Freud Review Great Cutter!!!
Freud bits may be some of the highest quality around. This one has stayed sharper longer than most other bits I own. The bit makes great corners easy, but it does take some setup (usually multiple test runs). I would suggest a 3-5 HP Shaper for this bit.

Freud Review good blade
I bought this blade at a tool show in my area, a step up to the Quaility of Forrest, as explained to me by the freud rep. He also explained the carbide manufacturing process, he said freud makes its own while all other tool makers by it off the open market, better control = better product, I am a trim carp/cabinet installer who cuts alot of crown & other assorted mouldings and so far this blade is doing a superior job, hardwoods, softwoods & mdf type mouldings all cut with no visable tear out, the laser cuts in the blade body arement to reduce vibration this not only makes the blade quiet but helps it stay sharp longer.

Freud Review Nice saw
This is a great saw for for small cutting jobs. I feel that I have more control and get more presice cuts with this saw than with the typical larger size dovetail saw. It has a good balance to it. I find the quality to be excellent and the hole in the blade is great for hanging it up.

Freud Review Good performance, great value
I purchased the Freud JS102 biscuit jointer in 1998 and have used it to build many furniture projects in the time since. It is a quality built machine that is worth its modest price tag. The only fault I can find with it is that the dust port leading to the cloth bag tends to get clogged up. This is not a big deal though, as it is easy to clean out. I would buy this tool again in a heartbeat for its reliability and the value per dollar spent.

Freud Review Ultimate Rip Blade
I am a contractor building high end custom homes at Lake Tahoe. I use this blade for ripping thick stock of mostly redwood and western red cedar. The pieces are mostly for exterior window and door trim. I love this blade. It will rip very fast. The motor of my table saw does not have to work very hard either. The sawdust tends to be kind of shaggy and will clog the exhaust port of the saw. I blow the saw out frequently with compressed air. I use a lot of salvaged wood and have occasionally hit a nail. So far the blade is holding up very well. The thick kerf wastes a little wood but the blade is less likely to heat up and warp like blades with thinner kerfs and more teeth. The finish is pretty smooth considering there is only 18 teeth. I prefer a rougher finish for exterior trim anyway because it will hold stain or paint better. Often the surface is too smooth and I will drag the piece backwards on a bandsaw to roughen it and give it a resawn finish.

Freud Review Very Good Quality Blade
This blade was installed on a glue line rip saw.Did a run of Mahogany that was burning with the other blades that we had.I then installed the Freud blade and got very good results. The teeth and carbide are large,so you can figure on several resharpenings.Best of all was the price.I will probably order 2 more soon.

Freud Review Superb finish on cross-cuts
I've owned this blade for about 2 years, and it's incredible. If you're cutting stock that will have exposed end-grain and you want it to look great, this is the blade to use. It produces a polished (literally) finish on the ends of the board -- meaning there is absolutely no need to sand the end grain. I've found that this finish also means less differential stain uptake between the end-grain and the regular grain. Just a light touch of shellac will solve that problem!

Don't use this blade if you need the end-grain to hold glue for a joint. It's simply too smooth.

I've also used the LU85 for cutting thin plywood. Freud's catalog says it's OK up to 1" thick, but I prefer to use it only for 3/8" or less.
