About 6 mo. ago I bought the A-Square to remodel my basement. With the first room I framed I quickly found that the A-Square made the process so fast and easy to that I can not believe it. The A-Square completely eliminates the need to have a helper. It also makes my work more accurate.

If there is only one tool you purchase for your remodeling jobs you need to get this one. It will pay for it self the first time you use it!

This tool was so great I recently bought their folding framing square. Not only is it COOL but it is the best saw guide I have ever used!

Every book I have read for pointers on building a deck told me to use a 3,4,5 triangle to square my deck. Well, if you have ever tried to do a 3,4,5 with two tapes you would find it is impossible to do with any accuracy, let alone any speed. I found the Asquare made this incredibly fast, easy and accurate. It was also helpful in the layout of the jogs I designed into my deck. As far as I'm concerned, the quality and appearance if my new deck is largely do to the Asquare (Thank you Asquare!)

Best of all the Asquare folds to a stick to easily store for my next project! I can't speak highly enough about it.

As novice diy'ers, remodeling our bathroom was a major undertaking. However, with the help of the Asquare the "frustration factor" was minimal. The Asquare made it easy to measure and place floor and wall tiles! It also came in handy as a straight edge for cutting wallpaper and aligning measure markings. It's big enough you can't loose it, and it folds small enough so it can be stored out of the way!

wow, this utility knife saves so many steps in marking and cutting drywall sheetrock, the way it attaches to the end of the tape measure eliminates the need for a straight edge, or even a pencil!! I got one for myself as well as my father! works well for all your household cutting needs, plastic sheet for gardening, marking painted metal, etc.

This folding 45 triangle will save you time and man power.It will allow you to double check quickly and stay on line and ahead of time.I have had and used this 45 and its brother 345 for awhile. I don't know what I would do without them . Each has made life much easier and a better quaility job.I use the 45 on a lot of flooring work. The only down side to the 45 tri is that it is a little pricey,but it still improves the qualitiy of life and job.I still give it 5 Stars.

My father had one of these in his shop and it is one of the best little things made for reducing drill bit clutter. It somewhat amazes me that more people don't have one of these great little holders. It gets a hearty "five stars" on my convenience scale.

I really hate trying to snap bits back into plastic holders or tediously trying to align the shafts of bits into those metal box holders and getting jabbed by the next larger bit when in a hurry. Not to mention plastic "folder-style" holders eventually break at the hinge and metal ones nick your fingers on their sharp boxy corners. And should you drop either? Well you get to start all over again, while mumbling a few choice words. This little Hanson is so much easier. You just drop the bit into the single hole on top and spin the dial to lock it inside. Need a bit quickly? Just spin the dial to the desired size and turn the holder upside down and the bit drops out. When your done, just spin the dial closed and stand it upright on your favorite shelf. It just doesn't get any easier than this.

If you use corded drills (Are they still being made?...just kidding), it has hooks for attaching onto the power cord.

The downside is these holders only go up to 1/4" diameter. Oh well you can't have everything. Or can you? (Hopefully someone from Hanson will take note)

The Pros:

**No more finger sticks from neighboring bits
**Good quality and stands upright anywhere for easy access

The Cons:
**Limited sizes (largest bit 1/4")
**Standard HSS bits but easily replaced with cobalt or titanium (Just drop 'em in)

Summary: Handy, reliable standard drill bit holder that stands alone.

I use a cordless drill so much that I have a holster for it on my toolbelt. I have tried many different "quick change" bit holders. This is the only one that doesn't get pushed back by the holster. All the other quick change type products are to big and would constantly get pushed back and release the bit causing it to fall out. It's slim design is great. Why do the other manufactures make such big clunky ones? BUY THIS IT RULES.

Both items, the 1st and then this one, came in damaged. It was purchased as a gift and I thought they had been sent back but I came to find out that there was a breakdown in communications.

The packaging was terrible and as I said before both the squares were damaged and unusable upon arrival.

Therefore due to the condition of the items I am unable to submit a review.

I bought this A-Square to use in floor tile layout. I saw it used in a trade magazine and it looked like a time saver. It saves time over squaring out a 3-4-5 triangle on the floor using your tape mesure - definately! But for the price I was a little dissapointed in the thinness of the aluminum parts making it not very rigid unless fully supported on the floor. Also the little locking button that locks the triangle into place bumps out proud so that you cant really lay it down flat on the floor in one direction without chance of depressing the locking button and possibly unlocking the triangle out of square. Good for general layout but dont expect tolerances greater than 1/32" over 3 feet.

Easy open/close. Makes perfect right angles. Good quality construction. Came with free plastic folding square of smaller scale which wasn't nearly as valuable a tool as this one. Improved the appearance and accuracy of tile placement immensely, especially when laying zero grout line installations. Drawback is that angle is not 45 degree but flip side is that a true 45 degree angle of this size would hardly fit in smaller job sites such as small bathrooms. Besides, it should not be too difficult to draw right angle and measure out 45 degrees. Other complaint is that the ends of the angle have a forked v-cut which makes for sharp point on the end -- potential javelin if tossed? Overall, highly recommended. The only thing that would make this tool more better is a lower price.

Yes I received my order today which included this 4516 model and a larger 4' x 4' model by the same company. I was very pleased with the large model. All the joints were tight and the edges were flush. But that was not the case with the 4516. There was nearly 1/16 inch play at the push button joint and one other joint was very loose also. I guess that rules out using it as a sawguide. I guess I will have to keep using my speed square even though it doesn't fold up.

As a wife of a down to earth carpenter, I am always struggling to find a gift that will flip my husbands cap and--URIKA! I found it! For his birthday I gave him the ASquare folding framing square. It is this framing square thing which I knew he already had, but this one folds to fit into his toolbox. It is a gold color which really peaked his interest at first glance. When he opened it, he said, "COOL" and thanked me with an ear to ear grin (which is hard to get out of him.)

Proof of the pudding--My husband's partner's wife, Julie, called me yesterday and asked where I got the gold thing Jim was hinting about...he must be bragging about his new tool and I feel great! This is what impelled me to share this great gift idea!

The coolest framing square I have ever seen or owned! It actually folds to fit into my tool box. I recommend this tool to anyone who currently owns a framing square.

It would have been a great gift!

This tap and die set is just what I needed for small home projects. The case is crap and needs a rubber-band to keep it shut so the taps and dies dont fall out. 3 stars

I have had this same exact set for over ten years and have never broke one. HANSON makes the taps and dies for SNAP-ON so you know they are quality!

I got myself into some serious trouble trying to take the head off of my small block Chevy. I thought I would have no choice but to tap and ream it... but I saw this item... figured I would try it, and MAN was I glad I did! Worked like a charm, and saved me a few hundred bucks!

Like the previous reviewer, we had the same problem. Only one pencil arrived. We returned it but the replacement also had only one pencil. Amazon has admitted a wide spread problem with this product yet we see it is still offered for sale. So we are writing this to warn others to avoid the headache and look elsewhere.

This product is a complete messup from Amazon. I ordered it for my hubbie for Christmas and I received only 1 PENCIL! I sent it back to Amazon and they supposedly sent me a replacement, again receiving only 1 PENCIL!!!! I have received no reimbursement, and Amazon has admitted it must be their defect with this product. Do not buy! I am a long time Amazon customer, but am so frustrated wtih Amazon's customer service in returning this defective item!!!
