Milwaukee Review One of the BEST
I have several routers (Proter Cable, Hatachi, Bosch, DeWalt and Ryobi) ranging in Hp from 1 1/2 - 3 1/4. Each of these routers have outstanding features, but the one I would rate over all is the Milwaukee D and the Body comfort models.

When it comes to control these two routers give the feeling of complete control over what you are doing. The startup is smooth and the power is above average.

I would recommend both of these routers highly.

Well done Milwaukee...

Milwaukee Review great toy
best router I have ever used! Porter cable, look out!

Milwaukee Review Well thought out design
I had been looking for a "D" handle router and was in the process of deciding on the Bosch or the Makita when I came across Milwaukee's router. Both of the previous two have good reputations, and I'm sure I would have been happy with either, but what caught my eye was the features on the Milwaukee... and it didn't hurt that it was several dollars cheaper. My primary reason for wanting the "D" handle is that I prefer having that motor switch right at my fingertips.

One feature I like, is that the base is tightened down to the motor, or loosened, with a metal lever that snaps open and closed. This is easier than twisting a knob, and once closed, you have a positive lock. (yes, I have failed to tighten a knob securely enough on another router and had the base come loose while operating it). Removal of the base is done by pressing a button and sliding the motor out of the base. "Coarse" adjustments are made the same way. A knob is provided on the top side for making fine adjustments. Though the adhustment is not a fine as on my plunge router, I find it to work very well. The collets require 2 wrenches to install bits, and the wrenches provided are the forged type rather than stamped metal, a definite plus.

All in all this router is a pleasure to use, and my past experience with Milwaukee service has been very good.

Milwaukee Review Good assortment to start
This is a good assortment of blades to start with. I have only used a couple of the blades so far but it is nice to have the variety for the odd jobs when I will need them.
The blades I have used for metal and wood cutting have held up well so far.

Milwaukee Review A must have for your saw
An excellent addition for your tool box. It is always a good idea to have back-up blades when starting a project, and this packet fits the need perfectly. Very good quality blades, from a well respected name in power tools.

Milwaukee Review Buy one with your Sawzall
If you're buying your first Sawzall you need some blades. This kit has an assortment of blades for cutting most kinds of materials. If you're a professional using your Sawzall on the job you'll soon know which one you use the most and can buy lots of that kind. The others are there if you occasionally need to cut something else.

Milwaukee Review Good tool
The hatchet is up to milwaukee's usual standards and is of excellent build quality. I see this reciprocating saw as being for someone who only needs it for small to medium jobs. Right now I have been using the saw for a demo project on a commercial building and my only complaint would be that saws gets extremely hot after long uses. Black handle grip gets hot enough to burn hands when used for long periods under heavy hand pressure and therefore gloves are needed. Even with gloves many breaks are needed as the saw even burns my hands while wearing gloves. Because of this heat problem I gave this tool four stars, but otherwise I would definitely recommend this tool to a DIY type person or someone who needs a sawzall occaisionally.

Milwaukee Review Very Handy
This is my first reciprocating saw so I don't have a lot to compare it with. I don't know how I lived without this saw for so long. I love it. The positionable handle is great for getting into awkward places. The saw is powerful enough to quickly get through all of the jobs I have used it for so far.
It is very easy and quick to switch blades.
It's also nice that it has the quick release power cord.
Sturdy but light weight enough to use easily.
An excellent saw.

Milwaukee Review great Idea
I have used this saw for a few months now. As another reviewer mentioned this new handle feels more natural to hold and the way it folds down makes it really compact and with its 3/4 inch stroke its ideal for tight spaces. The quik change blade system is better than any I've used in the past(portercable, dewalt)its counter balanced mechanism works great very little vibration and plenty of power. I highly recommend this tool but for certain jobs I perfer a recepricating saw with more amps and a longer stroke [1"1/8 to 1"1/4]they are more aggressive not to say that this saw cant hold its own this is a great saw.2005 this is the last thing I will ever buy from amazon as there customer service is now being outsourced and they are snotty arogent and useless too bad there customer service was the best on the planet

Milwaukee Review best darned drill box I ever did own
what more can I say? If you're in the market for a high-end drill box, then this baby is your ticket. The features are too many to list here. I'll just say that this box has not disappointed me one iota. I was a little nervous at the time of ordering because of the countless sub-par boxes out there, but my anxiety disappated once I held this one in my hand. Pure quality. I even dropped it intentionally off of a three story building, and guess what? Not even a scratch. I highly recommend this drill box.

Milwaukee Review Nice box, esp. for Amazon's price (w/ free shipping)
Nice metal drill box/case. Has a padded saddle which cradles the drill, keeping it from sliding around inside. Nicely made for the price. Amazon shipping was good -- box in box -- arrived undamaged. Nice size for holding drill and acc. Not too big. 1/2" 0302-20 fits perfect ...

Milwaukee Review Terrific bargain
If you believe in protecting your tools, and at the prices tools go for why wouldn't you?, this Milwaukee Steel Carrying Case is is ideal. It's sturdy, roomy, and conveniently laid out. The locking mechanism is reliable, unlike other cases. If you are a professional or just handy around the house, this box is a necessity, not a luxury. And at Amazon's prices--a bargain.

Milwaukee Review Excellent Bits
Milwaukee always represents quality and this set is no exception. Well worth the expenditure.

Milwaukee Review Amazing drill bits
If you want good, really really good, drill bits - GET THESE! The differance between these and cheap ones is unbelievable. Worth every penny. Accurately sized, finely machined, SHARP, properly ground angle, and somewhat larger sized index case with size markings that are easy to read. I first used these to drill some holes in metal for tapping. Granted I was using a drill press but I hardly felt any resistance at all in the handle. A perfect clean hole.

Milwaukee Review Great Bits
Good drill bits are getting harder and harder to find! These are the fastest and smoothest bits I've found for drilling metal hands down.

Milwaukee Review who needs a worm-drive?
i'll preface this by saying i'm a professional carpenter and make my living using my tools.

i have owned or used worm-drives from skil, makita, and bosch, as well as sidewinders from porter-cable, makita, hitachi, skil, and dewalt. this milwaukee is my saw of choice in nearly every situation--it is light (4+lbs less than a worm-drive), powerful, accurate, and the tilt-lok handle is a great feature. at first, i thought i'd not use the tilt-lok often, but i end up using it in a different position several times a day. another feature easily overlooked but crucial is the positioning of the secondary handle. i most often cut one-handed anyway, but when i do grab the front handle, my hand and wrist are far enough forward to stay well away from the blade sightline.

my only (small) complaint is that i'd prefer the dust collection to be a bit more organised. porter-cable saws do a great job with this, and i wonder why the other manufacturers can't seem to get it together.

if i had it to do over again, i'd spring for the blade brake model--the blade can do a lot of damage in the 8-10 seconds it takes to spin down.

Milwaukee Review This is an outstanding saw
I received this saw as a birthday present, allowing me to retire my old underpowered and inaccurate Black & Decker "Sawforce" saw. The Milwaukee arrived in perfect condition and purred like a kitten from the start. I have been very impressed with every aspect of this thing, most notably:

The tool-less ability to change the base plate angle as needed;

The POWER. It cuts wet framing lumber and quarter sawn white oak with equal ease;

With all that power, I have not experienced any binding, stalling, kicking, burning etc;

The tilt lock handle is fantastic. I cannot conceive of using a saw without it now that I have it;

The blade that came with the saw is quite good.

Overall I cannot say enough good things about this saw. Its relatively light, very accurate, powerful, and feels like it will outlast me. Buy one yourself and you won't be sorry!

Milwaukee Review Fine Woodworking magazine was right!!
I bought this saw about 5 months ago to replace an old Makita and have used it almost daily since. I did a lot of research before buying using online reviews and magazine comparisons. After reading the reviews and having previous experience with other Milwaukee products, I opted for this one.

The tilt-lok handle makes it very easy to change positions, allowing for maximum control and comfort while sawing. I especially like the adjustable front handle. It makes beveled cuts a snap, keeping maximum leverage right where it needs to be. Once you use it, you will miss it if you have to use anything else. With 15 amps, I haven't found any wood too tough to cut with it even with a dulling blade. I purchased the edge guide about two months ago. This is a necessary addition if you cut lots of plywood.

I am becoming quite a Milwaukee "fan-boy". Every tool of theirs I've bought has been a winner. As long as they keep making tools with this kind of quality, performance and features, I'll be a user for life. This saw will be a welcome addition to any serious woodworker's shop or contractor's truck. If you're still undecided, give this saw a try. You won't regret it.

Milwaukee Review The real thing
I purchased this drill to help build my new home and it has been a real work horse. Forget about the half inch drill, when you want to go through wood, this is the real thing. Throw a self feeding bit on the front and hold on tight. This cuts holes as big as you want fast. Just pray that your dentist never gets ahold of one of these....

Milwaukee Review plumbers friend
As a plumbing contractor for 25 years we started using this model when it first came out in the early 80's. Compact, quick and powerful. We tried the makita copy of the milwaukee when it came out in the late 80's but it had a clutch that activated too easily, so you couldn't finish a tough hole with it. Very frustrating with the Makita. the Milwaukee has no clutch so you have to be careful about the torque. We throw away both the t handle and pipe handle extensions as we have never used them. The trick to controlling the torque is to snuggle up to the drill and keep it close to your body. That way if it jams your body soaks up the torque not just your arms. Also, we drill large holes [toilet flanges etc.] on high speed using hole saws. The drill has less torgue to whack you with at high speed. We wear them out mostly drilling toilet flanges when they jam on deep cuts, resulting in gear rebuilds, but it takes several years of brutal use to get to that point. very compact for the power.

Milwaukee Review the "only" drill for plumbers
I have used these drills for over 15 years installing plumbing in new construction and have tried just about every other type and brand of drill. None of them comes close to the "Hole Hawg". Beware that this drill is very powerful and should be operated with extreme caution.

Milwaukee Review Don't mess around, get this one first
I'm not particulary brand loyal, but these people really build some fantastic tools. Not all Milwaukee stuff is great, but this drill has more power than most cordless drills, can take massive abuse, and lasts a long time on a charge. It has weaknesses (the triggers destroy themselves) but all in all a super top notch unit. I've been through several other brands, but this one is a keeper. I'm becoming convinced that if you want indestructable heavy duty tools, milwaukee is the way to go. All of my other milwaukee tools have taken such abuse it is amazing, but not even a dent or scratch.

If you have a second battery and the quick charger, you never have to stop working. If you need to drive a 18" long 1" dia auger bit through huge timbers like I've done, this unit will do it effortlessly.

Milwaukee Review more than impressive
Ive owned the Milwaukee 18 volt drill for over twelve months
now and its without a doubt the best cordless Ive ever used!

Just to name a few I have driven 150-3inch screws into hard
wood on a single charge! Ive drilled 5/8 inch holes into
concrete 8 inches deep (I dont have the hammer model) too
many times to list. Ive drilled 1/2 inch holes into marble.
basically no screw or drill material has evan slowed it down.

The tool has been under daily use for 12 months with many days
of up to 6 hours usage. The first two days I used the Milwaukee
it felt heavy but I havent noticed it since. The balance is
incredible especially working overhead with the battery reversed.

My drill has hit the deck dozens of times with one 15 foot fall
off a ladder onto a concrete driveway, the only damage was
a few deep scratches in the body.

If possible the tool seems to get stronger with age!
Milwaukee has a real winner here and over all I say it smokes
the yellow and blue brands (I own both)

My only commplaint is that the Milwaukee emblem is wearing of the side.................

Milwaukee Review blown away
After using the Milwaukee 18volt drill for over 7 months now I am simply blown away. Just to name a few, I have driven over
150, 3" inch screws into hardwood on a single charge, drilled 5/8 inch holes 8inches deep into concrete with ease (even though I do not own a hammer model) drilled 1/2 inch holes into marble and drove 1/4 inch lag bolts that were 10 inches long, just to name a few.

I have dropped the tool several times including one 15 foot drop onto a concrete driveway with nothing but scratches resulting.

The balance of the tool is excelent especially when working overhead. The weight of the drill seemed heavy on the first
and second day I used it, but I havent noticed it since.

For 7 months I have used this tool everyday and many times that included 5-7 hours of use in a day, the tool performs no differently than the first day I used it, if anything it seems
even more powerful now!!!

This tool performs better than some corded drills I have owned in the past, and in my experience outperforms the yellow brand
and the blue brand over the long haul. The only critiscism I have
is that the milwaukee emblem is starting to wear of the side of the tool..............

Milwaukee Review USCMBT
I was all set to buy a Dewalt 14V cordless drill but after reading the reviews I decided to buy the Milwaukee. This is the first Milwaukee tool I have ever bought. It just happend that a local hardware store had the 18V on sale. I'm glad I went with the 18V instead of the 14V. The 18V had to work a little to drive in the 3/8 x 6" lag screws I was putting in. I used too small of a pilot hole. But hey, I now know what this drill can do. Since I have purchased this drill I have yet to use my corded drill. Because of the quality of this drill I will consider future purchases of Milwaukee products.

Milwaukee Review A year of abuse and still going strong
I've had my Milwaukee 18v drill for over a year now, I'm a plumber by trade, and I punish this drill on a daily basis. Although I don't recommend abusing any power tool, there are times when you don't have a choice. I used to have a DeWalt 18v that worked great for about 6 months, then things started happening, like the trigger assembly went out, and then the motor burned up, and then I threw it away. The Milwaukee is one heavy duty piece of equipment, you can't go wrong with one. All I can really say is, that if your looking for a high quality cordless tool that won't let you down in the middle of a job, then the Milwaukee power plus should be number one on your shopping list.

Milwaukee Review A quality tool - real power, endurance and a good design
I am impressed with this tool every time I use it. I comparison shopped the Milwaukee against several other top brands, including Dewalt 24 volt. The reversible battery really helps adjust the tool's balance point, and it has substantial torque for driving large boring bits and seating hefty wood screws, even in high gear! Battery capacity is also impressive - lasting much longer than I expected. Don't be fooled by other manufacturers "24 volt" ratings - power is NOT measured in volts. The secret to prolonged power is the watt-hour and amp-hour ratings of the battery pack, not just the voltage. The new generation Milwaukee 2.4 amp-hour batteries provide tremendous charge duration and tool power. It is very well made, with solid construction and tight seams that do not squirm under load. The rectangular battery packs are tidy to store in the tool box, much better than the irregular shaped battery packs on some other brands. If I lost this drill tomorrow, I would immediately replace it with another Milwaukee. Simply excellent!

Milwaukee Review good stuff
I agree with the other reviewers: Milwaukee makes quality tools and this is another example. Good box, quality templates. I'm glad I bought them.

Milwaukee Review Great quality and Great Case
These are made really well, but the 2 things I liked best was the spare locking nut included, and the case. They give you 2 lock nuts. The quality and fit was great and the case was compact and rugged. The other sets I looked at had a cheap, hard plastic case that I would have broken in no time. One Note...most Milwaukee routers come with a sub base that has a 2 1/2" hole. You'll need the other plastic sub base with the 1 3/16" hole to use these guides. MIlwaukee Part # 49-54-1040.

Milwaukee Review Super Nice Template Set
If you are wanting a really high quality template set ,this is it.The fit and finish is A-1.Really nice high polish machine finish.
