removing the old fence, took about an hour.

The fence is just a pleasure to use complared to the old fence. No more using the tapemeasure to adjust the fence spacing to the saw blade. Also no more measuring twice to check that the fence was parallel to the miter slot. I just position the hairline over the tape reading desired and it is ready to cut.

The fence slides easyly over the table and locks in place by light operation of the locking lever. I am very pleased with it.

Delta Review This saw rocks.. Tool Cribs service Is another matter though
So far I like everything about this saw.. I purchased it to resaw birdseye maple.. which it does VERY well... Its some tough wood.. but the 1 1/2 horse motor doesnt miss a beat. The fence isn't exceptional, but is certainly sufficient...I will certainly add additional Delta tools to my shop.. ...

Delta Review Awesome for Resawing
I used this bandsaw quite extensively in the last few days since receiving it, and it resaws tall boards of oak and mohagany like a hot knife through butter. Lots of power! This package comes with the riser block, and you will have to disassemble the saw to put it on, but it's not hard to do. This is my only beef, and it's not with the saw. Delta packages this as a "Limited Edition" with value added accesories, i.e the riser block, the 1/2 wide 105" blade, the fence, etc... Well one of the "value added" accessories is the 28-964 Platinum Pro Blade and comes already on the saw. I am sure that it is a fine blade, but the problem comes when you add the riser block (the only reason why you would order the B model), the blade won't fit because it's not 105" long! What a crock! Come on Delta that is pretty cheesey, and the only stain on an otherwise fine "Limited Edition" Outside of that you can't go wrong with this tool if you need to do accurate resaw work on thick and tall hardwoods. I also ordered Carter's Bandsaw bearings. Order those too you won't regret it. I immediately put them on the saw, and they are a big part of the saw's accuracy. I never even used the "blocks" that came with the saw.

Delta Review Excellent saw!
I've had my Delta 33-890 12" Radial Arm Saw for almost a year and a half now and I'm just as happy with it as I was back in March of 2002. Not being a "professional" woodworker, the [money] price tag was a tough pill to swallow, but one look at Delta's 10" saw (the arm height adjustment on top of the column? whats up with that?) or the Craftsman 10" saw, made the decision much easier. The 10" saws are toys, mostly plastic, with a flimsy, cheap feel to them; perfect for the weekend warrior who needs to crosscut some pine 1Xs. (I suppose, in a perfect world, Delta would make a 10" saw with the same quality as the 12" model...I want the 12" QUALITY, more than I need the 12" CAPACITY). The 33-890 12" Saw is very solid, well constructed, all steel or cast iron. My unit had a shipping weight of 320 lbs (everything...including the skid it was on) and it's definately a two person job to set up. Since my saw is part of an 18 ft. custom made saw table, incorporating my Delta mitre saw, I didn't use the legs that came with the saw, but they were very well made and appeared quite robust. I would say it took 3 hours to fully unpack and adjust the saw before use. All adjustments turned out to be dead on right out of the box, except for the 4 point levelling of the table. The manual is well written and easy to understand. The blade that comes with the saw is a bit cheesy, but not bad to start with. I'm currently using a Freud blade. All in all, this is an excellent piece of equipment and a pleasure to use. The action of the saw is smooth as silk and the 2hp motor is very capable. It's a saw that the experienced hobbyist can grow into, and worth every penny. I would highly recommend that you look at the 10" saws and see how cheap they feel.....you'll want the 12" saw...I guarantee!

Delta Review A Great Saw
This is an excellent saw! It has a very heavy duty frame and leg assembly. Very sturdy throughout. All cuts are precise once all setup adjustments are made. The motor has more than enough power for cutting dado's or making thick cuts. 10" saws look delicate next to it. It's made in the USA, exhibiting excellent quality throughout. The only saw that might be better, would be one made by the "Original Saw Company", and you will spend alot more. For the money, this saw is hard to beat. No complaints here. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Delta Review Crosscut master
I replaced my "antique" radial arm with the Delta 33-890. What a difference! I build furniture, and I had trouble with my old one staying square. The Delta is built like a tank and after initial setup and adjustment I've never adjusted anything and it's always dead square. It has plenty of power to crosscut 3" thick White Oak planks. I rip on a tablesaw so I can't say how it does in that operation. The only complaint about the saw is the steel blade provided with the saw. It seems to me that for the money this machine costs, they could send a carbide tipped blade. I put a Forrest WW1, (12" 60T) blade on my saw and this is the best crosscut saw I've used.

Delta Review Old-Time Quality, a Top Performer
I have owned this jig for 15 years. During that period I have used it on a variety of size/weight stock and have never been disappointed. Its solid, massive design allows positive (i.e. safe) control of movement during the cut. Worth every penny if you do much of this type of work.

Delta Review Worth the money
There are plenty of other jigs available, and most people go for the low cost. Why not? They must work OK, right?

Well, they may work "OK", but this one is in a league all its own. Why? Mostly because of the weight of the thing. The machining is fine, the features, the size of wood it can handle, micro-adjustment and so forth are great. So is the large bearing surface and the oversized tightening handle (read: powerful clamping strength). But the one thing that makes this one the best is the weight. It stands up to whatever vibration, pinching, grabbing, and whatnot that might occur when shoving a piece of wood through a saw blade. There's no worry, ever, about kickback or losing control, and the smoothness of the cut is pretty nearly perfect thanks to the rock-solid support of the jig.

To illustrate: I regularly cut tenons and half-lap joints on the ends of up to 8 foot pieces of wood, sometimes at a 45 degree angle. That means the jig holds an 8 foot board sticking up at 45 degrees, and guides it safely and smoothly across the saw. Try THAT on your $119.99 nearly-as-good jig. Or don't- you'll damage yourself if you try.

Delta Review Delta 34-172 Tenon Jig
This jig has been around for decades and has yet to be matched in terms of durability and stability. Sure there are cheaper jigs on the market, but none better. This jig still sells used for up to [$], whereas the lightweight jigs are a dime a dozen. Spend the extra [$] or so, and you won't regret it. It fits the delta Unisaw and other 10" saw with the 3/4 x 5/8" slot. It can be made to fit any saw by making another mitre slot bar or tapping the base to adapt to a wider blade to mitre slot distance. 5 Star machine. Delta has "cheapened most of their machines by cutting weight and using plastic. This is one of the few tools that is true to it's original form. Go for it.

Delta Review Worth the money
I put all of my machines on mobile bases, and have had mixed luck with various manufacturers. By far my best experiences have been with the bases made for specific machines. They're a cinch to get together and start using. This one was no exception. Its very sturdy and with a good push you can jump on your DJ-20 and surf it down the driveway (just kidding). It isn't the one shown in the picture here (obviously a joiner won't fit on that) but it is better- with a foot pedal for lifting/lowering. Highly recommended.

Delta Review Top Quality Base
All of my shop machines are on mobile bases. Some are home-made but the heavy pieces like the DJ20 jointer are on Delta bases. Like the other Delta bases, this is top quality. I had some initial concerns about putting this heavy jointer on a mobile base, but I am very pleased that I did. The mobile base moves the jointer very easily across some oversized garage floor expansion joints. You can't go wrong by purchasing this base.

Delta Review If you have a DJ20 you need this base
I have several machines on Delta mobile bases. After discovering how well they are made and how well they work when I got my first one with my Unisaw, I don't even think twice now when I buy a new machine, I always get the Delta base to go with it. I just got a DJ20. This is one big, heavy jointer. It's about 475 lbs, about the same as a Unisaw, but this jointer is very long and possibly awkward to move. But my DJ20 is really easy to move and manouver around my small shop using this base. One Hint: when you set up your jointer, place the cabinet in the mobile base first, before you but the jointer assembly on th cabinet.

Delta Review Am I missing something?
I bought this chisel and bit as part of a four piece set and have been happily using it for nearly five years now. I have read in many places that inexpensive chisel and bit sets like this one provide inferior cuts and can dull quickly. That has not been my experience at all. With an accurate setup, I have used this tool to cut perfect mortises in red oak, quartersawn white oak, white pine, and southern yellow pine with no problems whatsoever. Granted, the chisels do get hot during extended use and I am dilligent about letting them cool if they are about to overheat - but I could not be happier with the performance of this set. At this price and with that quality, you cannot go wrong!

Delta Review THE CHEAPEST MORTISING CHISEL .
I am using the above tool for years now.I have purchased so many pcs which brakes after short period of use. After using DELTA 17-783 1/2" SET OF MORTISING CHISEL AND BIT I found it is good in quality and I gives it 5 stars for its cheap price. I feel my problem is solved.

Delta Review vERY HELPFULL
The blade is a real help for the bandsaw due the size and power of the tool, specialy for resaw jobs.-Unfortunately you don't have more in stock and may be further you can get more from the manufacturer. Please don't forget to let me know

Delta Review Great Blade for Ripping and Resawing
When you want to cut wide stock down to narrow widths, you need to use a heavier blade. This 3/8" width blade is the largest the Delta 28-185 bandsaw can use, and so is perfect for the job. The hardened teeth provide a longer work life. Remember, with a bandsaw you should ALWAYS use the largest width blade that will handle the cutting radius you need.

Delta Review Be Cheap!
I very rarely need to change belts with this. It's as though the belts last forever when you unclog them with it. I compare using this to using a pencil eraser, except that the surface is moving and the eraser is not. Buy this. You won't regret it. Why waste money on new belts?

Delta Review Really Works!
This Product is one of few, that really do work. I have many sanding belts and disks (even dremel sanding barrels) that I was able to restore with this stick. I sand wood, plastics, and metal. You can imagine how dirty my belts get. Just touch the disk to the belt and sand, like you would a piece of wood. The particles in the clogged belt come right out with little mess, and the belt cuts like new. You will be suprised with it's performance.

Delta Review Cuts Laminate Flooring Great!
I've been useing this blade to rip and crosscut laminate flooring to size. That stuff is usually pretty hard on blades since it has an AlO coating on the top, but this one cuts through it nice, smooth and supriseingly quickly for an 80-tooth blade. don't think you could find a better blade for that job at least. Next I have some polycarb to cut so we'll see how it does that job. When it comes to plastics I think it'd either be between this blade or the Forrest No-Melt which I don't think you can get off of Amazon.

Delta Review Great for cutting Acrylic plastic
I have been using this blade for two years to cut acrylic plastic. Without a doubt this is the best blade I have ever owned for this purpose. I highly recommend it. No melt, no burn and smooth edges.
