Freud Review Accurate and true
The 99-270 bit set I purchased took a little getting used to. When I first opened the package and studied the profiles, there was no way these bits would match. Or so I thought. After some practice cuts and a little trial and error I was on my way. The bits are of course Freud quality all the way. Mine unfortunately were assembled incorrectly from the factory. (4 Stars) One of the cutting heads on one of the bits was installed up side down. This made for an interesting first cut. After correcting the assembly error, I had no problem making all the parts for a divided light window. You will however, have to use mortises to assemble your project. Overall these are a great addition to my Freud collection. Solid as expected!

Freud Review A fine helpful item to align your table saw with...
I have not used this as a sanding disk yet, but it has been a great help in keeping my Delta table saw and Unifence in fine alignment -- much easier than trying to align your table saw with a saw blade installed.

Freud Review Sweet, but be careful with denser woods
This is a sweet framing blade, though maybe a bit overpowered by my 15A Milwaukee saw, it works great on 13A and smaller saws, especially for ripping fir or pine. I did get unacceptablle blade flutter and runout in thicker OSB. It really is not up to the task of cutting hardwoods; the kerf is too thin, and maybe the cutwork expansion slots weaken it. Installing a deck of hard and demse ipe wood (from Brazil) it couldn't handle the wood at all. But to be fair, this is a framing blade, and as such should be used ONLY for fir and pine or other light, soft framing woods. When used appropriately it cuts straight, clean, and very, very fast. The teeth are very durable.

Freud Review Freud's TK206,10', 24 tooth saw blade
An excellent saw blade, especially for benchtop or contractor saws. Its thinner cutting profile reduces the work required by the saw without affecting the quality of the cut. The wood will need to be cleaned up on the cut edge,(jointer), but this is a small price to pay when ripping thick hardwoods. It is also one of the lower priced saw blades and Freud only puts out quality stuff. Freud's teflon coated 24 tooth blade, (TK206R, I think, can't find an I.D. on my blade or package), is an even better choice, no pitch to clean. The red teflon really works.

Freud Review This blade rips
As a finish carpenter ,I needed a blade that would cut miters without blade defliction on my hitachi sliding saw. This blade works very well. I have several blades, they stay sharp and can be sharpened about three times before you toss them.Cuts pine like a dream, hard wood takes a sharp blade espicaly on miters,

Freud Review Don't buy this saw.
I bought this saw and it came with a badly warped base. Unfortunately I didn't discover this in time to return it to amazon for a full refund. I sent it to Freud for repair/replacement and got the same base back, only slightly less warped. It won't follow a saw guide because of "drift", in other words the edge of the guide is not parallel to the blade. Basically the engineering on this saw is very ambitious but the manufacturing craftsmanship is terrible.

Addendum: Freud eventually made good by shipping me a new base. If I were to rate the saw now that it has been repaired, it deserves at least three stars. It has a nice powerful motor with variable speed, but maybe it's more powerful than it needs to be. It is fairly heavy, and the motor has a lot of inertia so it keeps on running for several seconds after the trigger is released. The dust collection attachment is somewhat cumbersome, but without it the cutting line is quickly obscured by sawdust. If I had it to do over again I would go for a lighter weight saw with a dust blower like the Black and Decker JS600K, and just be prepared to return it promptly if the base didn't line up just right.

Freud Review Can't Beat It For The Money
This is an excellent little Jig Saw. Although(when I bought it), it was advertised as being able to use both types of jig saw blades. The regular blades do not hold at all. Would recommend.

Freud Review Ricardo
This is a top of the line tool that has no comparison. This is
a product I have wished for years to buy, but could never justify paying the retail price; until I saw the product advertised in your magazine at such an affordable price. It performs far beyoond my expectations. I am very happy with the purchase. The precision with which it cuts and performs is remarkable. My wood working friends are shocked when I tell them where and how much I payed for my jig saw.
Thank you!

Freud Review Who's Packaging This Stuff...
Bit Set is fine, but whoever designed the packaging should be FIRED!! Amazon was great about sending a replacement. Arrived with the two bits rolling around loose in the box in *both* shipments. Bubble Pack has no permanent seal. Bits were bouncing around loose in the shipping box and Amazon's "Air Bag" packaging didn't protect them, they just slid though them and banged into each other causing chips on the blades.

Someone needs to let the manufacturer know their packaging is defective. Amazon???

Freud Review Yep. Thats the way they come.
Well, even though a lot of people have said they come rolling around in the box I ordered it anyway from Amazon. Yep. They sure do come that way. You know, just a piece of tape to hold Freud's packaging together would help alot. I have no other choise seeing as there isn't a place for me to get this bit within 200 miles. Made a waste of my 2nd day delivery fee.

Freud Review Here's my two bits (hehehe)
I have found that the packaging that Amazon does is perfectly fine; the internal packaging by Freud leaves something to be desired and allows for the possiblity of chipping in transit. The adjustability of both these bits is amazing; that, I believe is unique on the market, and is an important feature when dealing with various thicknesses of plywood on different projects. Also allows you to set the tightness of the joint to your own preference.

As a negative, I found that the slot cutter chewed up my cherry wood on one side somewhat, and I never did figure where the blame should be laid. Other than that, I was pleased with these bits.

Freud Review OK for the price
I purchased the JS102 few years ago and the others cost about 50% more at the time but with more features. First there was no oil in the oiler - the plastic cap cracked and I had oil all over inside the plastic case. The plastic case is blow mold and never closed right, like my cheap Chinese tool cases. Initially the I thought the cutting blade was missed aligned or too wide since the biscuits fit very loose in the slots even with plenty of glue in it, but now, after a few years, its ok, nice and tight with the same box of 1,000 biscuits I purchased elsewhere. The stick-on angle scale came off but the factory gave me a new one - never needed it anyway, all my cuts are at 90 degrees. If you have different thickness boards, the height adjustment on the fence could be a PIA since there are no fine adjustments like the other biscuit cutters. You need to make a few test cuts to make sure the slot is in the middle of the board or where you wanted it - I don't trust the scale. I have no problems with the dust bag, just empty it every 10 cuts - yes, lots chips form those slots.

Now the most erratic part: the motor/gear box sounds like it has a bunch of loose parts inside, sounds like they forgot to grease the gear box at the factory or it has broken teeth in gear box. Sounds worse than my Craftman 4.5" grinder. Other than that it feels solid and it does cut well after its set up. If only they would put in one dollar more for a better case, two dollars more for a fine adjustment and a little better quality control.

Freud Review Solid Tool For The Price
I had been looking at this joiner for a while and finally bought it when it was on sale for $83.99 + 10% off + free shipping (marked down from $119). I am very happy with it so far, a satisfied customer. I just used it to build an entryway bench for the Mrs and it came out great.

Since I like to know the downside of items I buy on amazon, here are the things I would change about this joiner if I could. None of them are deal breakers:
- The on/off switch is slightly clumsy.
- The dustbag does not stay on. I solved this problem by wrapping some tape around the dust port a few times.
- Dust collection is very marginal. Hooking the shop vac up to the dust port completely solved this problem.
- Setting the fence height is slightly difficult. The scale on the front isn't super accurate, so a few test cuts in scrap wood helped get things lined up before making real cuts.
- There is no angle scale on the tilting fence. I probably will not be making too many cuts that are not 90 or 45 degrees, so no biggie once again.

Overall, I am quite happy with this joiner and feel like I got a great deal on it.

Freud Review Easy to use
The first joiner I recived was defective and needed to be returned. The next one proved to be the easiest one I've used yet. The only weak point so far is the fence hold down nut loosens a little too easy. That is something that needs to be monitored during operation. The bottom line is that I would definitely buy it again.
My sincere thanks to Amazon.com, you are the most awesome people and faster than a magician and always willing to please a customer.

Freud Review Not useable for a Delta table saw.
This product was not usable on my saw. If you use both left and right discs, the table insert will not fit. If you use the left disc, it warps the blade and makes it tilt to the right. It had no effect on vibration when using only one disc. I returned the discs.

Freud Review Yes, to be paired, but otherwise . . .
these serve well to make more rigid thin-kerfed blades. Regarding the Bosch 4000 (mentioned earlier in a scathing review), the saw passes the nickel test without blade stabilizers. However, adding these fine-tunes the saw's performance, does not alter the sound; and, most surprisingly, preserves the accuracy of the measuring tape. Recommended if you are ripping hardwoods.

Freud Review It's inexpensive and it works!
I ordered this stabilizer to mount on my DeWalt dw746 tablesaw. I had been using a DeWalt 5" stabilizer plate with a Forrest WWII thin kerf blade. At 5" in diameter, the DeWalt stabilizer effectively limited my depth of cut to about 2.5". After trying out the Freud 3.5" stabilizer, I can honestly say that I didn't lose any noticeable performance, and I gained enough blade clearance to once again rip/crosscut 3" stock.

As an added bonus for the price, this product comes as a pair of stabilizers! I only mounted one stabilizer on my saw (on the nut side of the blade), and was able to mount the other to my radial arm saw and greatly improve its cuts as well.

I highly recommend this set of stabilizers as a good product at a great price.
