Milwaukee Review Nearly there
The Milwaukee power screwdriver is almost there. The torque is tremendous for the 2.4 volt motor. It's still solid and doesn't have any signs of bearing squawk - and I got it used. It's weight makes it a little heavy to grab for minor household repairs - but for repetitive jobs like driving dozens of sheet metal screws, changing outlets, or setting molly screws in sheetrock walls, it is a real wrist saver.

It would be a real advantage to have a bit holder on the driver itself instead of on the charger. Buy a magnetic bit extension so you can use those bits they sell on the hardware counter at 5 for a buck!

It's time for new batteries, since the ones I have are tired out. Not sure how long they last since the driver and batteries were used when I got it. If they last like the driver, I'll be a one happy camper.

Milwaukee Review Hey it's great, but
this unit is the same as the Panasonic unit . it is a 200 RPM low and 400 Rpm high speed. Great for service tech.'s

Milwaukee Review Time and Back Saver
I have used the Miwaukee 6708-21 on many decks and subfloors and it has saved me time and pain. It is fantastic to be able to stand up straight and shoot in up to 20 screws per minute. Milwaukee also offers drill point screws to prevent spliting! My only complaints are that screws and bits may be hard to find locally and a bit will only last 500 - 1000 screws, but I wouldn't give it up for anything. BUY EXTRA BITS AND REPLACE WHEN PERFORMANCE DECREASES!! It is worth it!!

Milwaukee Review best stip screwdriver ever
i have run in approx. 30 to 40 thousand #2 square drive screws and never changed the bit,you really got to adjust it just right and then forget about lost time, thats a thing of the past!!

Milwaukee Review Model 9057-6 durability
I have owned and used daily the milwaukee model 9057-6 12 volt cordless impact for over 4 years now on a daily basis. Taking every thing into consideration, this has been a very dependable product. I have dropped it off 6 & 8 foot ladders onto concrete floors and then picked it up and started using it over again. Only once did the front cover break, which is fairly easy to replace yourself. Anyone looking for a lightweight cordless unit, I would highly recommend this product

Milwaukee Review impact wrench's impact
This is a great way to illiminate the need to spend 500.00 or more on a compressor and wrench set-up. An invaluable tool for every home mechanic.

Milwaukee Review An amazing tool
This is an excellant impact wrench. I have been a garage door installer for many years. I can easily spend most of the day with this tool in my hand and its performance is unmatched. Our company has put these impacts to the test. They are frequently dropped from ladders, but keep on working. When repairs are needed, they are easy to do and the parts are even easier to order (from Milwaukee). I even use it for those really tight lug nugs on trucks. The rocker switch is a must. Sometimes the pin doesn't want to let go a the socket, but with a little persuation it comes right off. Overall, excellant tool, great performance, and amazing durability. Milwaukee impacts are just the best.

Milwaukee Review Good Product.......Almost
I read a few reviews about the poor batteries. I don't have my drill long enough to answer that issue. I do like the way the pack slides off with ease and reverses for tight spaces.

I haven't been able to keep the chuck locked as it keeps coming loose and the bit falls out. So how can a quality drill have a chuck that is poorer than my budget priced drills that I beat around? Come on Milwaukee, let's get it together.

Milwaukee Review Great drill, bad batteries
I have this drill along with the combo kit and the tools are definately top quality however, the batteries just plain suck. The battery packs always die after 18 months or so with no warning at all. They just wont charge period. You have to either buy replacement packs or get another tool, ouch.

Milwaukee Review One year later
When I first bought the drill, it would run all day on one battery. Now it seems like battery life is much shorter. Went through two batteries the other day before noon. Lots of power originally. Take the other reviewer's comments re: batteries seriously.

Milwaukee Review Absolutely terrible batteries come with this set - and they're $$$
First off, the tools themselves are quite good, although there is definitely room for improvement.
Hammer Drill:
+ Great torque, good balance, solid chuck.
- No place to store screw driver bits
Overall a very good hammer drill

Circular saw:
+ Good balance, like the opposite orientation from older circular saws (i.e. this one works for right-handed folks).
- The safety switch is sometimes awkward to engage.

Sawsall Hatchet:
+ Works well at cutting through stuff, adjustable handle is nice when it works.
- Adjustable handle stops broke shortly after I started using it (they're plastic molded-in features on the case and aren't very sturdy).

Batteries:
+ They make good paper-weights
- These are by far the biggest problem with this kit, and bad enough that I DO NOT recommend buying this set. After low to moderate use, one flat gave out, and the other holds maybe 20% of its original charge. I didn't abuse the batteries and they should have lasted much longer. The kicker is that replacements are $80 each!

Conclusion: Maybe the new 28V Lithium-Ion batteries for the new Milwaukee sets work better, but don't waste your money buying any of their 18V sets.

Milwaukee Review batteries border on fraud
The hatchet saw and drill are quality items, the circular saw is worthless. What makes the whole package trash is the batteries which are a joke. In 20 plus years of cordless tool use these are the worst Iv ever seen, used or heard of. Save your money and buy Makita of which the tool quality is as good and whose batteries are, no joke, 10 time better. D. Robinson

Milwaukee Review Great tools, but batteries can be an issue
I love Milwaukee tools. I grew up with Dewalt (which are good tools too) and then switched to Milwaukee after selling tools at Sears for three years. The power, toughness, the ease of use are wonderful.

These tools are heavy, as well as the batteries. These tools were meant to be used. My Milwaukee tools have never let me down, but I get a workout using them.

The batteries have been an issue, but not with me. My only complaint in after some time they are hard to take off the tool. However, I have known some people who have had battery issue. My batteries are 5 years old and they still have a good charge. The new V28 system will make up for any battery problem.

Milwaukee Review I love all my Milwaukee tools except...
This is not a drill I use very offen, and I would expect that it would have lasted a little longer. While running in a screw, I stripped out the gears and now have a tool that will cost as much to repair as it will to replace. Also the paddle switch is not very well designed, for a drill that is intended for cramped spaces I would expect something that was less prone to getting bumped or caught up, also the drill continues to spin long after you let off the paddle. This drill is fine for drilling small holes in cramped spaces that don't need to be damaged, that's about it.

Milwaukee Review Milwaukee 3/8" Close-Quarter Drill
Excellent drill. Allows you to get in tight spots with ease. I borrowed one from a friend and after using it, I had to get one for myself. This is a handy item to have. Easy to use. Lots of power.

Milwaukee Review Nice drill
I like this drill a lot, but I use it for what is is--a close quater drill to get into tight places. It amazes me that someone would try to drill 1 inch holes with it. Would you try to haul 5 tons of iron ore in your 1/2 ton pickup truck. That won't work either.

Milwaukee Review Defective Charger Destroyed Two Batteries
I really like the Milwaukee 14.4 volt drill. It has remarkable power, resonable weight, and a nice working feel. However, the charger apparently failed to shut off and caused the melt down of two batteries. Would I consider buying another Milwaukee? Yes I would, but only if I had the assurance that the charger design has been modified within the past two years. By the way, new batteries are about $60. each.

Milwaukee Review Milwaukee 18Volt was almost perfect
I replaced my DeWalt 12 volt cordless drill after nearly 10 years of service with the Milwaukee 18 volt. I immediately realized that it was going to be nearly impossible to remove the battery without some assistance. I figured that my no-as-strong female hands just couldn't deliver the necessary squeeze power it would take to release the battery. So...I asked a strong male neighbor to give it a try, he failed. Ultimately it took my bench vice to apply enough pressure to the release buttons to do the job. After six months of struggle it hasn't loosend up so I'm taking it back to the store and replacing it with another brand. This time I'll try the battery removal process before I leave the store. As for performance, I loved the drill's power, battery capabilities and balance. I hope they fix the battery problem.

Milwaukee Review Milwaukee 14.4 V 1/2" drill/driver
We bought this drill to replace our 1,100 sq ft redwood deck. The 9.6 V DeWalt we had was barely getting the 3" screws into the treated pine joists. I was tempted by various 18 V models, but their weight and price (the 18 V models had just come out and were still quite expensive) ruled them out. The 14.4 V models seemed to be the right blend of power, weight, and price, and this Milwaukee was available on sale. It made the deck easy work and my arm did not feel like it was going to fall off at the end of the day. I have noted two "convenience" faults: (1) a clip for spare bits is not present and (2) the forward/reverse button, which slides forward and backward, is not as convenient as the push buttons available on most other brands. Milwaukee touts the ability to install the battery in the other direction as a feature allowing access to tight spaces, but I have never encountered a space where this feature was useful. Overall, this is a really solid drill; it feels and sounds like it will last a long time.

Milwaukee Review Great one hander
I bought this tool on clearance from Lowe's. I must say Milwaukee has great customer service and supplied me with the missing wrenches for this tool. I like having the ability to hold the router with one hand with ease. I must agree with another reviewer about it being difficult to get your hand in the strap. I would prefer the PC model with the D handle. This model was on sale for $50.00! I wished the router had a soft start. This router has a lot of torque at start up. Very powerful router.

Milwaukee Review Terrific
Love the BodyGrip and power of this small router. Extremely well built and accurate basic tool. The optional plate allows for use of brass collars. Softstart would be nice, but I knew when I bought it what it had and what it didn't.

Milwaukee Review Terrific router for dove-tailing (and more)
After reading all the non-plunge router reviews I could find, and looking at each model in local stores, three tool features sold me on this unit. It helps living in a large metropolitan area, as numerous local stores sell professional-grade routers.

1.This is the only mid-sized router I could find that is designed to be controllable with one hand, with quick access to the off/on switch (using your right hand). (Holding the router in your left hand, the switch won't be in the right place for your thumb.) This is important to me, because when routing dovetails, I hold a vacuum hose in my left hand, and the router in my right hand, so a two-hands-needed router won't work.

2.Router bits stay in the precise center of the base, even when bit depth is adjusted. This may sound pretty basic, but this is the only (non-plunge) router I could find where this was true. E.g., in ALL of the units where height adjusts via the motor assembly screwing into the base, the router bit shaft is hardly ever in the very center after you tighten the motor housing clamp. While this may not be critical for most router applications, it is whenever using template guides. I.e., in my case, to make dovetail joints.

3.Router had to be relatively light and easy to handle.

Soft-start was not important, although that would have been a nice plus.

I bought this router primarily to use with a Leigh 24" dovetail jig, although it's used for other purposes. It hasn't been used enough to testify as to its longevity, but so far, it's just what the doctor ordered. The micro-adjusting screw is perfect for doing dovetails, where you're typically moving the bit in or out, but 1/100" at a time. As with any well-designed router, you can set it upside down, because nothing sticks out.

Owning 5 routers of various types, I can assure you that there is no "perfect" router for all purposes. For example, I use a 3 hp plunge unit in a large router table - it's soft-start and variable speed, with plenty of power for those super-large panel door cutters, and bit changing needs but ONE wrench from the table top - because the tool's drive shaft can be locked. This Milwaukee unit needs TWO wrenches (included) to change bits; and while it's amazingly simple to insert or remove bits with the router sitting on a bench, that wouldn't be so if it was under a [router] table. Besides, it would be underpowered and too high-speed (for large bits).

The reviewer whose unit vibrated too much probably had a defective router - mine hardly vibrates at all. If I sit my router flat on a bench (with no bit), and turn it on and let go, it just hums, doesn't wander at all - and runs smooth as silk, although it's hardly quiet.

One suggestion: order model 5615-21. It comes with a very nice case and a clever built-in removable router base (click on customer photos above). The case provides outstanding tool protection. Model 5615-20 is JUST the router - no case and no router base.

Since through dovetails need two routers to be set up (for productivity), I'm thinking of buying another one of these...

Milwaukee Review False advertising......
This advertiser is repersenting this tool has the most torque of any cordless impact wrench 240 ft lbs of torque.Dewalt has 300 Ft lbs of lbs on its DW059 cordless impact wrench.I'm not saying which impact wrench is superior just that it has more torque.Maybe seller made a mistake, but truth in advertising is important and the public should be aware.

Milwaukee Review good enough
So far I am more than satisfied. I have been using it as a track wrench for changing wheels/tires from street to race and back again at auto x events. One battery can do at least two cars easily and maybe more. I have not tried reaching max torque. I have used a torque stick for 65 ft/lb and have reached that with no problem by holding a few seconds. Tool is heavy but it sure beats the alternative.

Milwaukee Review Amazing Tool
I work at a tractor dealership and bought the impact/drill 18v combo. WOW. The MAC and Craftsman air impacts barely get used anymore because of this beast. This thing loosens rusted 5/8" blade spindle bolts with ease and lasts up to an hour on one battery with moderate use. As another review mentioned, it doesn't kick up dust like air impacts which is really nice on farm machinery. IT IS HEAVY, but it is more balanced than an air gun which I think makes it more comfortable in the long run.

Obviously the huge advantage is no cords so it is extrememly nice on a service calls and fixing flat tires in remote storage buildings without an air compressor.

Highly recommended, along with the 18v Milwaukee drill.
