This belt sander fully meets my needs. I'm into making segmented bowls, and use this machine to flatten the segments for final glueing. Assembly of the machine was easy, and the belt adjusts accurately. Using the belt in either horizonal or vertical position is a convenient feature. The sander comes with a sturdy steel open base, which wasn't mentioned in the Amazon write-up. I replaced the casters with with lockable wheels to make the sander mobile in my small shop.

I own this and the Delta triangle shaped unit. This one is far quieter and easier to change the filters on. On start up, the Delta blows more dust out than collects unless you take it apart and clean the filters which is obvious but.....this is a huge pain because on the Delta you have to unscrew the ends to change out the filter bags. On the Jet, you have a pre-filter that snaps out real easy on the side without the use of tools. (not shown in the picture) You can buy new ones, or blow it off and use it again.
I take mine to job sites where I need to cut inside for trim work. Great for MDF and it shows how well it works on the pre-filter at the end of the day. It makes room clean up that much easier.
I still wear a mask or respirator while cutting, but in 8 or 10 minutes I can take it off and install the cuts.

I have even taped a length of 10" flex air duct to it and dropped it out of a window to prevent the cyclone affect in the room.
Easier shape to pack, nice handle and real quiet on high speed. Simple and efficient. I may even buy another and sell my Delta!

I got this dust collector from Southern Tool and it really 'sucks' ( for some reason Southern Tool was shipping these units 2 weeks before anybody else. The new filters canisters clearly out performs the old bags. Being only 73" tall is another benefit, it will fit in everyones shop. The machine was easy to assemble. One of the filters had been dropped during shipping and had a dent which might cause leakage. I contacted JET and they promtly shipped me a new canister. I have nothing but positive to say about this machine!

I've had my 10" XACTA Right Tilt saw for almost a year now. It has the 30" fence due to limited shop space, however other than the fence it is the same saw. The set-up took about two hours, the hard part being getting the table extensions and table insert flat and true. Mounting the fence rails didn't present a challange, and getting the fence itself square turned out to be easy as well. The instructions were clear and I had already downloaded a copy from the Jet web site to study in anticipation of delivery. Moving to the Jet from a Sears Craftsman is like night and day. The old saw had a hard time with 2" softwood, the Jet zips through all the hardwoods I have fed it and only once have I had anything slow it down. That was the one time I tried to rip a 4x4 a little too fast. I looked at the Unisaw prior to buying the Jet, and concluded that having to buy a dust chute as an extra didn't really make sense. I felt that the Delta also didn't attach the aux. table as well as Jet. Is it perfect? No. I have had to calk the sloping floor of the cabinet to help contain sawdust and keep it off the floor, and it was difficult to find a stud to attach the bonding wire for the dust collector. The finish on the Aux. table was rough and gave me a really bad splinter, but all that is minor. The saw and fence have held allignment as close as I am able to measure for a year now, and that includes a couple of kickbacks that would have brought out the tools on the old saw. I have replaced the spreader with the Byssemeyer in the hope that the increased convinence of the Bysse will lead me to use it more than the origional and stop those dangerous kickbacks. For the money, and a saw of this price and quality should be a lifetime investment, I feel this is the best value around.

Purchased this saw 8 months ago and love it. I was delived right to my shop. Set up was easy. I love the router lift I have a route table that I made awhile ago. It now sits in the corner. This is the best table saw I have owned.

I bought this as a replacement to my Jet Fence on my contractors saw.
This will fit the contractors saw, the difference is the size of the rails which are heavier. You need legs or the saw will tip over. You may have to drill some holes like I did but that's as a retrofit onto a contractors saw. If you have the cabinet saw it should just all bolt up fine.
It's a huge difference over the standard jet fence in terms of control and easy of use. it's long, high and smooth with replacement faces available.

This chuck is a great product. Easy to use and maintain. Powerful with plenty of jaw sets available. Very high quality.

At first impression you are tempted to buy the optional 3" spindle for the Jet Benchtop Osciallating Spindle Sander, and skip the table insert. If you are only doing larger pieces it is possible, but the insert is an important fill to the table top.
All of the spindle inserts are easy to change, since they are only a drop in device with a single nipple so they go in the same every time. Several inserts come with the unit to keep the work support right up to the edge of the spindle sanding sleeve. The 3" shouldn't be any different and that is why this insert is a good idea as well. Highly recommended.

This is a high-quality item which works by scoring the bottom of the cut on either a right tilt or left tilt table saw (must specify). Seems expensive, but gives you a finished cut (free of tear out) on the bottom side of laminates, such as melamine or veneered plywood or regualr plywood for that matter. Once set up in the saw, it changes out like a blade change. You would not leave it in for other work. Without this you would need a dedicated scoring saw for this work. Well worth the price for the shop with only one table saw. Both blades are carbide and all machining seems excellent. There are adustments for precise alignment and reasonably good instructions come with the item. You might need to modify the table insert for clearance.
