Hitachi Review Just had to rate this item
I normaly don't write a review, especialy on somethings that i almost got for free ( had a $25.00 coupon, for a $49.00 purchased) But i just hated how this unit performed that i had to say something, first one I received I had to send it back, it was dirty the chuck was worn out and it smelled like it was salvage from a burned down store. the replacement was not any better either, it just do not hold down the drill bits it keeps on coming off, this was not a good first experiance with hitachi tools and certainly the very last. I read some of the positive reviews about how you should get a heavy duty hammer drill for some specific jobs, I agree with them, but for what the unit claims and the work i was doing it should had handle it with no problems. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET A DEWALT INSTEAD.

Hitachi Review Great Disappointment
This tool arrived very dirty and dusty.... like it just came in from a hard day's work. Also, it didn't work at all... it wouldn't even spin. The motor would run, but I think the gears were internally stripped. The housing had the little "R" stamped on it, but I think this one came in the back door and went out the front without any work. Back to Bosch for me.

Hitachi Review Sweet....................
This thing is better than sliced bread, cell phones, and ATM machines put together. It really kicks (you know what).

Hitachi Review Light Duty
See my review for part number 321434. This accesory does not work.

Hitachi Review Works as it should
The right and left crown molding support worked great. One reviewer said it does not work at all. He must have an older version of the saw because it attached to my saw with no problem and it was easy to adjust. My only complaint is the cost. The same crown molding support for a Dewalt saw is half the price.

Hitachi Review Piece of crap
I am a hardwood contractor. The first couple weeks this unit ran fine. After that I've only had problems with it. First off, this unit needs a large power supply to run (more than 15 amps which you can only get a certain outlets), otherwise it will just cut off. I've had the unit for over 5 months struggling with it hoping it would get better. Today at the jobsite it just stop charging after a 1/4 way filled. It was cold today and tried to heat up the motor with a heat gun which also didnt work. I tried warming the unit up by opening the valve but that didn't work. It wasn't the power supply because I had it connected to a 25 amp + outlet from the kitchen. After toying with it from frustration I ripped out the reset button and bypassed it by connecting the circuits together. Did it solve the problem? Yes but I wouldnt use this after this week from fear of the unexpected.
This compressor is heavy, requires too much power, is loud, double or triple your work time from having to drain the tank and restarting it over and over and over again, and just is not reliable.
Hitachi needs to fix the problem with the load it requires and fix the reset button that I find I have to hit every time it charges back up.
Very frustrated with this product.
Their air tools are a different class. Highly recommended. Stick with them and leave the compressors to other manufacturers. Faked me out.

Hitachi Review Could do better
I have to update my previous review, which I gave the compressor 1 star. I would now give it 3 stars. I gave it one star because I was having trouble with the regulator at the time. But I had let a friend borrow it, and he turned the pressure up so high it broke something in the regulator. I have since put a new one on, and it has been working fine. The price is pretty good, but if you need serious performance out of a compressor, I would recommend something else. I, for example, am a framer, and it can keep up with me, but no way can it keep up with two guys like it claims. The DeWalt D55155 seems to do pretty good, or we also have a Senco that keeps up pretty good too. But it is a decent little compressor.

Hitachi Review broke down after 3-month
I am a contractor. My Hitachi air compressor broke down after 3 month. Hitachi support team could not direct me to the right repair shop address the issue. It looks like to pay from my own pocket to fix it even though it is still under warrantty. Don't buy this.

Oak Park BP20051 Router Base Plate 11" with Pin

    Hitachi Review Make your own...
I should have read the other reviewer's comments about this base plate before buying it....didn't get it on Amazon...impulse buy at a woodworking store. It doesn't fit the Freud FT 2000 very well and won't fit on the Triton at all. Returned it to the store and exchanged it for a larger, 3/8 thick, blank piece of phenolic, and a brass pin. Will make my own. Can't recommend this one.

Hitachi Review Does not fit well with a Freud
I ordered this plate because I was planning on building a router table for my Freud FT2000, and it had the Freud listed as one of the routers it supported. I did not want to have to manually drill a plate so this one seemed to fit. Well needless to say this plate does not work to well with the FT2000. The FT2000 comes with 2 types of mounting holes. One is a set of 3 6mm screws that should be used when mounting from a table. The second is a set of 4 4mm screws that are used for the standard base plate. The problem is that the Oak Park base plate is drilled to use 5mm screws so the use of the 6mm Freud holes was out of the question. I then tried using the 4mm screws, but after mounting the plate and looking at the setup I felt that it would not be safe. There would have been only around 1/8" of phenolic holding the a 16 lb, 3 1/4 hp router. There were a couple of other things that I did not like about this plate. First it is only 1/4" thick, and with its dimension being 11"x11" I thought that it might bow a little especially with a heavy router. Also because it tries to be compatible with most routers it has large groves running radially around the plate. This could cause pieces to stick or shift when running through the table.

    Hitachi Review works for me
I just rebuilt my router table to use the Oak Park plate. Fits much more flat than my old rousseau plate, I also have been using it hand held to profile edges. No complants! holds the router close to center of hole and doesn't seem to flex.

Hitachi Review Poor Quality Nails for the Porter-Cable Finish Nailer
These nails are not of the quality necessary for the Porter-Cable Finish Nailer that they are typically advertised with (FN250A and others). They sometimes came out 2 at a time, not at all, or caused the nailer to jam. I called Porter-Cable, and acquired their nails, and the problems went away. I would not recommend these nails, especially for this nailer.

Hitachi Review 18 gauge brads in a 16 gauge nailer?
I haven't tried these yet, hence the neutral score, but I suspect Derek's problems might have been due to trying to use 18 gauge nails in a 16 gauge finish nailer (FN250A). No wonder they would misfire.

    Hitachi Review NO SUPPORT!!
I SPENT 500.00 ON THIS GREAT NAILER ONLY TO FIND OUT YOU CAN'T GET ANY NAILS FOR IT ANYWHERE. NOT EVEN FROM HITACHI!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?? AMAZON IS STILL CURRENTLY SELLING THEM YET THEY DON'T HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHERE TO GET ANY NAILS FOR IT. I GUESS I'LL JUST USE IT AS A HAMMER AND BEAT THE NAILS IN

Hitachi Review Good tool, some misunderstanding about nails
This tool is as good as any other Bostich... which is pretty good, especially at the very reasonable prices they go for used. The issue raised about the nails relates to the 21 degree angle of the magazine; almost every other manufacturer - and other Bostich models - use a 16 degree slant. If you have a reliable supplier of nail coils, go for it. If not, or if you plan to be on the road a lot and hunting supplies in strange places, getting something a bit easier to feed might be smart.

    Hitachi Review poor packaging
I ordered 5 cases of nails.
When I unpacked them, all coils were smashed flat.
The packaging for these nails are the poorest I've seen.

I've always used Bostitch nails in past , with never a problem.

As a busy contractor, the last thing I want to do is have to rewind every coil before use.

They really need to go to a stronger box, or ship inside a cardboard tube.

    Hitachi Review this is rediculous!!
waiting......... waiting..... waiting some more........ why would this item even be advertised, if it wouldn't be available for several months?????????????/

Hitachi Review Two months waiting time is too long
This item says it is available in 1-2 weeks but I have been waiting it for two months and am still waiting... I was confused each time when I was required to approve the delay again and again...
Eventually, I had to get a hose from Lowes to save my project.
If you are preparing a project to use this, be prepared for the long delay.
