Milwaukee Review 4.5 stars
If, like me, you've blunted your previous chain on cardboard cut-outs of the Hollyoaks cast, then you'll appreciate the relief of being able to easily acquire a replacement.
Let the carnage continue...

Milwaukee Review Great Quality, Great Price !!
This is a good quality piece of kit. If you need to replace the chain on your chain saw then this is most definitely the one to get.
I personally don't own a chainsaw but I liked the look of it so much I bought a chain anyway. I wear it when I go out of an evening as an accessory. I've always been keen on piercings and other such metal implements that can be worn on the body so this was the perfect addition to my collection. It's long enough to reach down to the belly button ring which I use to stop it swaying about when I'm wearing it.
Anyway if you want this for your chain saw or just to look good. Buy this chain !

Milwaukee Review Wow, very good for med. duty
If you are a pro and use this everyday you may not want to get this, but if your a jack of all trades or just to use once or twice a week this is great for you.

Milwaukee Review The hole saw kit for all your odd jobs.
If you're an electrician or a plumber you will already know how valuable a hole saw set like this is. I was skeptical as to how good this would be. Once I started using it though, I realized that it was just like every other product I have ever used with the Milwaukee name on it, superb. If you need a hole saw kit and want to but it online this is the one to buy.

Milwaukee Review Typical Milwaukee Quality
The hard part of caulking with a manual gun is maintaining an even pressure on the trigger. That's the main advantage of this gun. With it taking care of the pressure on the cartridge, all you have to do is move the gun in a steady motion to achieve a nice, smooth, even bead of caulk. Plus, your trigger hand wont get tired.

A plus is an immediate pressure relief once the trigger is released, so you don't get a drip from the end of the tube. You can hear the clutch click just before caulk is expelled, so you know when to start moving the gun.

It's reasonably compact, although it might be a bit tight if you were trying to caulk a toilet base, for example. Just break out the manual gun for that.

It has a variable speed dial on the back, to control the flow rate depending on what you are doing (slow for caulking, fast for adhesives).

It will squeeze every last bit out of a cartridge.

It comes with a trigger lock; witch comes in handy if you have curious/doofus neighbors/brother-in-laws around that want to see how it works, when you aren't looking.

Milwaukee claims you can expel 10 cartridges on a single charge. That may be a bit optimistic, and will depend on the bead size cut into the tube, the viscosity of the material, and even the temperature. However, if you are doing 10 tubes a day or more, just get some extra batteries. It uses the same 2.4 V battery as in Milwaukee's cordless screwdrivers.

Although it isn't listed, it comes with one battery and a 1-hour charger.

I bought mine because I purchased a house where all the windows needed to be caulked, not because I will use it to make a living. I reserved one star because it's a just a little bit pricey (more expensive than the more substantial SawZall, for instance), but you never regret buying a nice tool in the end. It's not out of the question for the typical homeowner who happens to be a bit of a tool freak.

If you are a contractor, you might want to look at the new 12V guns Milwaukee just came out with, but they will certainly be a lot heavier.

It doesn't make caulking fun, but almost.

Milwaukee Review Review Of Milwaukee MOdel 6550-20 Caulking Gun
This is a convenient tool to have available when working with 10 oz. cartridges of RTV sealant, molding adhesives, etc. Power comes from a 2.4 volt rechargeable battery. I've discovered that a single charge of the battery is sufficient to use continuosly on 2-3 cartridges but if you stop using the gun for 1-2 hours, say a lunch break, the battery will need to be recharged. It apparently loses it's charging capacity if idle for more than 1-1.5 hours. I therefore, strongly recommend buying a second battery for large jobs. The instruction manual lists a 10 cartridge capacity on a single battery charge but that appears to be overly optimistic. Model 6550-20 is heavier than the common hand operated caulking gun, but the disadvantage of the added weight is overcome by the ease of the trigger mechanism wich easily expels sealant. The caulking gun expels sealant as long as finger pressure is applied to the trigger. The moment you remove pressure on the trigger, the plunger mechanism stops pushing against the cartridge and no additional sealant is expelled. Unlike hand operated caulking guns, I've experience absolutely no excess sealant pouring out once the trigger has been released. There is also a trigger locking feature which allows for continuous operation of expelling sealant. I've found that a two click racheting sound is emitted from the plunger just prior to the sealant being expelled. This sound is caused by the plunger making initial contact with the back end of the cartridge. This racheting sound is convenient since it signals the moment just before the sealant is about to be expelled. There is an adjustable knob on the gun body which adjusts the plunger speed and thus sealant flow. I've found however, that the amount of sealant used is dependent more on how fast one can move the gun along a bathroom tub/tile line than the speed of the adjustment knob. The gun comes with a handle strap, which easily slips over your hand to avoid accidentally dropping the gun. This handle strap is extrememly helpful when using the gun in such awkward places as high up on a ladder. Asided from the limitations of the 2.4 volt battery, my only other complaint regarding this gun is its somewhat large size which is difficult to maneuver in such tight spots as the space around the toilet bowl and nearby walls. Although the price for the gun is prohibitive when compared to a hand operated caulking gun, the investment is well worth the expenditure if you have several bathrooms to caulk. Unlike hand operated caulking guns which require a constant hand applied force to expell the sealant, the model 6550 requires only finger pressure on the trigger and when the trigger lock mechanism is engaged even that is not required. This is a feature your hands will certainly appreciate after using two or more cartridges of sealant.

Milwaukee Review Milwaukee 2.4v cordless screwdriver
My company uses dozens of these screwdrivers in production of electrical power system protection products. The screwdrivers are used collectively hundreds of times daily. The drivers theirselves are usually very reliable. The problem these have is centered around the batteries and chargers. We have had a fair amount of failures where the charger malfunctions and over charges the batteries causing failure of the batteries. Due to the heavy use of these units the chargers are in use continually as the batteries get discharged more often, sometimes as many as five times a day per driver. The problem here is the replacement cost of the charger is nearly as much as buying a complete kit.

Milwaukee Review Great for DIYer
I can't tell you how many B&D power screwdrivers I've purchased for roughly $30 just to have them fail after 1 1/2 years to 2 years of routine, home use. The last time, I had it for about a year and the thing called it quits. The first thing I realized was that I was going to have to spend around $100 for a decent contractor grade screwdriver. This seemed like a lot at first, but after realizing that I had already spent over $100 in cheaper screwdrivers that simply did not last, I accepted the amount.

So, I want to get a new power screwdriver, but which one? Initial research reduced the number of brands to three which wasn't too bad: DeW..., Pana... and Milwaukee. I must tell you that although I like the look and specifications of DeW... tools, they tend to be a fifty-fifty hit with quality overall. They're great for certain tools like drills and circular saws, but I didn't find great reviews on the screwdriver. The one thing that made me stay away from the DeW... was the design of the bit chuck. Owners wrote that the chuck is pulled back to lock the bit in place, but complained of bits falling out when inserting the tool in a workbelt or when the screwdriver was accidentally dropped. Having a bit fall out when up in the attic with hands full really doesn't sound too cool to me.

The Pana... had excellent reviews and people wrote of them lasting 10 to 15 years. Sounds great, but I'm not aware of many Pana... power tools so finding service or additional parts might be difficult. So I went for the Milwaukee.

I purchased the Milwaukee 6547-22 Kit, 2.4 Volt, 2 Speed cordless screwdriver for $110 from Amazon. The kit comes with two batteries, a charger, a chuck, a few bits (including a few drill bits), and the screwdriver. It's works well for light drilling such as when mounting wall anchors and such, but it doesn't replace a drill. I didn't expect that since I bought it for driving screws (hence the name). It's also very light and easily fits in a workbelt.

It's nice to be able to do all light work such as mounting raceway or putting together furniture with just one tool. So far, it has been excellent and it's the first tool I grab when having to do any work that involves screws. I also had to install a threshold in the patio and this is where it really shined. I adjusted the torque to its maximum and set the speed to low and was able to drive the screws two inches into the concrete (holes were predrilled of course). Not a problem and it stopped exactly where I wanted it too. This was after my 18 Volt drill ripped the head off the center screw, though. Oh well, you live and you learn.

I definitely like the screwdriver, but it would be nice if it had just a little more power. For this reason, I'd give it four stars in an ideal world, but compared to the other power screwdrivers in the market I'll give it five. Being that it is for home use, I expect it to last quite some time.

Milwaukee Review Great Quality, easy use...except
I've been using this tool every day for the past month for hanging drywall, fastening cement board, putting down decking and installing wood plank flooring. It has performed admirably and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase and use this tool again. For the price it is an excellent value - even when compared with other brands such as DeWalt, Makita, etc.... The "no-slip" depth adjustment is a great feature when you take of the gauge to back out screws - you just put the gauge back on without concern for readjustment, it's always right on.

My only reservation is the adjustment of the depth gauge itself. It becomes noticebly more difficult to use after only a little dust has collected - a frequent occurance with drywall and cement board. I found myself cleaning and lubing this part once a day when it was in constant use. If you're using the tool for the same depth all the time, I suppose this isn't a concern. Other than this one bad tick , the tool is very well made (it's a Milwaukee after all) and very easy to use.

Milwaukee Review milwaukee magnum
Our shop has been using the same 1/2" magnum for the past 10 -15 years. My employees have been droppping it on concrete floors, and abusing it the entire time, and it still works great. The drill has plenty of torque, so when drilling large diameter holes you better be holding the drill tight. Note: only buy one with a Jacobs keyed chuck. The Keyless chucks are junk. When drilling a larger diameter hole, it is difficult to get the keyless chuck tight enough to hold the bit. Otherwise, a magnum with a standard chuck is probably the best hand drill of this size ever made.

Milwaukee Review combo
I have the 14.4-volt drill and use it every day. It is light, has the power when I need it, I can use the drill for hours on a single charge. The light is extremly handy, very bright, can be used hours on a single charge, includes extra bulb. I have yet to find a better drill that is that light with that much power for the price.

Milwaukee Review Cuts well...but lives a short life
I used this blade to cut through the stucco on my house when I was installing an air conditioner. It worked well compared to other tools I had tried, including a RotoZip cutter equipped with a carbide blade and a Milwaukee Sawzall equipped with wood- and steel-cutting blades. But although these tungsten carbide blades work, they don't last long. I went through two of them on my relatively small project, and since they're rather expensive, the money adds up quickly. But what are the alternatives? Hmmm...now they don't seem so expensive after all.
