Very nice drill!Very solid performance. Haven't had any trouble with mine. Really powerful.
Torque Galore!I have built several decks and a single room addition and this drill drives deck screws all day with ease. You will appreciate this tool when you are looking at driving literally hundreds (sometimes thousands) of screws through treated lumber or other decking materials. This baby is powerful and takes a few minutes to get used to the phenomenal level of torque. It feels like it wants to jerk the handle right out of your hand. A dozen deck screws and you should have the grip pressure and control down pat! Once you do, it's almost a pleasure driving screws. (BTW -I have found square drive SS screws best for decking work)
In most of my situations I have power available from the homeowner or a generator so a corded drill was the way to go. I've excellent DeWalt cordless drills but, battery drain/changing/charging is always a hassel not found with corded drills when driving so many screws. You will want to pick up an after-market depth setting head to set screw heads to a consistent depth.
If torque is what you need for many operations I would highly recommend this tool. It exceeds the torque levels normally needed by the average home owner for weekender projects, so consider that if you are in the market for buying a corded drill/driver for around the house.

TorqueIf you want a drill with tons of torque, this drill is for you. I'm a big guy (fat) & I can really lean on this drill without stopping, or slowing it down much which is uncommon these days. Look at all the others & I don't think you can find one with more torque without spending alot more.

Hitachi Cordless DrillNice drill, til you try to buy a replacement battery. Batteries are priced 80-100% more than competitor brands.
superb drill!I have owned several DeWalt drills as well as a few other brands and the Hitachi beats them all. In every catagory the Hitachi is a better drill and a better buy. Although it does not have the same huge torque ratings that some of the other drills do, it is a much more user friendly and high quality piece of equipment. The rare earth motor is extremely flexible for various types of work and performs perfectly. It is light, comfortable, and effective. I would recommend this drill to anyone who is interested in the very best tools.
Tough, light weight versatile performerWe use this tool in a college theater set shop. Students of varying degrees of experience use this drill/driver hours a day every day. It is well balanced, has good battery life, and finally is tough. After a year of use by real stage carpenters and real idiots, it has held up. I bought one for my home.

beware of the priceI know this is s great nailer but if you want a restrictive trigger you will have to pay ... for it. The other manufactures supply them for free. I am returning it because of this and buying the bostitch n88rh-1. I was supprised when I called hitachi.
das is v ery gootThere are nailers and... there are nailers. This one is a nailer. With a capital "N". Simple- idiot proof, really- light, powerful, and consistent. We all want to nail more at the end of the day, And we fight to see who gets to use it in the morning. So, do yourself a favor- get me another one!!
Hitachi NR90ACK Full Head Framing NailerI am a serious carpenter. I have been use 4 different kinds of framing nailer in last 3 years. However I never get satisfy what I got. Fortunately, a few months ago, I bought the Hitachi NR90ACK full head strip nailer and I feel very satisfy what I got. The quality and capability are totally tremendous. I feel that time is the most important things to make money and same as tool is the most important things to accomplish the work. I hope you will feel the same way I do, and help you to solve the problem to get the right gun.

Good nails; meager packagingI bought a new Bostitch N80CB framing nailer from Amazon, then had difficulty finding a local source of coil nails here in Silicon Valley. So I ordered these nails in the 400-pack from Amazon also.
The nails came in two coils of 200 nails each, in a corrugated cardboard box; I expect the 2500-pack to be similar. There was no other packaging, and my coils were a bit squashed after shipping. I had to unwind the full 200 nail coil and rewind it to fit smoothly around the spindle of my nailer.
How did the nails work? Very well, after recoiling. I had no jams; no problems at all. A few cardboard cores to keep the coils from getting squashed in transit would help a bunch. I might well have had some feed problems if I hadn't straightened out the connecting wires before loading, so I deducted one star. But the price is decent, and Amazon's free shipping can't be topped.
3 1/4 COIL NAILSREALLY LIKED THEM . THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE WAY THEY ARE SHIPPED. YOU HAVE TO STRAIGHTEN THEM OUT WHEN YOU GET THEM

used in porta cable fr350worked fine installing 1/2" plywood in attic space. make sure you wear eye protection as plastic collating does fly in all directions
and is sharp (as you will find out when you inadvertently kneel on a piece). gave it four stars instead of five because of price. a 5,000 pack of similar nails is around $44.00 at home depot.

PerfectJust went through my first box of 500, without a misfire using a Porter Cable FR350. I am now ordering more for next project. :-)

Itty, Bitty Brads for Your Power NailerThese are fairly soft as brads go, but at this length, deflection is not a major problem. You do still have to be careful, though. These are fine for smaller chores, like fastening thin shelves in dadoes or applying trim moldings. They hold well, but are tough to remove if you misfire.
Shiny, Sharp and CheapWow! Age of wonders this is a fantastic product.

Everything was good except the hoseSo you are thinking about this kit. It's awesome, buy it. I've worked in Hawaii, Colorado, and with framers from California. For every, paslode, senco, bostitch, portercable, harbor freight model on the job there are twice as many hitachis running at the same time.
If you are looking for a deal, um.....I don't know maybe this is it. If you are looking for tools that will keep up with all day long, this kit will and more except the hose- lose it quick. I'm buying the polyurethane 1/4" x 100' it's all over here in Aurora, CO and I've worked with it in the middle of winter- it's a must have.
Good gun and compressor.

GreatI have had this nailer and compressor for about a year and have gone through over 4 thousand nails. I have had no problems with the gun. The only problem encountered was with the compressor. It would not start up when connected to any extension cord. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a high quality nailer and compressor.

excessive shipping costsI received this item promptly, and it was the correct product. However, you don't see the shipping costs on your order till it is confirmed in an e-mail, and I was appalled to see that they counted 4 ounce blades in the "tool" category, and charged $9.99 to ship them!It made the total cost higher than the other sites on the internet!I will probably just go to Ace next time I need something, the gas is cheaper!
A must have item!!!These are high quality steel blades made by the manufacturer just to fit the Hitachi planer. I have about four sets on hand with my planer. I like to have extra's in case they get dull you can quickly change to a new set. Plus, because they are steel they are easily resharpened at tool sharpening shops or if you have the right tools you can do it yourself!!! GREAT PRODUCT!!

Excellent Product.Like all Hitachi tools... this saw performs perfectly. Tons of power and it rarely binds up. I've even used it to cut firewood in a pinch. The light on it is an excellent idea. It's quite helpful when working in new buildings still running temporary light strings off generators. Only thing that keeps it from getting 5 stars... just one battery. I also have a 14.4 Hitachi Drill... and this saw will use those batteries in a jam so it's not a big concern for me... but if this is your only Hitachi cordless tool... be prepared to let the saw sit around for an hour while the battery charges. I guess they wanted to keep the price low, but this is pretty silly.
C6DA 12V 6-1/4" cordless sawHave used it since 1988, loved it, cut all the siding for a rental house with it. Had 2 batteries but they are dead. Problem is Hitachi (nor anyone else) can supply me with new batteries, so saw is useless ... wonder if they will abandon buyer of latest saw the same way?

Heavy-Duty - Light weight !I like this saw alot. It is easy to handle, has a strong motor, good balance and is very comfortable. I replaced a DeWalt which, despite being very popular, I never really liked it.I am fairly big at 6'-1" and 225lbs.and while the DeWalt is very sturdy ( and heavy )it does not seem balanced, in comparison. The Hitachi despite a lower amperage rating, seems more powerful to me. The nickel-plated base moves easily on most surfaces, cutting depth is easily adjustd, the nickel-plated bevel markings are little tough to read in the sun, but seem to be accurate. My only gripe with this saw is that the electric brake is a little slow at dropping the blade rotation. I ended up ordering the carrying case which despite taking up more room, keeps the tool in better condition ( I tend to set the saw in the case instead of the ground while setting up for the next cut). Amazon needs to put a kit price together. Some tools just feel right.
Hitachi C7BD w/BrakeThis is one sweet feeling saw.I have got to hand it to Hitachi. The saw has a great feel as you rip, cross cut,and or cut on a bevel. The brake is a very nice addition to the saw, the only thing that is missing is a case...I think this a very well made saw, that any tradesmen or hobbiest would appreciate. The C7BD is a little heavier than some of the circular saws, but I like a saw with a little beef, makes for better stability as you are make those long rips. The cutting depth gauge on the cover is a little hard to see, due to the arrow being the same color(black)as on the base assembly. But as with Hitachi brand tools, I feel it is a well built saw and will hold up very well to the everyday use in the construction enviroment. OK, with that said, I am out of here to do some cutting with my new and fine cutting green machine.
