MILWAUKEE BATTERIES SUCK!!!I HAVE 7 MILWAUKEE 18V POWER TOOLS. I HAVE GONE THROUGH 12 OR MORE BATTERIES. THEIR BATTERIES SUCK! THE TOOLS WON'T WEAR OUT, BUT THE BATTERIES WILL NOT LAST. IN A NORMAL DAY I WILL USE 5-6 BATTERIES COMPARED TO 2 DEWALTS ON THE SAME TYPE TOOL. I'M SELLING THE MILWAUKEES AND CHANGING TO DEWALT.
4 batteries dead in 8 months...4!Though I did not buy brand new 18v Milwaukee batteries from Amazon (yet) more customers need to be aware their Ni-Cad 18v series has major issues. I bought a multipiece kit, impact wrench, and one extra battery. Not 10 months later, ALL batteried began losing charge in a matter of days to the point the charger would not recharge them they were so dead. No other brand of Ni-Cad's have done this. NOT ONE. And I have 3 other brands, and one generic American Gardner 18v bush trimmer battery.
Milwaukee 18v batteries are complete junk, and not worth a dime.
Look for their 18v lithium series though. Since I have their tools aready, I dont have much choice but to pay (what I'm sure to be) an insanly high price for one.

Oak Park BP20051 Router Base Plate 11" with Pin
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Make your own...I should have read the other reviewer's comments about this base plate before buying it....didn't get it on Amazon...impulse buy at a woodworking store. It doesn't fit the Freud FT 2000 very well and won't fit on the Triton at all. Returned it to the store and exchanged it for a larger, 3/8 thick, blank piece of phenolic, and a brass pin. Will make my own. Can't recommend this one.
Does not fit well with a FreudI ordered this plate because I was planning on building a router table for my Freud FT2000, and it had the Freud listed as one of the routers it supported. I did not want to have to manually drill a plate so this one seemed to fit. Well needless to say this plate does not work to well with the FT2000. The FT2000 comes with 2 types of mounting holes. One is a set of 3 6mm screws that should be used when mounting from a table. The second is a set of 4 4mm screws that are used for the standard base plate. The problem is that the Oak Park base plate is drilled to use 5mm screws so the use of the 6mm Freud holes was out of the question. I then tried using the 4mm screws, but after mounting the plate and looking at the setup I felt that it would not be safe. There would have been only around 1/8" of phenolic holding the a 16 lb, 3 1/4 hp router. There were a couple of other things that I did not like about this plate. First it is only 1/4" thick, and with its dimension being 11"x11" I thought that it might bow a little especially with a heavy router. Also because it tries to be compatible with most routers it has large groves running radially around the plate. This could cause pieces to stick or shift when running through the table.
works for meI just rebuilt my router table to use the Oak Park plate. Fits much more flat than my old rousseau plate, I also have been using it hand held to profile edges. No complants! holds the router close to center of hole and doesn't seem to flex.

toolbuzzI purchased this saw about a year ago. I hold a full time position as a site superintendent so I only use my tools when I land side jobs. This saw looked to be a well built tool. I bought it because most of my side work is remodeling. I have around 15-20 hours tops on this tool. Just recently I was in the middle of a job when it just DROPPED DEAD on me. The tool still looks new. I had to finish the job with my 5year old DeWalt 18 volt. New the saw cut great but if I cant depend on a tool; my customer cant depend on me!!! I will think twice before I buy Milwaukee again.

Does the jobWorks well in collecting the dust, but it has a sharp plastic "backbone" in the thing that chewed through after only minor abrasion. That is why I am giving it a 2. Best advise would be to wrap the plastic in tape to prevent abrasion tear through of the bag.

No frills boxI purchased a steel carrying case for my Milwaukee drill a year ago and was quite pleased with it. It had a foam-cushioned bracket inside that cradled the drill, and also included a tray that was able to hold bits and accessories. I decided to purchase a case for my Milwaukee grinder as well, so I purchased this item. Unfortunately, the features of Milwaukee's drill case were not carried over into this one. This case is empty... no bracket to keep the grinder from sliding around inside and no accessory tray. For half the price, I could've bought a small Craftsman tool box that's twice the size AND includes the tray. This is much too expensive to simply be an 'empty box'.

shoulda measured betterI shoulda measured better. I thought I was ordering the bag that came with mt 4 piece tool set. Not so, this bag is much smaller, but very well made, not big enuf for portable saws but good for smaller tools like drills n hand tools. Dan Briggs

Poorly designed box... 1/2" from being prefectI purchased this case for my Milwaukee grinder. I was thrilled when I found it because most of Milwaukee's cases today are the plastic style which don't give you much room for extras. When I got it, it looked perfect. Its dimensions are 14-1/2 x 12 x 4-3/4". The grinder fits in angled, and slightly offset in order to accommodate the side handle, and there's plenty of extra storage space for anything you have. I put my grinder and accessories in the case, everything looked perfect... that is, until I tried to close the cover. The edge of the side handle sticks up about 1/2" too high and there's no way to close it with the handle attached. I contacted Milwaukee who told me that I would have to remove the handle to store the tool, which is not very practical, especially since the case looks to be offset in order to accommodate the side handle. If the case was 1/2" taller, it would fit perfectly. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Could be a whole lot betterWe have had this saw on the job for 2 years, and every time I have used it, it drove me crazy. The blade height adjustment is totally worthless. It sticks and jams every time. You have to reset it way too many times to get into position, which if your trying to get the job done it can waste your time.I always get my Porter-cable to get on with it.Work on it Milwaukee!
