This is the best jig saw at any price. You can dial in and lock the speed and also select the orbital action. It is simmilar to the Bosch but I paid much less for this one.

I have just bought the above jig saw a a Christmas gift for myself. I am replacing a old Craftsman top handle that was totally useless. I had planned on purchasing the Bosch version of the above but could not justify the difference in the prices. Both tools are just about identical. The feel of the barrel grip allows for much more control when making cuts. The weight of the tool also provides a secure feeling of safety. I put the jig saw thru some test cuts when I got it home and it delivered plenty of power and performance in both hard and soft woods, even pieces 2" thick. I know that I will be very satisfied with this tool. I have purchased a Hitachi nail gun in the past and have been impressed with the Hitachi name. At the current price you can't go wrong!

Ditto the previous review. Off hand I'd rate the Hitachi a conservative 15% more efficient at punching the same hole with the same bit. I have used the Bosch and liked it in the past but am glad I tried the Hitachi. Besides it's effectiveness it is also lighter and more comfortable especially if not using the detachable handle grip. It just seems to get after it more like the larger tools available than the mediums to smalls.

For quite some the Bosch Bulldog has been considered by many the best rotary hammer in it's class. Not any more. A local tool show had an impromtu side by side test between the Bosch and Hitachi reps- the Hitachi won handily drilling faster each time. I'm pleased with mine, powerful yet lightweight.

After trying a number of hammers I came upon the Hitachi DH30PC. This tool is far superior to the other similiar models from other companies. Do yourself a favor and buy this tool.

I have bought many hammer drills over the years, but this Hitachi three mode really does the job.I am pleased with the performance, while chipping, drilling, or hammer drilling. It does it all better than some of the larger units I owne.The hitachi is no toy, just a well engineered tool.

Plenty of power and good solid clutch allows you to go where many other drills cannot. This drill has saved me plenty of time and energy, not to mention a lot of frustration!

I was searching Lowe's and found this drill. It is truly a good bargain. It is very powerful and the charger is great. I also got a free flashlight with it. If you are simple do-it yourselfer, this drill should have all the power that you need.

This drill rocks! I have owned three other cordless 14.4 volt drills and this one outshines them all. There really is no comparison. I don't have the words. Feel, power, longevity, co-worker fascination, smoothness, quietness, ... did I mention power (?). It has plenty of all you need. Definately no need for an 18 volt, or any other volt for that matter. I especially love the all volt charger you get with it as I own other Hitachi cordless drills. If it has a flaw it's the case, but I'll deal with it!

Popular WoodWorking magazine raved about these inexpensive Hitachi drills and now I know why. I've had the tool for 3 weeks and used it for several projects and I'm not dissapointed. It has much more power than you might expect, given it's small footprint and light weight. It fits into my hand like a good tool should and it's fun to use. This drill replaced an older 9.6 DeWalt which I didn't really care for. All in all, considering the price, power, quality manufacturing and the great flashlight, this purchase was a great value. I love it when I feel like I got a lot for my money.

Since I got this hammer I ve rarely had to reach for my big yellow bosch and it seems most of those jobs would be even better suitted for a compressor powered hammer. It busts throgh 4" slab with no problem at all evev the older hard stuff. and it will flat out crush anything lesser with no effort. The only time i've had to reach for the boschlately was for really thick solid stuff like a set of full concrete stair that mst have been pored with 3 yards of concrete and like I said befoe I shoulda ot a compressor for that one. The oil sight on the side is also a nice way to know when its time for a lube up because believe me these hammers last a lot longer when you maintain them. And if you ever boughtmore than one of these you know they aint cheap So all in all I tried this against the HILTI te905 and Mkaita 1304 and it blew the Hilti away and is also about$800 bucks cheaper its only drawback being the hilti level of service is better thanyone elses and it about 15 pound heavier but that good unless all your doing is work where you need the to be held out vrtical for longggg periods of time and unlee you tearing down a prison thats rarily the. The Makita is a nice hammmer that weighs about the same,has less power but barely and is a little quieter and I would recommmend that if it wssnt 150-250 bucks more than the hitahi and i really have had good luck wit other hitachidemo hammers (see DH1440 so i highly recommend this hammer to anyone that does alot of varied demo work or this is also great for digging

I have used this demo hammer for numerous purposes and have always found that this demo hammer handles the job.

The other companies have models that are to heavy to handle!!! At just around 40 pounds this demo hammer is a true utilitarian!!

I have used this hammer on numerous jobs from portland cement to footings and have found that the lightweight and balance of this demo hammer in UNBEATABLE!!!

It is comfortable to use and handle and is well suited for different applications....Believe me I have used them all and have found that this hammer is the BEST!!!!!!

I bought this kit for the reciprocating saw. To say I was skeptical about the circular saw would be an understatement. I can honestly say I'm impressed. The recriprocating saw didn't dissappoint, and the circular saw was used to build a deck. It took on 4x4's and 2x8's without binding. The batteries were quick to charge and held the charge for many cuts.

Though it wasn't designed to be a 115v plug in saw, it has plenty of power and is handy as a pocket on your shirt.

I have the Dewalt 24 Volt saw and sawsall,they worked good for the first six months, after that I could not depend on them to go on jobs with me without wired tools as back up. I have had the Hitachi combo for few months and they are much better tools than the dewalt 24 volts. The saw has the biggest blade on the market( 7 1/4 "), it weighs less than my Porter cable electric saw, and it is very comfortable to use. It has a luminated cutting area also, it comes in handy when you are working indoors.
The sawsall is very compact and powerful, you can control the speed thru the trigger. The price of these tools are cheaper than the Dewalts and they are superior tools.
P.S. The Hitachi Green is a nice break from the yellow, red, and grey colored tools out there.

THIS TOOL IS A MUST FOR THE CONTRACTOR/ROOFER. IT SAVES YOU MONEY AND TIME BY FINISHING THE JOB FASTER. I HAVE HAD ONE FOR A YEAR AND IT HAS MORE THAN PAID FOR ITSELF... I AM A SMALL CONTRACTOR IN CINCINNATI, OHIO AND HITACHI TOOLS ARE THE WAY TO GO! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR TOOL EXPERIENCES!

Although Hitachi's prices are higher than most other tool companies, their products tend to last longer. This nailer is no exception. It is by far one of the better nailers on the market and the cost is worth while. It holds up much longer than lesser brands and its performance is second to none.

Although I have not tried these screws in my Senco Autofeed guns, I have tried them in my Makita autofeed systems, and they work better than the Makita brank collated screws. I had tried Senco Duraspin screws in the Makita autofeed gun, and they just didn't work. These do.
